Stay at our Alyeska home away from home!

Alyeska Vacation Home is nestled at the foot of Mount Alyeska in the quaint ski-town of Girdwood; a prime area for skiing, snowboarding, biking, and year round hiking. The local trails are lush boreal rainforests and stunning year-round. Other neighborhood attractions include helicopter tours, heli-skiing, tram rides. Bike, ski, and snowboard rentals are available at the nearby ski resort.

Walk out your front door on our quiet street to many attractions. Find fine dining, family dining, galleries, and live music venues just a few blocks away.

We are located 45 minutes South of Anchorage International Airport. The drive itself from Anchorage to Girdwood is considered one of the most beautiful drives in the United States; with Beluga Whale spottings, Dall Sheep viewing, mountain ranges, boar tide exchanges on the inlet, and incredible ice formations in winter. World-class fishing and whale watching tours are just 45 minutes drive South in charming Seward, AK.

You can find true adventure here, or just relax by the fireplace and enjoy the mountain views.

Know you can feel at home here with all that you expect in a rental home. If you would like, we will assist you with sightseeing recommendations and local trail maps.

We have two well appointed units available throughout the calendar year, which may be rented as separate units or combined for larger parties. Units are fully furnished and outfitted.

This spacious upstairs unit has comfortable contemporary seating with a large screen tv, dining area, a kitchen with supplies, master bedroom suite, second bedroom with two full size beds, and bath with jetted tub and separate shower.

Our upstairs unit has a sauna, as well as a deck for grilling and entertaining.

Each floor sleeps 6 comfortably. We provide additional floor mats for convenience.

The Girdwood area is a great base for exploring the upper area of the Kenai Peninsula. The house was plenty big for our family of 4 and had all the necessities to make our stay comfortable.

Great stay!

This was a nice and comfortable place to relax in. It was very clean. It has a great kitchen with all you need to cook a meal. The sauna was an amazing perk. This was a great place to be able to play games at the big dining table with the kids as well as spacious enough so we could spread out to read and relax. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent again.

Plenty of room for a family; could use some TLC

Nice updated interior! Our teenage boys loved the space- plenty of room to spread out and play the provided games. Nice close drive/walk to the Brewery. The jacuzzi was broken, the outside deck was unstable and the railings a major hazard…just needs a little TLC to get the outside to match the nice inside.

Celebration

Heidy was very easy to work with. The Sauna was very cool or I should say hot🤗 The place was extremely clean and comfortable. Never have we stayed where the kitchen was so well stocked. We were there for a celebration of life at the resort but wanted to be close to our friends place that is just around the corner. I would suggest this place to anyone and will definitely do that.

Close Enough

Great unit to rent out for an Alyeska ski trip. Very spacious with artic entry downstairs that's perfect for gear. It's downhill from the resort so it's an easy ski back fom chair 4. The sauna is a great way to relax after a day of shredding it on the slopes

Great ski getaway!

We loved our time at this VRBO, the space was perfect for our family of 4, including two teen boys. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room and sauna were great places for us all to relax after skiing. The boys appreciated easy access to Wii Sports for down time. The listing was not super clear that this is an upstairs unit of a duplex, I think this is important for people with mobility issues to know, and maybe I just missed that info somewhere. There were guests in the unit below us but we never heard them or had any concerns. The front door lock was the only concern on this stay, it just took a bit to get it to work. Overall this was absolutely a 5 star stay!

Lovely comfortable place

It is a fantastic stay in the cozy house. There is a little heck up when checking in the first day on how to open the door. It is actually the upper knob instead of lower handle to open the lock. After we figured that out, everything is good surprise for our family. We enjoyed the nice location to surrounding scenery spots, and local good food and amenities. Neighbors are friendly too. Wish next time we come it will be still available. Thank you Heidi!

The duplex was clean. However, furnishings were sparse, unorganized and several important appliances were broken: jacuzzi and dishwasher to name a few. The missing closet doors did not enhance our stay. Work to be done here.

The owner was extremely flexible regarding the reservation. Very easy to work with. The house is very close to Alyeska which was why we chose this house. We felt comfortable allowing our kids to walk to and from the slopes. Kitchen was well-equipped for dining in. I initially thought they had a washer and no dryer. Took me a minute to realize the washer and dryer was the same appliance. Beds were comfortable with warm bedding. Thank you for a great trip.

Terrible experience! Great Girdwood location and beds were very comfortable. However, the unit did not match what was advertised online. The upper level deck was extremely unsafe! It was missing an entire length of the railing and just roped off with yellow rope. The inside door leading to deck would not lock. Very unsafe, especially if children were staying there. There was a big plastic tarp hanging from the roof, suggesting there was some kind of problem. The tub in the bathroom was missing the front wooden panel and had blue tape on it indicating it was not to be used. The kitchen floor had not been cleaned - even had uncooked pieces of spaghetti on it. Nightstands in bedrooms were very dusty. There was a very strong odor in the unit that smelled like pet urine. We feel we should have received some type of prior notice of the poor condition of the unit.

The views of the mountain are stunning, and the location is super. You can walk to the resort Base Lodge within a few minutes. The entrance is set up for you to hang your gear and equipment. The bathroom has a sauna and jetted tub, and the deck has a grill and space for outside dining.
