SUMMER SEASON-
For summer time events & activities the Hightower Suite is in the best spot! The best restaurants, bars, grocery store, coffee shop, hiking trailheads, Community Park & Forest Fair grounds are all situated within a 6 min walking distance of this award winning property.

THE PROPERTY-
This condo boasts a full kitchen with a dishwasher, free WiFi, a gas fireplace, flatscreen cable TV with a DVD player, and a 3rd floor balcony. The condo is elevator accessible and garage parking keeps you out of the rain and snow.

This well-appointed unit is your home away from home. Comfortably sleeping up to 6 people. Both bedrooms are furnished with a queen size bed, dresser and closet with private access to their own full bathrooms. The Master bedroom has a private bathroom with dual “his and hers” sinks and full size walk in closet. There is additional sleeping arrangements on the pullout couch in the living room that offers a full size mattress.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need while you are away from home. Cook a delicious meal and enjoy in the dining area with seating for six. Enjoy an early morning cup of coffee on the balcony table with the beautiful mountain views in the background.

Are you driving to Girdwood? We got you covered there to. The heated garage is a huge plus, especially during the winter months where it has been known to snow up to 40 inches over night!

Year-round there is always something fun going on in Girdwood. With abundant hiking and biking trails or the numerous festivals and events like – Forrest Fair, Slushcup, Oktoberfest, the Blueberry Festival or the Frostbite Festival (and many more) Girdwood has something for everyone. The Community Park (6 min walk from condo) includes tennis courts, kid’s playground, skate park, baseball field, Frisbee golf course, and hosts the annual Forest Fair and Fungus Fair. Want to enjoy a great meal or have some drinks with friends – Chair 5, Oso Loco, and The Silvertip Grill are only a quick five-minute walk away. I grew up in Alaska, my wife is from Berlin. We share a passion for skiing, snowboarding hiking fresh air and the outdoors. I moved to Girdwood in 2007 and have enjoyed the fun ski town vibe that Girdwood offers.

Why they chose this property

I am the original owner of this condo. It was purchased brand new. This condo has been our home until we converted it into a vacation rental. I chose Girwood/Alyeska because it is one of the major ski/snowboard destinations in North America. Known for steep slopes, 650 inches of snow on average (978" in 2011-2012) and access to some amazing backcountry in the Chugiak range.

What makes this property unique

Great central location in the Girdwood town square. 3 minute drive to the Alyeska Ski Resort. Plush towels, heated garage, mountain views, quiet neighbors, immaculately clean, fresh air, Alaskan wildlife.
