This charming 3400 sq. ft. home is the perfect gathering place for families, wedding groups, and getaway weekends with friends. Located in a quiet country setting just 10 minutes from Mill Creek, the unique property is also 20 minutes from the charming town and wedding hub of Snohomish, and the tasteful delights of the Woodinville Wine Country. Every inch of this home was remodeled with comfort and beauty in mind to ensure your visit is relaxing and filled with joyful memories.

Our property SLEEPS up to 11 people, and also offers unparalleled LIVING space in the Mill Creek, Snohomish, Woodinville area. From the large gourmet kitchen and 10' island with 6 stools, large rustic dining table that seats 10, living room, basement bonus room, outdoor patio with BBQ, to the reading chairs in every bedroom, and comfy seating on the front porch; we offer the perfect combination of togetherness and personal space.

Older guests will appreciate two of the four bedrooms and two of our three bathrooms are main level, and each bathroom has a walk-in shower. Younger guests will enjoy the toys, air hockey table, xBox gaming system, board games and puzzles. For travelers who need to "work from home", we offer 3 desk areas throughout the house, and speedy mesh wi-fi. You'll also find convenient Level-2 electric vehicle charging.

The tranquil setting is just 10 minutes away from city amenities, restaurants and services. We can send you a map that demonstrates the MANY activities, day trips and adventures available within 30 minutes of our property. Starlight Cottage is truly the best of both worlds!

We have been VRBO hosts for this property since 2018 and despite over one hundred 5 star reviews, an algorithm change in the VRBO system 3 years ago reduced our visibility on the platform; as a result, our VRBO bookings dropped and we lost the Premier Host status we worked hard to earn and maintain in our first 5 years. Luckily, we get booked on other platforms and can demonstrate continued and consistent host excellence plus many more 5 star reviews.

We love bringing families and friends together and will deliver "tried and true" Premier Host energy to make your stay comfortable and memorable.

Perfect weekend!

Our group of 7 have stayed at Starlight Meadows about 6 times for a relazing weekend of scrapbooking. The house is perfect and Connie and Brick are wonwonderful hosts.

Perfect for our stay!

Just...WOW. The Starlight Cottage was the *perfect* place for our family gathering. Super friendly and accomodative host. This home is beautiful and the surroundings are picturesque and amazing. All the equipment in the house is very modern and clean, I have never seen such a large size refrigerator! The laundry room is like a conference hall! Perfect vacation home for a group

The property and home are beautifully maintained. The house has everything you could possibly need and more. There was plenty of space for the 10 of us - 4 adults, 3 teens, 3 kids. Connie was fabulous about communicating and made us feel very welcome. She even had fresh flowers on the kitchen counter and table as well as provided breakfast for us our first day. Definitely recommend.

I booked this property as a home base to go visit wineries in the area. It was close to all of the wineries, Connie and Brick were amazing hosts, there was nothing missing, the attention to detail was amazing! The property is on acreage,so as a ranch owner we felt at home without a house right next door. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need, including an organized spice drawer. We will definitely return, all of our guests loved it, definitely a home away from home, cant say enough!

Perfect family gathering place.

Our family - 6 adults, 3 children - stayed at this lovely home for Christmas. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and spend family time together. The grandsons loved the “treehouse” room! We spent memorable evenings downstairs playing games and watching TV. The kitchen was perfect for cooking. Everything needed was there. And there was plenty of room for alone time as well. Connie was a great host.she seemed to think of every detail. She even decorated the house for us! It really was the perfect place for our family.

I invited a group of women to visit for a week in the Seattle area. The location of this lovely home in Silver Firs/Bothell was a perfect choice for our get-together. The home was convenient to both I-5 and I-405 when we wanted to do sightseeing. We found the home very roomy, comfortable, and immaculate. Cooking in the well-equipped and superbly organized kitchen was a delight. Brick and Connie are excellent hosts. They responded quickly to any questions and made the process of renting very easy.

Wonderful home to enjoy for the uolidays

Connie did an amazing job hosting us. She was there to answer any questions we had throughout the stay. The house was stocked with anything we could need. They have really thought of everything. Our kids loved it, the family loved it, even my husband who loves to cook was impressed by what the kitchen had to offer. They had a beautiful tree set up in the house for us knowing we would be celebrating the holidays there as a family. This house has become our gold standard for what a rental house should be. Absolutely lovely

We had a such a great time at this beautiful house. We have rented houses all over the country and our group all agreed this one is are favorite. Every possible need has been anticipated…spices galore (not just salt and pepper) serving and cooking specialty dishes, complimentary snacks, and first breakfast food provided. There are, comfy chairs in every bedroom, two common spaces to accommodate your group, and even a laundry room with a comfortable place to sit, a large folding table, plus laundry soap and dryer sheets and a modern front load washer and dryer. We’ll sooo be back. Hostess Connie is minutes away and was delightful to work with. High praise from our well travelled group!!!

My husband Brick and I moved to Mill Creek in 1998 and really enjoy sharing the beautiful area with friends and family. In 2016 we remodeled a portion of the upstairs of our “barn” into our first VRBO property (#926649); it was a fun and challenging project. We paid attention to the details because we wanted to make it a place WE would love to stay. We had such a "barn" good time with our first short term rental property, in 2018 we opened a second, larger rental home across the street (#1431120).

We really love hosting, but do have a few other interests! My husband Brick is a software engineer. He completed restoration of his 1938 Chevy at the age of 21 and helped his father restore classic Dodges and raced them across the country 5 times in the Great American Race. Connie worked in high tech marketing for 12 years and ran an interior design business after having children. She is currently involved in running our nearby wedding venue and the day-to-day operations of our rentals. We are parents of two beautiful humans and on the weekend you might see us out and about watering or working in the yard (it is a big job!). We look forward to meeting you!

PLEASE NOTE: after listing our Rustic Chic Cottage in 2018 we made the fast track to achieve Premier Host status with VRBO. We have maintained this status and have 100% 5 Star ratings. In 2022 we opened a summer wedding venue nearby and reserved The Cottage for the bridal party and family to get ready in during events- which meant fewer bookings through VRBO. As a result, we did not meet the VRBO requirements for bookings in a 3-month period to maintain our Premier Host status. Please know that despite not meeting this numeric (and algorithmic) goal, we are still Premier Hosts at heart and will do everything possible to insure a comfortable and memorable stay.

Why they chose this property

We lived across the street from the beautiful but neglected Cottage property for 19 years, and decided it really needed to be loved. We purchased it in 2017 and spent 11 months renovating the home with new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, windows, lawn, flooring, dormer, roof, paint etc. No surface remained untouched. We even drilled for a new water well! We want to make this property a place where people come together and make joyful memories.

What makes this property unique

Connie spent 10 years making homes beautiful professionally, and now she spends a lot of time making our properties special. Each room is "curated" with harmonious and unexpected pieces designed for comfort, joy, and beauty.

Our setting is also unique; we offer a quiet rural setting (no stoplights or crowded streets), with all the business necessities located 10 minutes away in downtown Mill Creek. Every day delivers a quiet and beautiful getaway from the stresses of visiting, working and navigating the city. Starlight Cottage is truly the best of both worlds!
