This house was very comfortable for 12 adults and children. It’s a short walk to the beach so convenient location. We had some issues with the kitchen appliances not working while the air conditioning was running. Bathrooms were clean but lacking a shower curtain in the main bedroom. Paper window shades should be replaced. The kitchen is well supplied and there’s a convenient gas grill outside of the kitchen. The host was always available when we needed help. The listing states it sleeps 17 but that’s not realistic. Overall we had a great stay with our family.

Great stay!

My friends and I stayed for a weekend - the house was super clean, Solaidad was so nice and responsive to any questions I had, and the location was perfect - right in the middle of Asbury park, walking distance to everything.

Wonderful, clean and close to beach

My group and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Host was quick to respond to any messages and the property has everything you need to have a great time at the shore. Would definitely return here with my group!

Great spot for large groups!

This house was spacious, clean and new! We booked this house for a wedding weekend in Asbury and it was perfectly located to the restaurants and beach.

Amazing and special trip!

There were 17 of us who stayed here, and we had the best time! The house was perfect and the host was the most accommodating. She made the visit so special. The house is very close to the beach and Asbury Park. I cannot wait to stay here again!

Great for family reunions!

This was a great house in a sweet neighborhood with so much in walking distance (coffee shops, grocery, beach). House was super clean and exactly as shown in pictures. A perfect spot for our family reunion!

For paying a premium price, most of the experience was "just OK" whereas I expected a premium hospitality experience that corresponds with the price. The location is solid but nothing exceptional -- a longer walk to the beach than advertised (advertised as 2 blocks, actually closer to 6-7 blocks... definitely more than 10 min advertised, closer to 20), neighbors closely watching and skeptical of guests, more of a neighborhood than a vacation area.Some missing touches: no kitchen towels or paper towels, despite advertisement of having nespresso & keurig pods there were none available, keurig required 30 min of effort to work effectively (needed cleaning cycle), bathrooms no body wash (it says "basic soaps" but that is only hand soap). Overall not very tidy, BBQ area had stuff everywhere, fire pit (covered in other stuff) and hot tub (gross, hose broke) not usable. Some of the beds were un-sleep-ably poor quality. Says "breakfast available" but not really clear that there was any meaningful breakfast options (some old stale oats?). Not enough bath towels for a long weekend or full house.5 beach passes were advertised but not received (though refunded). Hose was broken (spewed water out of a punctured hole in the middle). Most of the beach chairs were for children. We had to rent more.Host was relatively responsive and helpful. None of this is terrible, but again, paid 2.6k/night, so would have expected top notch location & experience, and these little things add up.

Host was very responsive and helpful. She came to fix the stairs when they were broken on arrival, and she replaced the empty propane on the grill. Only 4 adult beach passes included with the rental. No A/C in one bedroom, but the others were fine. Well equipped with kitchen items and a couple small beach umbrellas and beach chairs.

Great Place for big group

Wonderful, we’ll appointed house with everything you need for the beach just a few blocks away. And games in case of rain. Small yard with plenty of chairs for barbecue or hanging out. 6 big beds + pull out sofa (great living room with lots of sofas for relaxing); very clean; nice amenities (coffee, sugar, some spices, plenty of air conditioning, water). Highly recommend.

Overpriced

Host was excellent. She was responsive and thoughtful in her provisions albeit skimpy (not enough soap or towels). The furnishings were pretty poor- it felt like the furniture was purchased at garage sales. The sofas were soiled and main living furniture was quite outdated. The neighborhood was not great, especially for $1200.00 a night. That said, it was a convenient walk to the beach. The house was clean and smelled fresh upon entering. I would never stay here again, however, at this rate. It was very overpriced.

Thank you for noting my efforts to be a great host. We do provide at least 14 bath towels, 12 bathrobes, as well as laundry pods (in case you run out). When you did message me letting me know some of the toiletries were running low, you declined my offer to immediately replenish them. You also stated how comfortable the furnishings were. I try to provide a great experience for my guests, and unfortunately this was not the case. Again, thank you for staying with us at The Anchor House.
