Mackinac Island Historic Cottage on Mackinac Island East Bluff
Beautiful home with exquisite view of harbor and lake with a 38-foot front porch. These historic and beautiful homes are rarely offered. Historic requirements mandate a MINIMUM TWO-WEEK rental and maximum of four weeks. Available July 26-August 4 and September 1-October 31 (Island should be less crowded in fall) You won't need to bring a thing except your clothes and toothbrush: updated kitchen has every appliance needed and there's a fleet of bicycles with carts. One queen bed, four doubles, three twins, sleeper sofa.
We've been coming to the island for years, but this was the first time we stayed in a cottage. Hands down best decision ever! I can't say enough about the property and the owner. Sue went out of her way to welcome us and meet our needs. The historic cottage took us back in time and was very spacious. Everyone had plenty of room and privacy but there also are excellent gathering spaces. Yoga in the backyard, drinks on the porch with breathtaking views, cards in the dining room, group breakfasts in the kitchen, and peaceful walks on the bluff. Love, love, love the cottage, location, and island. If you are thinking about it, don't think any more. This is a "must-do" trip.
