Waterfront Family Retreat Home Private Beach and Dock.

This home is only available for rental to families. It is a treasured family home located on eight acres of wooded property wandering up to a spectacular 300 feet of sandy beach on Arnica Bay. This is our second home and has been in the family for more than 40+ years. We are pleased to share it with other families. Families will enjoy quiet quality time spotting deer, dolphins, herons, pelicans, ospreys and bald eagles that live all around the property. Overhanging live oaks provide shade for chilling out on the beach. The 300 ft private beach has a clean sandy bottom with a gradual slope, perfect for swimmers of all ages. A large private dock provides the perfect location for boats (8 ft water) fishing, setting crab traps, tossing cast nets or just catching the breeze or enjoying magnificent sunsets.

In 2023 we added a deck that runs the length of the house and provides a spectacular place for outside meals and lounging on new deck chairs. The deck also provides increased covered area under the deck for extra shade areas to play yard games like cornhole and yard darts.
The house sleeps 10. Three separate bedrooms. One twin bed room, one queen bedroom, one bedroom with two double beds, one nook with two twin beds (trundle) and 1 futon on the porch. There are 3 full size bathrooms one half bath and one outside shower.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, dishes, cookware. The inside living room and dining room flow together into one main room, but the main living occurs on the screened in porch that has spacious living and dining areas and spectacular views of the bay.

The ground floor has the washer and dryer, a second stove for cooking all the delicious crabs you might catch and a ton of outside games/toys: Bocce ball, croquet, horseshoes, bag toss, badminton, beach toys, cast nets, crab traps, one paddle board, two kayaks and one loved canoe. There is also a ground floor covered patio with sitting area, large dining table and grill.


Location and nearby attractions: The house is on Arnica Bay, just a few minutes to Perdido Pass Bridge and the Gulf of Mexico. Josephine boat launch is less than a mile down the road. Across the water from the launch is Pirates’ Cove home of the “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, live music on the weekends, dolphin watch cruises and sail boat excursions. Nearby marinas include: Orange Beach Marina, Sportsman’s Marina and Barber Marina.

Deep sea and sailboat charters are readily available. The house is very close to the Inter-coastal waterway which makes boat access to dining locations like The Warf, Tacky Jacks and Lulus a breeze. Other nearby attractions within 30 minutes: OWA Amusement Park, Tanger Outlet Center/Foley. Fresh fruit, vegetable stands, farmsteads cheese factory and a winery are all less than 20 minutes away.

Gulf Shores and Pensacola are both about 35 minutes away and Mobile is an hour’s drive.
Summer holidays (memorial day, 4th of July and Labor day, the minimum rental is one week.
