About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Fully Licensed by the City of Austin

License Number OL 2013 080579

Located in the heart of South Austin just 2 miles south of Lady Bird Lake, this quiet, comfortable, immaculately clean, fully furnished condo is a lovely place to stay for a few nights, a week, a month, or longer. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home, is located off of South Lamar just minutes from downtown, South Congress and many other Austin hot spots. Convenient, but outside of the hustle and bustle – it is the perfect hideaway. The front door opens to a shared common area with a swimming pool shaded by several magnificent pecan trees. There is a small, private backyard and patio. We are a close, friendly community, ready to welcome you.

We hope you sleep well while you are here. We recently upgraded our beds. Upstairs you will find a King Shadowrock Serta Luxury Firm Mattress and downstairs a Queen Kennington Serta Med Firm Mattress. The condo is an ideal place for two couples to stay with one bedroom and full bathroom upstairs and one bedroom and full bathroom downstairs.

The open layout downstairs allows you and yours to cook, dine, and lounge in a relaxed atmosphere. Complete with a fireplace, skylight, and soaring ceilings, you can surely enjoy your time “around the house.” Kick back and relax on the leather couch while you watch something on the big screen TV. Or soak in a little sun outside under the towering pecan trees. Dip your toes in the pool or relax in the back in private.

Austin is an amazing city and we hope that you enjoy your time here. The condo is a great place to sit back and relax (we’ve been told it feels like home). But if you are here to go, do, and see it is an awesome, convenient location from which to start your adventure. Located just a block and a half off of South Lamar, you an easily hop on the bus or jump into infamous Austin traffic. You will find this location is ideal.

great location

  • 4 of 5

Our family enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and well furnished. The owner put lots of little extras in the unit, even adding a tasteful amount of holiday decorations for our Christmas stay. The unit is on a quiet street but still close to downtown and SoCo.

Great location, very comfortable, great Wifi, wonderful host

  • 5 of 5

My wife and another couple stayed in the condo to see Austin together, and we loved it. Our host provided all the information anyone would need to enjoy their stay, and she was quite considerate when I needed some extra supplies because I was recovered from a cold. This was the first vacation our party had taken as a foursome since before we had kids, and this was a perfect basecamp. Threee of us walked along a lake on a beautiful day. Great foods included a pork taco at a nearby hole-in-the-wall Mexican place, a brisket and egg breakfast tacos a short walk from the condo, French contemporary at Justine’s , German lunches (in Fredericksberg and in downtown near the Capitol), and great restaurants on Lamar. We loved walking on South Congress. We tasted wines at a tasting room outside Fredericksburg. We took a tour of the Capitol. Wifi was strong, which was much appreciated due to work demands. I took a dip in the pool. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Austin.

Excellent location - Very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This two bedroom was very comfortable. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

The location on South Lamar was also within close proximity to many restaurants and bars and a quick drive to other downtown locations.

Great Housing Option for our Interns!

  • 5 of 5

We housed our two company summer interns at Stephanie's home for June and July, and they loved the place. Nice and quiet area, but close enough to great Austin spots on Lamar and easy access to both downtown and highways to get to work. Stephanie was very hospitable and checked in now and again to see how the interns were doing and if they needed anything. The interns loved the up/downstairs set up so they could both have their private space as well as common areas, and enjoyed the community pool and their private patio space. We will definitely consider this location for next year's intern housing!

Great place to stay in Austin

  • 5 of 5

The condo was wonderful. It was clean and nicely stocked. It is perfectly located, everywhere we wanted to go was within 15 minutes. Our 5 and 6 year olds loved the pool. The wifi was great, it even worked by the pool.

Car: recommended

There is no way we could capture in words all that Austin has to offer, but we wanted to point out a few of the highlights nearby.

Some of you may be familiar with the amazing food trucks found around Austin. A number have found such incredible success that they have opened brick-and-mortar locations (in our neighborhood!). Don’t miss out on Chef Bryce Gilmore’s restaurant, Odd Duck. His farm-to-table restaurants highlight the delicious, locally sourced ingredients of Central Texas. The newest location of East Side King from Top Chef Paul Qui (an alum of Uchi and the executive chef at Uchiko) is within walking distance. Relaxed, colorful and fun, East Side King brings a fun twist on Asian street food to your taste buds. And let’s not forget Gourdoughs. The food trailer Gourdoughs Speciality Doughnuts can be found on South 1st Street, but the brick-and-mortar location Gourdough’s Public House is minutes away from us on South Lamar. If you are one for donuts, you certainly don’t want to skip this one – imagine donut sandwiches, donut burgers and donut entrees – it is donut heaven.

Speaking of food trailers, around the corner (at Bluebonnet and Lamar) you will find a food trailer park with the likes of Austin Frigid Frog Shaved Ice, Fry Baby, Taco Baby and Waffle Baby. The list of vendors dishing up lunch or dinner changes pretty regularly. We encourage you to check it out for yourself. Oh and don’t forget, on Sundays from 11:00am to 3:00pm the space also hosts a Farmer’s Market. It is a great way to great fresh produce and locally made products!

Not all of the tasty treats in the area started in trailers. We have some of the best Tex-Mex/Mexican offerings in the city – Matt’s El Rancho (a classic), El Sezon, La Ferria, Maria’s Taco Express, El Meson, Chuy’s, Papalote Taco House, and Torchy’s Tacos.

There are so many amazing restaurants (and coffee shops and ice cream parlors and bakeries).

There seems to have been an explosion of Bars nearby. Decked out in black ‘Home of Mustache Mondays’, The Gibson prides itself on its substantial list of craft beers and delicious cocktails. The newly opened Corner Bar is small but bursting with energy. Family owned and operated, Opa! offers everything from lattes to spanakopita to wine. Curl up in one of their cozy nooks inside, or relax outside under their large and beautiful oak tree. With live music, delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and awesome happy hour specials (and games including ping pong table) – they have something for everyone. For nearly 25 years the Saxon Pub has offered up amazing live music in an intimate atmosphere. If you can see a show here – do it. You won’t believe how close you are to the musicians. One-2-One Bar started downtown, but as they grew moved south (yay!). They offer great Live Music. Reds Porch has an amazing patio, tasty comfort food, and a great vibe. If you can beat the crowd and grab a spot upstairs it you just might see a spectacular sunset. New on the seen, Barlata Tapas Bar brings a taste of Spain to South Lamar. Don’t miss out on this hip bar’s tasty morsels. And final don’t forget the Broken Spoke Saloon. While the space around it has undergone a drastic metamorphosis in recent years, this old school Texas Honky Tonk is a one of a kind dance hall. If you are new to 2 stepping, fear not, they have lessons!

Need a little adventure to work off all that delicious food? Lady Bird Lake is only a hop, skip and a jump away. Jump on the bus or in your car and in minutes you can be on the hike and bike trail or out on the water in a kayaking or canoe - or for the fearless amongst us, on a Stand up Paddle Board. Nearby you can also putt-putt golf, the amazing one-of-a-kind Barton Springs pool and Zilker Park. If you are one for hiking the Barton Greek Greenbelt is an urban oasis. There are many access points to the Greenbelt and you can find maps online or for sale around town. In the summer there are tons of other city pools and fountains to splash around in to stay cool.

The Long Center for the Performing Arts is our beautiful live entertainment venue showcasing artists from Austin and beyond. You can find anything from Shakespeare to Improv, inspired speakers to children’s theater, comedians to opera, musicals to ballet, modern dance or even home grown country music. You never know what you might find at the Long Center. Be sure to check out their calendar of events.

Zach Theater, located on the banks of Lady Bird Lake, is our homegrown professional theater company. In 2013 they opened the beautiful Topfer Theater on South Lamar. Don’t miss out on one of their amazing performances.
