Cozy Twin Lakes Cabin

Bedrooms 1
Space 800 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 6 nights

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Lovely lakeside cabin on the shores of Upper Twin Lakes. Weekly vacation rental. Sip your morning coffee while lounging in the lovely queen log bed situated in the main living area and take in the beautiful views of the lake, surrounding mountains and the wildlife.

This 800 sq. ft. cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed, a sleeping alcove with a twin trundle bed, & of course the queen log bed in the main living room -- the cabin sleeps six.

Large lawn, great porches - perfect for lakeside entertaining. Watch bald eagles and osprey soar over the lake hunting for their "dinner." Amazing bass fishing--bring your fishing or ski boat and tie up to our private dock. The lake is a great place to cool off in the summer, so bring lots of "floaty things" (kayaks, canoes, inflatable rafts).

Hiking, biking, swimming, boating, horseshoes, croquet, campfires--seems like you're at "camp" in the middle of nowhere, but you're only minutes from it all... Coeur d'Alene and Spokane are only 35 minutes away!

Perfect for a romantic getaway or great for a family! Friendly and considerate dogs welcome. We hope you will join us!

IRONMAN FAMILIES - consider this! Let your family enjoy the lake while you train nearby. It's an "affordable oasis"!

My husband, our faithful Golden Retriever Hercules, and I spent a blissful week in this cabin. There were so many moments when we had to just pinch ourselves - it was impossibly beautiful on the lake. Even though it was in the middle of summer, the neighboring cabins were only occupied some of the time, and the neighbors were friendly and quiet. The cabin is cozy and well-appointed, with a powerful fan to cool off the warm summer nights. My husband spent many lazy days napping and reading (and napping some more) in the hammock outside. he also spent every day doing a little fishing; either from the dock or from the various boats provided (kayaks, canoe, and row boat). The water in the lake was clear and cool, allowing all of us to swim any time of the day, and while occasional motor boats would pass by, this part of the lake is generally too small for water skiers and the like to invade. We whiled away our sunny days reading, fishing, boating, and napping. The surrounding area is forested and there were endless places for all of us to enjoy peaceful walks. For groceries, there is a nearby town with stores for anything you might need. We grilled dinner out on the lovely barbecue area, down by the water, and if it was too hot and sunny, we enjoyed spending time on the covered porch. Vickie is a generous host, greeting us with the ingredients for s'mores, and stocking the refrigerator with thoughtful things like condiments and creamer. The house was very clean when we arrived, so we did our best to leave it that way for the next guest. Our son was able to spend a day with us there and only left the lake for meals. We all agreed: BEST VACATION EVER. Vickie's cabin is a real treasure, and we appreciated our getaway. We can't wait to return next summer!

We had such a great time at this adorable cabin! It was stocked with everything we needed and more. The owners had water toys like a paddle boat, kayaks and paddle board for us to use. We can hardly wait to go back next year and make this an annual vacation.

Completly Relaxing

Myself, husband and blue heeler enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin has everything you need for settling in for your vacation time. The covered porch was a favorite place to hang out and get out of the sun for awhile. There is a hanging chair on the porch that actually put me to sleep on a couple of occasions. Also there is a hammock in the yard. Plenty of blue birds and we called it the evening dinner show when the squirrels would leap from tree to tree chasing each other around. Got to see some eagles and lots of hawks. If you want time in the water that couldn't be better either. Just a few steps from the back door down to the lake. There is a nice fire pit, lots of wood and a bbq down there. All of that is up off the sand on a wonderful little patio. There is a table down there as well. At the end of the dock there is a great seat with built in umbrella which I used most mornings to enjoy my coffee.

If you want to be more active there are several kayaks for use. We brought our own water toys so didn't partake. I paddle boarded and my husband jet skied everyday. We also took our small boat thru the channel into the lower lake. On that outing took lots of pics of the flowering lily pads and blue heron. The lake is the perfect size to play on without being so big it draws in the louder party boat crowd. If you are a runner go out the loop to the left and the pavement ends in about 1/4 turning into a gravel road which goes for miles and miles of pretty county scenery.

The grocery store is close. I used the Super 1 and just stocked up the first day so I never had to get in the car again for the week!

We hated to leave and will return again as its now on our favorites list!

Favorite place on earth!

We stayed in the cabin for a week this past summer and absolutely loved it. It felt like "home" instantly. Comfortably fit all 6 of us (2 adults and 4 kids), yet we loved the cozy feel. We swam, roasted s'mores around the campfire and took daily walks just enjoying the peace and quiet. Can't wait to come again!!!
