Our updated corner unit condo is located at The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach. Privately owned and rented, this 1 bedroom, 2 bath unit has an updated interior and a beautiful wrap-around lanai for additional space to relax and entertain.

This oceanfront resort includes a pool and hot tub, gym, tennis courts, spa, and concierge services for all local activities on the island. The Whaler Shopping Center is next door to the property and includes many shops, restaurants, galleries, and activities. Walk along the 2.5-mile oceanfront paved path after dinner which runs all along Kaanapali Beach, which has been named 'Best Beach in the USA' year after year by resort critics.

**Cancellation Policy** 100% Refund of all deposits for cancellations made as a result of a "travel ban" to Hawaii. Also, a full refund will be given for cancellations made at least 60 DAYS prior to arrival. If canceled within 60 days with no travel ban, then we will allow a full credit towards another booking. Travel insurance is always prudent. Your reservation will be confirmed once the reservation (rental) agreement and the deposit has been received and confirmed by the owner.

-Master Bedroom [king size bed], with en suite bathroom, TV, large closet, and access to the lanai.
- Combination living room/dining room with comfortable seating.
- Super comfortable full sectional sofa sleeper PLUS a foldout twin-XL Murphy bed.
- Updated kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need.
- Dining area with ocean and mountain views.
- Expansive, private lanai with outdoor seating with views of the ocean, Molokai, and the West Maui mountains.
- Beach lounge chairs and umbrellas are not included with this rental but are available on a first-come-first-serve basis from the activity center located by the pool. Complimentary towel exchange is available at the beach activity center and resort lobby.
-Free cable TV and high-speed Internet.
-Washer/ dryer located in the master suite closet.
-BBQ and picnic areas are oceanfront and on a first-come-first-serve basis.
-Whaler Concierge services can provide reservations for horse-back riding, whale watches, zip-lining, helicopter tours, scuba/SNUBA/snorkeling outings, and more.
-Kaanapali Golf Course (across the street) and Kapalua Championship Golf Course offer an additional local activity.
-We can provide our recommendations for local highlights based on over 30 years of trips to the island.

**Additional amenities, policies, and details**
- Resort fee of $35/nightly (**collected by the front desk**). The resort fee covers parking, full use of the pool, gym, and the tennis/pickleball courts, beach towel exchange, beach chairs, and a number of other amenities.
- To reserve, a 50% reservation deposit is required, the deposit is due 60 days prior to arrival.
- Additional cleanings can be requested per the guest's request. The cost will be added once the reservation & the total # of cleanings have been confirmed for the entirety of the stay.

Great stay in Kaanapali

Fantastic location. Communication with the owners were great. Beautiful large wrap around balcony. Right next door to Whaler's Village where there are many shops and restaurants. Beach is beautiful. Overall, a fantastic stay.

Amazing stay!

Condo was so clean and had absolutely everything we needed for a dream vacation. All the beds were so comfortable and the wrap around lanai is the best! We had a great time watching our kids play tennis from the balcony and watching the activity at black rock. We loved everything about it!

Amazing Hawaiian Vacation

We loved Unit 824! Great location, lovely views and well maintained. We loved the mattress in the Master bedroom, we slept solid each night! We will be back for sure and would love to stay in your lovely vacation home again.

Not only is the location ideal, the property had tons of perks. The kitchen has great gadgets for all your cooking needs and you need only step outside to the beach and Whalers village for shopping. I would give it 6 stars if i could.

Excellent condo in an excellent location

Our condo was spacious and comfortable for us. It was fully furnished in quality matching decor. The veranda was huge and let us have views of both the ocean and the golf course and hillside. We used the kitchen to make several breakfasts and lunches, and the whaler barbecues made for an excellent steak night.. the resort itself is in a prime location right beside whalers village shopping centre which is the main gathering spot for all the resorts in the area.. the pool and hot tub was always welcome and towels and beach chairs were always available. Our unit also had beach chairs and umbrellas. The beachfront at the whaler was excellent for swimming and whale watching and is in pristine condition. We met many people from all over staying at the whaler and they were all repeat visitors. If we have the chance so will we.

Wonderful condo with all the amenities

This condo is wonderful with everything you could need for a great stay including a kitchen stocked with cooking gear, great views from either lanai, comfortable beds and your own washer and dryer. The host was communicative and helpful through any questions or needs that I had. The only drawback for my family was the lack of the large sectional couch that was pictured in the photos - there is now a 3 person couch and 2 side chairs instead. Because one of my family members has to sleep sitting up and the whole couch pulled out into a bed instead of part of it, it just made sleeping arrangements a little awkward. Probably not a deal breaker for most people! If you are thinking about booking this condo, don't hesitate, it's wonderful!

Beautiful condo with gorgeous views!!!!

What a fantastic time my family and I had at Maui. The condo was just as listed and had gorgeous views of ocean and mountains. Accommodations were great and had plenty of space for family and we enjoyed having the pool, beach and also the games of Yahtzee and Phase 10 to play in the evenings. Kitchen was well equipped and it was great having a washer and dryer, so no dirty laundry when I got home. Also within walking distance to many excellent restaurants and The Whaler Village. Thanks also for the great communication with the owners, they were wonderful to deal with and responded back ever time very quickly when I had a question. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! Will be back!!! Thanks so much for making our family vacation memorable!!

Amazing view, lots of room to sleep for 4 adults

I have stayed at the Aston at Whalers several times now, and always love the place. This room was different from the others I've stayed in, with extra sleeping room (a murphy besides the pullout couch) and a wrap-around patio. It was perfect for our group (4 adult women), and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Only issue (minor) was some plumbing work that needed to be done, but it definitely didn't hinder anything. Also note to run the hot water a while in the shower before using - takes a bit to heat up. Again, no big deal. Oh, one last bonus - W/D in unit. This is the first unit we've stayed in at Whalers that had a W/D in the unit, and it was soooooo helpful!

Location is Perfect

This is an outstanding property. A 2 minute walk to the beach. Location really couldn’t be better. And it is quiet. We heard nothing from anyone on our floor. Lani was huge. We ate several meals out there, overlooking the ocean. Bedroom was comfortable. Wife and daughter slept on the pull out and it was fine. 2 bedrooms would be better, but I knew what I was getting into. I would do it again. The pictures showed an “L” couch, but it was no where to be seen, maybe just changed furniture - we would have liked that. Washer dryer combo was nice to have, kitchen had everything! Shower tubs were a little tall to step into - doable, we just weren’t used to it. These guys have an awesome property set up just how you need it. You will not be disappointed in this base of operations. We would certainly stay again!

Yearly visit to the Whaler

Overall, we had a nice vacation. We ran into a few hiccups during our stay. The property manager let us know that there was an existing issue with the unit that needed fixing. They were still there when we arrived so we waited outside until they finished. You didn’t get the feeling like the unit was super clean like you normally would, only because they’d had people in there working and rushed to get out. We were also asked when we wanted the condo cleaned mid stay and the day we requested got mixed up so we had to rearrange our plans and the weather was very windy so we decided to head over to Lahaina to kill time. My only complaint regarding the unit was that a portion of the patio was very clean but the side by the bedroom door was pretty dirty. The master bathroom shower got stinky very quickly, I think the liner needs replacing as it was mildewy. We did our best to hang it in such a way so that it could dry completely. This is a windy unit. The outdoor furniture would blow around in the night and the day, clanking into the railing. It can be loud, just an fyi. I appreciated the new slider screen doors, although we would have benefited from there being a screen on the door by the dining area so we could open it for air flow. We like having the doors open, but it can be warm. There is also air conditioning which is lovely at night. We loved having the Murphy bed and pull out sofa option, super convenient. It’s a nice unit, great for a family.

The unit is well appointed and the complex is in the center of Kaanapali. Working with the owners was a breeze. It was a joy having coffee on the lanai every morning listening to the bird's morning song. I loved to converted pickleball courts and was able to pick up a game a couple times.I plan to return to this unit the next time I visit Maui.

Great condo

We had a wonderful week here! The condo is even better than the photos with lots of space and great views. It’s on the quiet corner of the building just high enough to have a view over neighbouring buildings. The pool gets quite busy so we always swam in the fun ocean waves. We were very sad to leave and hope to return one day soon.

Great Property

We have been going to Maui for over 20 years. We love staying in Kaanapali! This property at the Whaler is in the best location on the beach. We stayed with our adult children. The condo was clean, well stocked and comfortable. My kids slept in the pullout bed / Murphy bed and said they were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect family location

I’ve visited Maui over a handful of times and this VRBO was by the far the best experience I’ve had yet. Perfect location for families with young children to walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping without loading up car seats. Gorgeous view of the sunrise every morning! The owners, front desk, and towel kiosk were all prompt answering any questions with genuine kindness. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our memories 100% better!

Amazing view w double wrap balcony!

Easy check in, Valet and check in desk were very friendly and helpful. The unit is lovely, clean, organized w hubby chef stocked w all types of quality knives, utensils, plates, wine glasses etc. 2 full bathrooms are a plus, and separate bedroom w thick walls when one watches TV late and I want to sleep. Comfortable mid century style seating in living room and dining table and chairs. Newer Bed is comfy and very soft sheets and nice pillows. The wrap around balcony w 2 sides is awesome, one side overlooks the beautiful mountains hills and other side the view of ocean and black rock! A must: From balcony…Make sure to watch divers jump from black rock at early evening w a cocktail in hand. Feel the trade-winds from either side of tge balcony keeping unit cool and palm trees swaying in the breeze from balcony. It was nice to have the boogie board and chairs avail for beach since they are expensive to rent! Washer and dryer in unit was great being able to go home w clean laundry! Its smack in the middle of walking path so walk to one end and other end… a secret walking path going past black rock to the quieter North side..and keep walking on that path along north shore hotels to Dukes restaurant. We Uber back after cocktails! Lol Hosts are super fast responsive and helpful. What else can I say.. just book it!

Unit 824 is amazing

We rented unit 824 for 2 weeks (Sep 24 - Oct 8) and we were thoroughly pleased with the quality and furnishing of the condo. The bedroom is spacious, the closet space and clothes dresser is adequate. The king bed is very comfortable, not too firm and not too soft. Bathroom is generously sized, although I would have preferred a walking-in shower as the tub wall is quite high. The living room is comfy and inviting with a large flat screen smart tv, great couch and chairs. The dinning table is large enough for 6. The kitchen is nicely appointed with enough flatware, plates, bowls, cups and cookware to meet most of your culinary needs. I must say the blender served us well. The lanai is amazing and provides two great views; one of the Maui mountains and the other view of the ocean, Black Rock and Molokai. The table and chairs on the lanai are adequate. We enjoyed our morning coffee and eats almost every day on the lanai and cocktails every evening. We really enjoyed the space quite a bit. We are the type of people who spend the majority of our time actively exploring but while in the abode, we did make ourselves comfortable. This condo is a 5 out of 5 and we will be happy to rent this unit again.

AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING!

The condo was even more beautiful in person! The owners always responded very quickly to any questions I had and they provided everything you could want in a home away from home. They had extra linens for the sofa bed, great washer & dryer in the unit, spectacular views of the ocean and a perfect location. This unit is perfect for families, it was my husband and daughter and I. There are 2 FULL bathrooms! Our daughter had her own bathroom and slept on the super comfy pull out couch in the living room and we had the fabulous bedroom. I want to come back and stay all the time and I would highly recommend anyone to come and stay here. It was perfect! I should also mention its incredibly quiet and the grounds are just beautiful. Thank you again!

Why they chose this property

The Whaler has always been where we return to when we come to the island. Nowhere else has provided us with same combination of comfort and amenities and opportunities. After 30 years, coming back to Kaanapali never gets old. We love to relax on the beach with our kids and spouses year after year. After being guests at the Whaler for many years, we have become fortunate enough to have our own unit. We hope to spread appreciation for this amazing place we have come to love.
