We booked this cabin based on its cleanliness ratings, pool, and spacious layout, but our experience was very disappointing. We traveled with three kids and a 10-month-old, and within minutes of arriving, our baby’s feet and legs were almost black from the dirty floors. Although someone was eventually sent to clean, they arrived an hour later than promised and used a Bissell cleaning solution in a steam mop instead of water, creating a strong chemical smell that forced us outside.The cabin’s layout is great and the views are beautiful, but even that was marred by trash scattered down the mountain below the property that has clearly not been cleaned up.Inside, the furnishings and amenities did not match what was advertised. The living room furniture was not as pictured, with only four seats total. The mattresses were extremely worn and uncomfortable, the pillows appeared dirty, and the duvets had no covers, which is unsanitary. The top bunks had no ladders, making them unsafe for children. The couch was heavily worn with a broken zipper exposing the stuffing. The kitchen ice maker didn’t work, and both decks were covered in debris and hadn’t been cleaned.The pool pump and waterfall weren’t functioning properly, and the pool temperature reached 96F, making it unusable. The downstairs bathroom smelled strongly of mold, and the game area was disappointing — most games were outdated and the pool sticks were warped and unusable.

Kids loved it. The bottom floor was like their own place. Great location convenient to everything. There are a few things we did have issues with but nothing egregious or anything we wanted to make a stink of for only a three night stay; no hot water to the third bedroom (Queen bunk room), very sparse on kitchen items if you cook at all, living room furniture NOT as pictured / very little seating for adults in main living space, only two back porch rockers. We ended up moving front porch rockers to the back, and a bean bag upstairs for more seating. No ladders for bunks…littles can’t get up and down so we couldn’t utilize all the beds.

When we arrived the cleaning staff were still in the cabin. By the time they finished I still had not received the passcode to enter. At first glance the cabin appeared to be ok. The rooms were nice but could have been cleaned better. The hot tub was dirty and we were not able to use it. The pool was freezing but the girls swam in it anyway and they all got colds. The water in the kitchen never got hot enough to wash dishes so we had to boil it. All of the pool sticks were worn on the tip making it difficult to shoot. The tv in the theater room would not stay connected to the internet. I really liked the layout of the cabin but I for all intense purposes it fell way below my standards. I feel as though I did not get what I paid for Three stars is really too generous of a rating.

Great cabin for the whole family

This cabin was just as advertised, was clean and comfortable for our large family of 11. The kids could all play downstairs while the adults were upstairs. The pool downsatirs was just large enough for all the kids to play in without being on top of each other, and the community pool was large enough to accommodate everyone with ample room. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Everyone had a blast

My family and I came here to relax and get away. We didn’t need to see all the local attractions, but 18-20 year olds can’t be kept in-house. We ventured out a few times and we’re not disappointed. Pool, hot tub, and overall decor were exceptional.

Nice cabin excellent communication

The cabin has everything you need and is very clean. There were a couple of things that needed attention but was taken care of immediately by a great repair ent that seemed to be able to do anything. Cleaning supervisor very accommodating and did a thorough check of property. Will rent again.

Beautiful Cabin! Beautiful views!

Overall was a really great stay!! Beautiful cabin and views! The pool was awesome and we all enjoyed that and the hot tub and pool table and games downstairs. Great location for quiet, yet still close enough to all of the attractions! Definitely kid friendly! Management was quick to answer any and all questions.

Disgustingly Dirty

The looks of the inside are nice, however the sheets were filthy the Hot tub was dirty and the Towels had black writing on them. Now they did come back the day after check in to clean the Hot tub and change the sheets, but this all should've been taken care of before I arrived. The Pool, which is the sole reason I rented this cabin, was not working the pump wasn't running and the temp was 68 degrees. Stay Minty only gave us a small refund and a voucher for use on my next stay, which I will never stay with this company again. I strongly recommend never using Stay Minty for your vacation rentals. I have picture of all the items listed.

Zip & Dip Vacation

Overall a good place to vacation with family. Fun basement with video games, pool table, hot tub, theater room and indoor pool. Just a few problems with less than clean floors and shower curtains. Kitchen lacked some utensils. However, Stay Minty staff were GREAT! Lots of room for families of 8-12. Great week in the Smoky Mountains.
