"Banyan Beach" - Enjoy beautiful sunsets over the gulf from the spacious wrap around decks on both levels of this absolutely beautiful, newly renovated home on Cape San Blas.

This spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath home features gorgeous cathedral post and beam ceilings in living/dining room and master suite. Lovely flagstone fireplace and hardwood floors in living room. Sliding doors in living room open onto covered deck with plenty of seating. There is a double sofa sleeper in the living room. Leather sectional includes two recliners.

Kitchen, baths, hallway and laundry area have new tile floors. Kitchen has all new appliances and is generously stocked. Both main level bedrooms have queen-size beds along with twin rollaways. Beautiful master suite on upper level has king-size bed, with double sinks and closets in master bath. All bedrooms are equipped with new TVs with DVDs and remotes, clock/radios and a telephone, and have sliding glass doors onto the deck. There is also a ceramic-tiled laundry area on the second floor.

Just a little over 100 yards to the beach, this home has plenty of parking for boat or jet ski, and is a short distance to the state park’s public boat launch. Banyan Beach is professionally landscaped and has an outdoor hot and cold shower and charcoal parkside grill. Conveniently located close to grocery/sundry stores on the Cape but only 20 minutes from more shopping in Port St. Joe or 30 minutes from Appalachicola's restaurants and shops.

We just completed our stay, and I am not sure what the last guest was talking about. The house was clean and very comfortable. We did not see a single bug in the house the whole time we were there. Of course there are no-seeums, you're at the beach. If you keep the doors shut the way you're supposed to, they don't come inside. Access to a secluded scenic beach is just steps away. I would highly recommend the house and the area for families that don't want the hustle-bustle of a touristy area. It's peaceful, quiet, and as relaxing as can be. Exactly what I want in a beach vacation. Thanks for the great trip!

December at the Beach - Awesome!

Don't know where to start. The owner, Paul, is the best you'll ever deal with. Called or emailed me several times and even suggested great restaurants. Our group consisted of several couples in need of a last minute get-away! Even though we were a last minute reservation, Paul made the process smooth and easy. As for the house itself, it is perfectly done top to bottom. Exactly what you would expect in a beach house...spacious and comfortable. Perfect home base as you enjoy this beautiful beach area. The great kitchen is fully stocked with all the items you need. Bedrooms are all nicely decorated with very comfortable beds. The relaxing location let's you really unwind and you're only a short walk to the beach. The view is FANTASTIC! I Would recommend this place 10 out of 10. My whole group can't wait to stay again. We didn't want to leave!!! Thanks Paul!

Banyan Beach house was very comfortable and welcoming.

Banyan Beach house is a great place to stay for a few days on the Cape. We truly enjoyed the decks for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the PM. The kitchen was very well stocked for our big seafood dinner. We slept peacefully...the beds were very comfortable...loved the sheets and pillows...and the nice and plentiful white towels! We were a bit disappointed that the house was not closer to the beach, but it is a short walk away. The neighbors were quiet and friendly.

Paul was a very friendly and helpful host. We called him twice about WIFI and the TV, and both times he was immediately responsive and solved these minor issues with a smile. Paul seems to truly care about his guests' experiences! Thanks, Paul for the getaway we wanted. We will be back!

Relaxing

We have stayed here for several years. This home does not disappoint. Paul is amazing to book through and deal with. The home is well appointed and comfortable. There was plenty of room to stretch out and relax after spending a day on the beach relaxing. :) Since Paul does not live in the area, I did mention to him a couple of items that might need to be addressed in the future, but nothing was emergent or unsafe....it just comes with the territory of owning a rental property on the beach. He was very gracious with our recommendations.

I have to say I have never seen the water at the Cape more beautiful than the week we were down. It was crystal clear and beautiful. My only disappointment was the new souvenir shop that was built. We like to come to CSB for the lack of commercialism.

The Trading Post was awesome as usual and get in line early for donuts or croissants and the donut stand!

All in all, our vacation was perfect and we can't wait to go back.

Family Gathering Place by the Sea

Our whole family enjoyed a long weekend in Cape San Blas. The house is exactly as depicted. The master bedroom and bath was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen had every thing needed. The only reason not 5 stars was that it is not ocean front. A new house under construction blocks the view of the Gulf 😟򗰮 But from the upper deck still got amazing views of the sunset. We were a little concerned that because pets are allowed there might have been pet odors but I have to say that if I had not read that pets were allowed we would never have even guessed there had ever been animals in the house. A very good choice for our family. Just a short easy walk to the beach and only about a block from a Trading Post that stocks groceries, tackle, and liquor. I can see us coming back some day. Thank you for making your place available.

If they asked me, I wouldn't allow any new construction on the cape. But, I guess everyone wants to come and enjoy the area. The new house is located diagonally and about 100 feet from our property so it at least it doesn't block too much of the view. Thank you for staying with us and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay.

Great House Needs TLC

Upon arrival home looked great, good location. Entering home nice, but sandy in spots. Decks and railings need TLC, we had to keep our dog off the decks as they are very weathered and many spindles are missing, huge fear of injury. Inside was nice, sliding doors very hard to open and screens were not in great shape, could leave door open in master with ripped screen. No controls of Dish TV in master, dead batteries in remotes. The home was beautiful and had great location, just really needs a little TLC to be amazing.

Did not contact owner as we were only in for a few days to say good bye to our long time pup whom had passed, just to much of an emotionally packed weekend to call and complain.

We appreciate you allowing us to stay and hope you have long time success with your home.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review our home. Also, thank you for calling to my attention some items that need addressing. I was unaware that one of the screens had torn, or that some spindles had come loose. We do have 24/7 maintenance for the property and I could have had someone out there to address your concerns. I did have maintenance check the decks after your review and yes, they did find that 3 spindles out of 260 had come loose. I ask all my guest to contact me upon arrival in case a previous guest has caused damage and the cleaning crew did not catch it. Not sure why there was no remote in the master bedroom, but that too was easily remedied, as well as the remote batteries. Again, thank you for calling to my attention some items that were damaged and need addressing.
