Rustic cabin living with a million dollar view.
People on the island are the best! Very friendly and welcoming. As an older cabin, the water was not what a suburbanite is used to drinking. Since there is no store on the island and we didn’t think to bring water, the Legion Post on the island gave us 6 bottles of water and would not let us pay. The 1961 stove still worked, the cabin had air conditioning, towels, bedsheets a pullout couch and roll away single bed. The two air conditioners were able to cool down the entire cabin and porch. Wonderful islanders, very relaxing, old school cabin. Stacey was a great host!
Directions after ferry could have been better. No island stores or food good to know.
We had a blast. Hated to leave.
We had a awesome time. My grandparents had a place on the island when I was a kid. It is still in the family and we got to spend time with them also. The cottage was perfect for a get away. Only a few miles from Niles. I didn’t realize it has AC. We needed it since it was really hot. It was on for our arrival. The cottage was perfect for our family. We will be back. Thanks Stacey!!!
Great location, fun little cottage, terrific view.
It would have been nice if dish soap, bath soap, toilet paper and a bit of coffee were provided considering once on the island, you have to take the barge back to buy anything. Overall, it's a nice place to stay for a long weekend. It's straight across from Park Shore Marina which was convenient when we rented a boat for day, easy to drop off, pick up people and supplies. Very clean but small beds. We'd probably rent it again now that we know what to be prepared for. Also, the barge was easy to get and forth on, no long waits for the 2 cars we had.
