Dad's Lakeside Dugout - Here's the place for a dream vacation for you and your family! This west-facing waterfront home enjoys amazing sunsets. Enjoy watching the sun set, and the stars come out - and the amazing reflections on the water. Your host provides a fire pit at the the waterfront. The moon's reflection over the water by the fire is a memory you and your family will carry for a lifetime. By the light of day challenge each other to a game of horseshoes in the horse shoe pits in the large level lawn.

This awesome lakefront home has been recently renovated. It has a long level lawn, a basketball hoop, corn hole toss game, fishing poles, and exercise equipment, too. This home is built into the side of a hill, allowing for lower level to be a walk-out. A balcony off the main level is ideal for outside dining and relaxing and enjoying those sunsets over the water.

Dad's Lakeside Dugout comfortably accommodates 8 people. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths on the main level and a 4th bedroom on the lower level with half bath. A sun room on the lower level as well as smaller sun room w/ bistro table provide multiple areas for people to gather.

Your host donates a portion of each rental to St Jude's Hospital or the ASPCA Animal Shelter.

Well equipped house on Lake Canadarago

Our second stay at Dad’s. Art is an excellent host, very responsive and friendly. Kitchen is very well equipped, lots of space in the house and on the lawn. The location on the lake is perfect and kayaks are provided. Bald eagles and osprey by day, excellent stargazing at night. 20 minutes from Glimmerglass and Cooperstown. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing location

We had an absolutely amazing time staying here. It was clean, organized, and very well stocked. The property owners were a joy to work with in the location could not be beat. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

Great stay, beautiful location

Beautiful view, clean house! Up for a Cooperstown baseball tournament and this house allowed us to sneak in moments of 'vacation' for us and our other kids. It's 20 minutes away from the park but we found that an easy drive and worth it. The lake access afforded us sunsets, fishing and kayaking in our downtime. The house was clean and had everything stocked we could need. Less than 10 minutes away from a grocery store, a cute general store with great sandwiches and we loved Jerry's for a burger and a milkshake.

Amazing!

This is the third time that our family has stayed at Dad’s Lakeside Dugout. To say that the house is beautiful, the property awesome, and the view breathtaking does not even give the property the accolades it deserves. Cooperstown Stay has always been very pleasant to work with. I have been in contact with the owner several times throughout our years of renting this property and he has always been very kind, available, helpful and considerate. Our family always looks forward to our time there and cherish the beautiful memories we have made while staying there! Thank you for opening your home to allow us to have amazing experiences and beautiful memories.

Perfect lakeside getaway

Dad's Lakeside Dugout provided the perfect setting for our family's weekend retreat. The house is nicely appointed and has plenty of space to spread out, which made for a very comfortable stay. We found the house clean and well cared for. The information provided by the owners was very useful. The kitchen is well supplied and there are plenty of supplies to enjoy the outdoor space (kayaks, fishing poles, lawn furniture, games, patio furniture, grilling supplies, etc). It literally had everything we needed. It's a lovely location, right on the lake. We enjoyed cocktails on the deck each evening with the beautiful sunset as a backdrop. After dinner, we sat around the firepit down by the lake. In the mornings, we fished right of the shore. It's a easy 20 minute drive into Cooperstown and local restaurants & attractions.

A Perfect Week!

My family and I had such a lovely time at Dad's Lakeside Dugout. We enjoyed the beautiful view and playing outside, but inside the house was even better! It was big, with tons of room to sprawl out and relax. And it was perfectly clean! We will absolutely be back.

Worst vacation house EVER

We had the worst experience. The house has a major water issue that is not disclosed on the app to let you know before booking. The house is on an old well and it’s the maintained. The running water throughout the house smells like sewage. The odor is so foul it made it impossible to do dishes, brush your teeth, let alone shower. The owner wasn’t very helpful and down right rude. We lasted 1 night out of the 9 we were suppose to be there. We asked the owner multiple times for a refund after finding out this issue. He said, “it is what it is & that we could always use a bottled water to brush our teeth, and if it was him he wouldn’t let it ruin our trip.” I would stay far away from this place or any other bookings this company may have. We had to get 2 rooms at the local hotel for the rest of our stay. The owner never refunded us our money in full! Been fighting with him ever since.

Lovely weekend by the lake

We loved this property! Spent the day at the lake enjoying all the toys: tubes/noodles, kayak, & canoe. The water was warm, but definitely would recommend water shoes. We played tons of games on the expansive lawn and roasted s'mores in the fire pit under a sky full of stars. The home had everything we needed. Absolutely loved the outdoor deck with the gorgeous lake view. There were so many great spots for the adults and kids to spread out and relax. We didn't leave the entire weekend. Our hosts were welcoming and available for questions and helped us out when we left a few items behind. We are already planning a return trip. Thank you Artie & Debbie!

Great house!

Lots of room, equipped with so much to enjoy your time there! From kitchen accessories to outdoor activities, we didn’t need a thing! Great location, the lake is beautiful.

Our vacation

Everything was very nice except 3 different check out times from when it was rented and when we arrived and no dock and there was a dock in the picture and no volleyball/ badminton which the kids were looking forward to

Kick Back and Relax

A very well kept home. Spacious and inviting. Rooftop deck a great place for morning coffee while gazing at the lake. A nice lake and fun for swimming and boating, but bring your water shoes. Loved the peaceful setting and we all enjoyed hanging out on the waterfront.
