Renovated Cabin by the Lake!

Located 5.5 miles (8 minute drive) from the village of Cooperstown, 10 (15 minute drive) miles to Dreams Park, 27.4 miles (38 minutes) to All-Star Village.

Redwood Cabin is a cozy 2+ bedroom, 2 bath Otsego lake cabin with 50' of private lakefront across the road. Recent renovations have elevated this home to a whole new level of comfort and enjoyment! This sweet, east-facing home is greeted with warm sunrises...a perfect way to enjoy your morning coffee or tea from one of the many decks both at the house and waterfront. Enjoy excellent fishing and swimming right from your own private dock, and swim to and from your own swim platform. (Please bring water shoes to protect from the sharp shells of zebra mussels).

Redwood Cabin provides an inviting and homey space for up to six guests with air conditioning in every room. There is off-street parking for two vehicles. Cable and Wifi are provided as well as the convenience of a dishwasher & washer and dryer.

We are able to accommodate your boat, if so desired. Please let us know if advance. There may be size limitations, but we are happy to work with you.

We think you will love this sweet cabin!!

**Please note there are stairs to the cabin and to the dock, and that you must cross the road to access the private waterfront.
** Please note the dock is installed Memorial Day Weekend to Mid-October.

We loved the cabin getaway while my son played at dreams park. The lake was great, the kayaks were fun and the entire cabin was charming and nicer than i expected in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Redwood cabin

The cabin is wonderful and the area is beautiful. All communication from when we first booked the cabin until we checked out was perfect. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The excellent reviews and the photos of the cabin are all accurate, the cabin is great. I found the location to be great, far enough from the busier areas around the park but close enough, 20 mins or so, to go back and forth a couple times a day if needed. Would have been nice to use the parking behind the cabin (especially when moving in and out w bags/luggage) as there are certainly a lot of stairs from the road to the cabin and going from the lake to the cabin is a workout, but it’s worth it. Cabin was clean. WiFi service great. AC works great and beds are comfortable.

Weekend get away

We had a wonderful stay at the lakeside cabin with picturesque views of the lake and colorful mountains in the back drop. We enjoyed evenings on the deck lakeside sipping wine and watching the waterfowl. The cabin itself is cozy and tastefully decorated, with very comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this gem of a get away!

Cooperstown house on Otsego Lake

The house was clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were perfect for our family to stay while attending the Cooperstown tournament. Easy drive to and from town.There are a lot of steps up, as advertised. Glad we had my 17 year old with us to lug up the bags. But other than that it was not an issue.We chose not to use the kayaks because we didn't want to clear the cob webs off of them :) But did spend some time on the dock.

Great cabin

This cabin was perfect for our visit to Dreams Park. It is larger than the pictures suggest and extremely comfortable. The property managers were great. The kayaks and swimming platform were nice perks we enjoyed after watching games. The wall air units were more than adequate for cooling the whole house. A nice touch: the full size toiletries. We highly recommend this rental if you visit the area.

Charming cottage

My cousin and i enjoyed our stay. Very clean, comfortable beds, very well stocked kitchen. The front stairs were quite daunting! Getting to the front door with our bags took great effort. It did not diminish our enjoyment of the space but i would caution seniors (like us!) And anyone else with mobility or balance issues.

Lake life!

We stayed for a week while our son played at Dreams Park. The cabin is so quaint and filled with the owners personal effects from Swedish heritage and made it even more special. Having the lake for fishing swimming and relaxing was exactly what we wanted for before/after/in between games. The beds were comfortable, AC room units worked great and the kitchen had all appliances, spices, cooking oils and utensils you would need. There’s a propane grill on the deck. Morning coffee /bagels and evening wine on the upper deck overlooking the water gave you a water view. Make sure you wear bug spray! The steps can be slippery after the rains … there are about 33 steps from the driveway to the front door. And another 30 down to the lake after you cross the street. You get used to that- it’s part of lake livin! I highly recommend this house!!

Cooperstown Dreams Park Week

Our entire family LOVED the cabin. It truly added to the excitement of our stay. The view was INCREDIBLE and the amenities were fantastic.

Pictures don’t do it justice!

Perfectly kept house, well equipped and very clean. I was worried about window unit AC but they were very modern and perfect to set different temps in each room. The lake is absolutely beautiful!! 15 minutes to Cooperstown Dream Park. Loved everything about this house!

Dreams Park Stay

My wife and I stayed at cabin while our youngest son played at Dreams Park. Perfect get away while we were not at fields. Can accommodate a small family. Especially enjoyed the lake front dock.

A little heaven in a red cabin

How could anyone ever tire of the views from the deck at this wonderful property? The landscape offered a different quality each and every day. This house is amazingly well-equipped. You could even bake muffins if you wanted to. The shed is full of water sports equipment. Parking is off the highway, which is terrific. I hope to go again someday. Thank you!

Redwood Cabin stay

Periodically, I come to Cooperstown to conduct research at either the Hall of Fame or the New York State Historical Association Library (or both)--and have stayed at a number of places. The Redwood Cabin was by the best. Quiet, beautiful view, and all the comforts of home--much better than any of the local hotels or inns, and at comparable pricing. Highly recommended.

Rustic cottage with beautiful view.

While not luxurious by any standard, this cottage is just right for a lake cottage. Small bedrooms. Adequate kitchen and outdoor grill. Agent was great to work with. I am hesitant to give all 5’s when I review, lest it appear as if I just went through the motions... but 5’s are well-deserved.

Overall our experience was very good. It was a plus to have some necessities (laundry detergent, linens, dish soap etc) available to us and not need to bring or purchase in town. The porch could use a little tidying up of the dead leaves and nature’s debris, and some of the over hanging tree vines leading up the stairs could be trimmed. Our property manager was accommodating and was kind enough to bring extra supplies to us during an unexpected power outage resulting from a storm.

Awesome cabin on gorgeous lake!

The Redwood Cabin was a beautiful cabin that was perfect for our needs for our stay in Cooperstown. Only a few miles from Main Street and overlooking the water made for a peaceful stay. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again in the future.
