Watch the Coosawatee River roll by at this three-bedroom Ellijay home, a riverfront log lodge with a private hot tub, an expansive wrap-around deck that overlooks the river, and dog-friendly accommodations for hikers, boating enthusiasts, and those in search of quiet country beauty.
You'll find this multi-level home on the western banks of the Coosawatee River, seven miles southwest of downtown Ellijay. Time your visit for autumn to attend the annual Georgia Apple Festival, rent a pontoon boat or bring your own watercraft to the Carters Lake Marina 17 miles southwest, or spend an afternoon admiring the cascades in Amicalola Falls State Park 27 miles southeast.
The living space is full of North Georgia charm, thanks to natural wood walls and a wood-burning fireplace with a floor-to-ceiling stone facade. Before you lace up your hiking boots each morning, you can whip up pancakes and apple butter in the open kitchen (with a dishwasher), grab a warm pair of socks from the washer/dryer, and use the free WiFi to double-check the trail maps.
Come home from a memorable afternoon to kick back with a cold drink on the deck, listen the river rush by, and prepare the charcoal grill for an afternoon barbecue with friends. Gather around the firepit with your dog curled up at your feet (please note that a nightly pet fee applies), soak your sore hiking legs in the private hot tub, and retire to the sofa each evening for a movie night on the DVD player and one of the four cable TVs.
Experience the undeniable allure of the hills of North Georgia - book your escape to Ellijay today!

Peaceful and relaxing
We loved the house so much! It was perfect for our fly fishing get away! The only downer was that there are no trout in the river right in front of the house.
Fantastic cabin on the river!
The cabin was great! Loved the fireplace, bbq, and hot tub, as well as both decks. Although the tub started loosing heat the last 2 days. Not sure if the filter was plugged or the temperatures outside were too cold. The furniture was comfortable, especially the king bed in the loft. The gurgling of the river was very soothing. We appreciated the amount of dishes available, we could actually fill up the dishwasher before running it! The only downside to our whole week was the fact that the gps didn’t recognize the area, and with all the winding roads it was easy to get lost. Also, Vacasa didn’t provide an access code for the gate, so we had to wait in line and had to explain our rental agreement each time we came through the gate, a bit inconvenient. Other than that, we really enjoyed all our contacts with Vacasa, and will use their services again! Overall we really enjoyed the area and the relaxation! Would definitely return to the area and the cabin!
Great Riverfront Cabin!
Family getaway from the hustle of everyday life. Cabin was clean, had comfortable beds, and was well stocked with some forgotten necessities. Hot tub was large and would seat at least 6 people. The grill is charcoal.... that was an item we had forgotten and had to go out for. The leasing company provides clean towels and bathroom toiletries, which was nice. Kids enjoyed fishing and walking. Note..... The cell phone service is non-existent (AT&T) with the exception of one small spot on the deck outside of master bedroom. We didn't really mind after the initial shock. Wifi is excellent, so you could use wifi calling. Overall it was a great experience! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to living room seating. Couch and chair only seat 4, the rest of the family had to sit on the floor or at the kitchen table. Not a huge deal but cabin states to accommodate 7. Should you need anything, maintenance man is super nice.
