Pretty and comfortable. There isn't a dishwasher in the property, and you can't see the sunrise or sunset like some of the reviews say, but it's very quiet and we did see manatee and lots of fish and birds. It's a great place to relax and enjoy nature.
The house was clean and well stocked. The neighborhood was peaceful with very little traffic. The view from the deck is gorgeous. We enjoyed watching the birds and dolphins. This was a very relaxing stay. The host communicated great and is top notch.
Parking was easy and for multiple cars. The house is cute and has a great view of the water easy access for biking or walking to town. The back deck needs some painting and few boards replaced. My only other issues was few dirty dishes and the tolit sit way to close to the small shower. The water pressure and temperature was good in the shower. Loved the sitting area in the bedroom over looking the bay.
Pros: Location close to the water with beautiful scenery, sunrises & sunsets, and wildlife. Street in front had very light traffic; very quiet all day; clean rooms & furnishings; binoculars for bird watching. Approx. half hour from several public beaches & boat ramp & fishing dock nearbyCons: no salt, pepper, condiments, coffee, shampoo or shower soap. We stayed 3rd week of February 2026.
Tho home was secluded and very peaceful. Get a kayak and explore the sound and then spend the evening watching the sunset from the balcony! Fantastic stay!
Sitting On The Sound is a great place to just sit back and relax. Have your morning coffee overlooking the water, and watching the sunrises/sunsets never get old. Please book again!
This was our second time staying at Sitting on the Sound. It is great for a laid back and relaxed beach getaway.

This house is a must see,you will love the views and sunsets. Real close to town and of course the boat ramp and marinas. Please come and see for yourself!
What a great place to stay. It was right on the water with amazing views. We could launched our kayaks right behind the house and it was very convenient to everything in town. Loved it and did not want to leave!
