We had a wonderful family holiday with our entire family. Plenty of room for all 12 of us. Lots of close by conveniences and easy to get to the slopes.
5 night stay with 9 adults and 6 children. Perfect house with plenty of room for our large family. Kids loved the hot tub. Pool table was unusable as no tips on ques and little clearance with walls. Nice neighborhood
We had 4 families - 15 people stay in the house and it was perfect for our group. For all the activities we did it was a perfect location to get to white water rafting, zip lining, UTV rides and Vail. Definitely would recommend to any families or larger groups.

We stayed here with three families. Very comfortable. Appreciated all the little extras like toys, pool table, plastic bags, comfortable beds. The place was as advertised. Would stay again.
This home was just as advertised and perfect for our reunion of 5 families. We had everything we could have needed for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this home and will try to get back there myself!

Thanks for your review, Lynn! It means so much to us that you all had a great time at the house. Come see us again sometime!
Great place to stay, very clean, spacious, great views, close to ski lifts and other activities, just be careful with noise, neighbor is always watching so better stay inside after 10.00 pm.
Thank you.
My family and I stayed at this lodge in Silverthorne to celebrate my daughter’s wedding. The ceremony was at A-Basin (approx 25 minutes away) and the reception was at the Hyatt in Keystone (approx 15 minutes away). The location was not only convenient, but it accommodated our large group and everyone’s specific requests and needs. It provided the perfect setting to both prepare for the wedding, and enjoy each others’ company before and after. Everyone enjoyed their stay!
Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood, easy access to town and other mountain locations such as Breckenridge, Lake Dillion and other water adventures! The management company addressed any of our concerns promptly and professionally and the Property Owner even reached out to us. Lots of good space in the house and the deck area. Really enjoyed our stay!
We had a group of 10 family and friends that stayed in the house for a ski trip to Keystone and Breckenridge. This house has a hot tub to soak in after a long day of skiing, a kitchen with everything you need to cook up meals, and large gathering areas so everyone can hang out. It was a fantastic experience!
This house was amazing for our ski trip. The owners were more than accommodating. Needed to get the garage code past 10pm and they answered promptly. Great rental with great service! Highly recommend.
The property was wonderful and everyone was very helpful and friendly
Our family would stay here again without a doubt!! If you had questions, they really tried to help! Our only problem was trying to get the wi-fi to work but to me that was a very small problem! Thank you for the wonderful experience

Beatiful and roomy.
Perfect for multiple families. Well laid out and thought out. Huge separate 'living areas' for the kids and adults, yet cozy enough for everyone.
Hot tub and sauna were first rate and worked perfect.
Lots of windows and sunshine thru-out.
We highly recommend it.

Thank you so much for your gracious comments. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come back and see us soon!
We loved the time we spent at Eagles Nest in Silverthorne. Our four daughters and their families joined my husband and I for our fifth summer weekend in the mountains. The house was perfect for five couples and five children (under 10 years old). Lots of room, fully equipped kitchen, large deck where everyone could congregate and play games and visit.
I would definitely recommend this home for a summer getaway.

Thank you so much, Linda! We thoroughly enjoyed hosting you & your awesome family, & are honored The Summit Lodge was included in this years' summer family tradition. We would love to have you again!
Property was the right size for our group of 10. The dry sauna was difficult to operate and therefor was used only once. The temperature in the house was too warm when the heat was on, better once the temperature settled and was not changed by us because the upstairs and downstairs varied so much. Great property, small kitchen for a big group and tight fit for everyone to watch the super bowl on Sunday.
The humidifier needs to be addressed. it was extremely dry in the house where some of us had bloody noses. Its just a minor filter change out. Also, the sauna was not accessible as there was over an inch of ice on the walkway to the sauna. this was pretty frustrating.
Cleanness could have been better. Couldnt use sauna due to cobwebs inside. A very disturbing neighbor lady watching us everytime we used the deck and hot tub. She seemed to be videoing or taking pictures of those using the hot tub. There is a phone in the home you must answer if there is noise complaints. You are not to use deck or hot tub between 10 pm and 8 am.
Property was in a great neighborhood. Issues we had upon arrival was:
1. Master Shower control knob was loose and would not control water temp. Fixed on Sunday of our stay.
2. Shower curtains in other 2 upstairs bathrooms stunk and were moldy. We reported this but no action was taken, so we bought 2 new shower curtains to replace them.
3. The bottom sheet on the bed in the master bedroom continued to come off the mattress. It interrupted our sleep on more than one occasion. This was not reported to the property mgmt people, but they should get a sheet that fits a king bed better.
Overall, we had fun with our family enjoying the Silverthorne area.
1. There was an issue with the Hot Tub, called (3) times and had to leave messages twice. The Hot Tub started working after its weekly service on Thursday, 5 days into our weekly rental. From our observation, the Hot Tub did not work initially because of a low water level. Never did get a response from the management company regarding repair or corrective action.
2. It would have been handy to have a garage door remote.
3. There are inconsistencies in the printed documentation and information provided in email regarding the unit
Overall it was a very good week with family coming from uK and Canada, as well as PA, CT, Ri, Utah and son in CO for his wedding celebration . Everyone loved the layout and space and interior decor.
A few points or suggestions- not criticism…..
Upon arriving at the house the code to enter would not work so we had to call to get a new code which worked. Management representative was polite and helpful.
The kitchen needs more essential items - pots, non stick pans, and better organization to accommodate the number of guests allowed. Maybe label the cabinets and drawers so guests can place items neatly and with organization. We bought a tea kettle and left it for the house. Plus a set of tongs.
We loved and used the large back deck for almost every meal. Plus the hot tub.
Future guests should be aware of the neighbor who sits on her deck watching and made a false report of noise which was offensive to me and my family who were very respectful of the rules and noise level and lights . I felt like a Field Marshal when 9.50pm everyone needed to be indoors and lights turned off because of the grumpy neighbor. Other neighbors were clearly enjoying outdoor entertainment beyond 10pm.
Overall our family had a wonderful week, exploring the area, hiking, fly fishing , floating and actually swimming nearby. North Pond Lake was perfect for those who didn’t want a strenuous hike and could enjoy a leisurely walk along the Blue River&Paddle boarding.
Farmers market fun
We stayed here for a hockey tournament in Breckenridge! 4 families stayed here - boys were older teenagers! Basement was a great spot for them to hang out! Hot tub was enjoyed by all. House was beautiful! I don’t think there was anything we wished they supplied. The owner was very responsive before the trip to help us decide what we may need to bring from our own homes.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! Would come back year after year!

About the host
Hosted by owner/property manager
We're Colorado Natives father & son (plus our lovely wives) duo that have been in the long-term rental business together for 10 years, and are excited to host great people in the short-term rental biz. We feel very fortunate we've worked hard to make this life-long Colorado dream of purchasing a family cabin up in the Rocky Mountains a reality.
Rob (father, left) grew up in the Cherry Creek area of Denver, followed by attending University of Northern Colorado for undergrad, & engineering at Colorado State University, where he met the love of his life, his wife of 37 years & counting, Cindy. Cindy, also an engineer turned high school math teacher, grew up outside of East Lansing, Michigan, before coming to Colorado for college. Rob & Cindy live down the mountain in Arvada, & are excited to enjoy The Summit Lodge (when they don't have bookings, of course!). They also have another son, Ryan (older bro, by 11 months) who lives in Austin, TX working and excelling at Xylynx. Rob's hobbies include: mountain biking, sailing, watching Broncos football & playing fantasy sports with his sons. Cindy's hobbies include: shelling in Florida, quilting, & golfing. Together they love to host & participate in their couple's Enneagram group, play card games with friends & travel to both new places as well as their annual family trips to Anna Maria Island, FL & Lake City, MI.
Matthew (son, right) grew up in Arvada & attended Colorado University Boulder for degrees in Business & Real Estate. He lives in Denver, working as a mortgage lender & business partners with his dad owning multiple long-term rental properties. Courtney, his soon-to-be wife, grew up in Northern CA & attending University of NV for Broadcasting. Matt's hobbies include sports (watching, attending, playing, you name it), training in MMA, playing the guitar, & hanging with their two dogs. Courtney's: yoga, reading & researching all things health & wellness, & obsessing over the dogs as well.
Why they chose this property
Our family has grown up coming to this area our whole lives, for all seasons vacations & activities. Sailing on Dillon Lake, Skiing Breckenridge & Keystone, & a very adventurous (and singular) father/son weekend trip of what turned into snow camping & Rob getting a great case of hypothermia post-digging out said snow cave. Why this trip only happened once, we may never know, but the dream to have a nice big warm cabin may have been born in the same frozen-filled breath on that trip. The goal of starting a mountain home for our family to enjoy, grow into, and provide memories for both ourselves and others is only a goal we're extremely grateful to have obtained. To own a beautiful slice of mountain paradise pie means the world to our entire family, we could not love our home more.
What makes this property unique
We chose our home (after Rob & Cindy toured handfuls of houses & researched handfuls of handfuls beyond that) for multiple reasons: we knew having a hot tub in the mountains, after a long day of skiing in the winter or biking/hiking in the summer was a necessity. The fact we have one in a gorgeous built-in deck surrounded by the sky and trees, is a supremely added bonus. Another added bonus: the huge (lay down) cedar sauna, located under the deck & right out of the walkout basement. The colossal vaulted ceilings, ornately rustic antler chandeliers, grand windows in all rooms giving those picturesque views all year long, & the overall cozy yet elegant yet dramatic features of the home had us sold in no time. We pictured our family and friends spending time up there so suitably well - with all the different types of bedrooms & beds, functional living, sleeping & entertaining spaces, and easy access to the house yet private cabin feel - we knew this was the house for us.
