Enjoy this elegant and luxurious seventh story condo as your home on the beach. It’s right on the water’s edge in Maui's premier vacation area 'Kaanapali Beach.' Relax on your wrap-around lanai as you enjoy unobstructed views of the beach, ocean, neighboring islands, and the mountains. Slip on your sandals and step directly onto the beach for a quick dip in the warm ocean, or just lounge on your lanai and watch the beach and ocean, share a meal, or read a book. Gaze at beautiful sunsets and amazing sunrises-even dolphins and whales in season-right from your lanai while relaxing outside in gentle island breezes. Wake up to a view of the ocean from your bedroom and let the soothing sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep...

This deluxe condo was remodeled in 2008! The kitchen has been completely remodeled with granite countertops, updated appliances, wood cabinets, and newly refinished wood flooring. The king-size bed is a top-of-the-line Simmons Beautyrest. Two full-size marble bathrooms also have been remodeled with new mahogany cabinets and fixtures. This condo has a spacious floor plan and an OCEANFRONT ON THE BEACH, not just an ocean view.

The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach is an elegant guest condominium resort that offers many of the amenities of a luxury hotel. You can lounge around the pool or hot tub, which are kept in pristine condition. You can rent for a nominal fee wooden beach lounge chairs for two right on the beach. Large beach towels are provided right at the pool, where you can buy sunglasses and lotions. You can play tennis or work out in the exercise room and then relax in the sauna. Maybe you would rather have a massage or enjoy spa services, both offered at the spa located on the grounds of the Whaler. Also, there is a fully functional, state-of-the-art business center in the main lobby as well as free high speed internet access in Unit #751. Wireless internet is also available for free in all public areas. If you bring your laptop, you can store it in the room safe to which only you will have access.

If you feel like leaving your beach home, stroll along the beachfront walk and enjoy gourmet cuisine or a quick snack, or instead visit Whaler’s Village next door for world-class shopping. Scuba dive or snorkel in the Pacific right off your beach or from a catamaran; you can buy or rent snorkeling and diving gear at Maui Dive Shop right next door.

For golfers, you are across the street from two championship golf courses, Royal Kaanapali Golf Course North and South, one designed by award-winning architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Nearby are Kapalua Resort's two 18-hole championship golf courses-The Bay and The Plantation-recognized as #1 in Hawaii for Best Golf Resort by Travel and Leisure Golf Magazine. The Plantation Course frequently hosts the PGA Tour's season-opening Mercedes Benz Championship. For a treat, you can take the water taxi to Lanai and golf at the elegant Manelli Bay Hotel, where Bill Gates was married.

Our one-bedroom, two-bath condo is limited to two adults and two additional family members over the age of twelve. The condo is non-smoking, and we cannot allow pets (sorry). Check-in time is 4 PM (or earlier if ready) and check-out time is 11 AM.


All linens are provided. Cleaning prior to arrival and upon departure is included free of charge. Additional cleaning during your stay can be arranged for a nominal fee.


A 3-night deposit is due within 14 days of the Reservation Date; final payment is required 60 days prior to arrival, except for the Holiday Season when it is due by September 1st; if the reservation is booked after September 1, payment if full is required within 14 days of booking. For last-minute reservations (within 60 days of arrival), we require payment in full at the time of booking. Reservations are not confirmed until we receive the first payment (3-night deposit and $300 security deposit). Payments not received within the 14-day grace period will automatically be cancelled. We accept personal checks or credit cards.

Fabulous property. We have stayed here multiple times. From the lanai, we saw whales, dolphins and sea turtles. Absolutely love it here!

The Whaler and 751 are fantastic!

When I die I hope to have my ashes spread on West Maui! 751 is an amazing unit on the sunny, ocean front corner which overlooks the Whaler's Village mall and the beach. Renos to the Whaler seemed to be all done and it is as fine as ever. Only gripe I have, and it's a minor one, maybe it's time for a new fridge and bedspread cover? Bed was so comfy, had the best sleeps in years! I meant to check the mattress cause I'm going to buy one but was too rushed on leaving to look.

Picture Perfect

We have been traveling to Maui every other year since 2006. This is our 4th rental at the Whaler. This condo is the best yet. The owner was amazing to work with. The management company that he uses is also very pleasant. The condo view CANNOT be beat-it is a corner unit! We are a 50ish couple spending 2 weeks in Maui and this was our rental for the first week. Our second week was at the Westin Villas North. We preferred this Whaler condo for several reasons. First, 2 baths work very well for us-easier and quicker to get ready every day (I like a bath at night so bathtub a plus); second, close to Whaler village- we really enjoyed the music from the restaurant next door of the evenings and easy walk to shop; third, close to the golf course-we are golfers and golfed every day at either Kaanapali or Kapalua ; fourth-did I mention the view?--wonderful for champagne breakfast every day; fifth-not far from the grocery store; sixth-the beach is right below you-no maze to get direct from your condo to the beach-just get out there early and rent your cabanna for the day and sand is the best at the Whaler; seventh-well stocked kitchen - all the necessary small appliances, dishes and utensils and nice wine glasses; eighth-comfortable king size bed; ninth-everything worked; and finally tenth - check in/check out was pleasant and refund of security deposit from management company was timely. I am extremely detail oriented and this condo met my expectations. Sunsets are beautiful from the lanai. The 7th floor is high enough that people walking below in front of the Whaler do not bother you. There is not a washer/dryer in this unit and that would be the only thing I would add to it. I would definitely rent this until again if available. The photos listed are accurate and the property was clean and well maintained. Hula Grill is our favorite restaurant but also like Lelani's on the Beach and Maui Fish and Pasta all in Whaler Village; also this year ate at the Sea House at Napili and attended Slack Key Concert and recommend both-not for kids though. Thanks again for sharing your condo with us!

A Perfect Retreat

Overall, the condominium is amazing. The views are exceptional, the bed is very comfortable and the renovated kitchen has those non-slamming doors which I love. The Condo is just high enough that the palm trees to the South add ambiance instead of being a view obstruction like many of the Kaanapali Alii rooms. As it was the first week of June, the sun literally set in front of us. No looking to the left or right...smack dab in front. My only three minor minor gripes is that the sofa is not very comfortable and the cushions kept creeping forward as there's a convertible bed under there, the DSL wire is located on the far side of the sofa making it difficult to set up on the dining room table or desk (sadly I had some work to do) and the door is very very heavy and closes way to fast on you. (I spoke to the front desk about the door and they said they would look into it.) I would in NO WAY let any of those teeny tiny gripes deter you from renting this condo. Check in and checkout was a breeze. The music from the Hula Grill next door is great because you get Hawaiian Breezes and Hawaiian Live Music free from your balcony. We will probably plan a trip to the Whaler next year and the first VRBO request I will be making is to Condo #751. If you are still reading this and are still worried about this condo, stop reading and make a request for this room (unless I need to book on your dates.) I do not know the owners and am not paid by them. I just came back from ten glorious days with my wife and daughter and I just wanted to rave about this condo because I know the Whaler gets a lot of negative press from people who get rooms that haven’t been renovated since the 60’s. Thank you very much for a wonderful week and a half at your place.
