Alegranza is a prestigious condo in San José del Cabo, with all the amenities you could wish for and the best location to enjoy the attractions of the area.

This is a fully equipped, spacious and luxurious apartment with two bedrooms, entirely for our guest’s enjoyment. The views are beautiful; there is a lot of lighting and airflow, also areas for sunbathing. For being on a first level the apartment has its own lovely garden and immediate access to a pool and jacuzzi area. It has an outdoor dining table and a small grill and there’s another dining room inside. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook nice meals, with capacity for six services, large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven, blender, toaster and coffee maker. The rooms have king size beds and are very spacious, as are their bathrooms and closets. The main bedroom has hot tub and shower. The living room is very comfortable, spacious and the entire apartment is decorated with the best taste; it also has air-conditioner to stay cool. We offer complete sets of towels for bath and beach, relaxing bath amenities, hair dryer, iron, washing and dryer machine. You may easily walk from your room to the pool or to the beach if you keep on for 10 minutes, feeling at home. As if this were not enough, both rooms have an amazing ocean view!

Our guests can enjoy all the amenities that Alegranza offers. Designed by the acclaimed architect Carlos Herrera, this exclusive complex offers an unrivaled experience in comfort, privacy, spaces and landscapes. It has a tennis court, spa, gym with sauna and steam, three beautiful pools near the beach, two jacuzzis, a golf area, bonfires, a palapa-bar with outdoor BBQ and the Casianos restaurant, which has one of the best local chefs. If your whim is to make a great barbecue and my grill is too small, the common areas have a great equipment to do it, every two buildings you will find these areas, designed for your pleasure.

Lovely Condo in Great Location

We have come to love staying in this condo. We have stayed there twice in one year and surely plan on staying there every time we vacation in San Jose Del Cabo. It feels very homey. The location great very close to downtown and the beach.

Came from La Paz to be close to airport. Beautiful pool area right out slider and down a few stairs.Spacious condo with nice furnishings and enormous bathrooms. We were glad we came for a couple nights.

GREAT CONDO

We have stayed in several locations in San Jose del Cabo including other suites in Alegranza. We were extremely happy with this suite. The ground floor access to the pools was a pleasant surprise - quick, convenient access with a view! The suite is well maintained, spacious, modern and the owner was quick to respond to questions and assistance. We would consider renting this location again. Thank you.

Exceptional grounds; condo needs a refresh

This condo has an excellent view from the terrace of the ocean and walks out to mature and well maintained gardens, pools and hot tub. The condo itself needs a refresh ( including windows that actually lock and a safe that works) and the kitchen could be better equipped ( ie there is no kettle).

Alegranza is nice. However the restaurant has been closed for almost a year and the pools aren’t heated. Lounge chairs are awful. The listing is not accurate. This is not a resort type of location. Bug issue in the unit was resolved nicely and quickly. It was a good location to be able to walk to town and hotels. There is no beach access nearby.

Lovely property but WiFi wouldn’t work

Really nice property. Clean, well equipped and in a very good location. It would have been perfect if the WiFi was working. We contacted the owner but unfortunately she wasn’t able to get it working while we were there. We were curious as to why the WiFi didn’t work, but the owner didn’t follow up with an explanation. Because there wasn’t a follow up from the owner I would hesitate recommending this property.

We love Alegranza

We love staying at Alegranza! The location is awesome, grounds are beautiful and the pools and amenities are amazing. Check in for this unit was simple with key code for the door and the unit was clean. We have stayed at many rentals and I would say this one had everything you needed but could use a little refresh and minor repairs. We were perfectly comfortable but a few simple updates would have made for excellent rating. The kitchen sink faucet needed replacement, lock on the slider door is broken, the BBQ needs to be thrown away as it is absolutely not useable, new beach towels for the pool would be nice as the ones provided were worn and some simple refreshes to the kitchenware. With that said we were not uncomfortable but for the money these simple fixes would have been nice. We felt very safe and the unit is walkable to the grocery store, shops and restaurants.

Incredible location and property, very responsive property manager

We've stayed in different Alegranza properties and love the location! This was our first experience in this unit/renting through Vrbo, but it worked well. Some small issues with appliances/stuck door, but the property owner was very responsive (and even left a gift for the inconvenience - so sweet!). Will definitely rent again!

The Alegranza is a great place to stay for a vacation. The location half way between town and the beach worked well for us. The grounds and pool area are beautiful and meticulously maintained. We are not tennis players but the court looked good. The workout room was also excellent with plenty of equipment available. The unit itself is quite spacious, well equipped and, as a previous reviewer said, could easily house two couples under most circumstances. There were just the two of us which was a good thing because the air conditioning in the smaller bedroom went down almost immediately. This was not too a big issue for us as we were using the other bedroom. We did email this issue to owner. Perhaps the best thing about the condo is the open feel from the living area to its deck. The deck is so nice with the little patch of grass, bougainvillea bushes and outdoor eating area. Being on the ground floor, the deck has great DIRECT ACCESS to the grounds and pool area as well. This would have been tremendous if the lock on the sliding door from the deck to the living room would not have been broken. It could not be locked. We did email 3 times over the two week period. The first response from the resident manager told us that it was working just fine when she saw it last and that because they had security at the front of the complex that we would be safe. Towards the end of our stay we were told that they couldn’t fix it and would have to get a new one. As a result of this broken lock, every time we went out or went to bed we would have to drag the heavy metal security shutters across and bolt them in place. I guess we could have relied on the security at the entrance to the Alegranza complex and left the slider unlocked. Would you? When you have such a security problem that was not being addressed you start to get a bit neurotic about the smaller things that you would normally overlook. We Emailed the manager about the three ceiling pot lights that were burnt out and that there is no iron. The ancient coffee maker makes a brew that tastes like plastic. I could go on. I do note that the lack of attention from the resident manager is a recurrent theme. A previous reviewer explained that the wifi was out for their entire stay and that they got no help. Her response to their review was, “well we had some trouble with our wifi but it works perfect now”. That was too late for him and I guess our unfulfilled requests are too late for us as well.

The Condo was the perfect space for two couples with our own bathrooms.

The condo had a great space for two couples sharing, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need for cooking, but the restaurants were plentiful and cheap. The beds were very comfortable. We rented a car from the airport and had a parking space that was secure. Not sure if it was an actual 10 min walk to the beach as the path to get there was not easily accessed. Felt very safe and comfortable and would recommend this to our friends.

Why they chose this property

Alegranza is a luxurious condominium of 95 properties offering enviable services and amenities. It is located on a hill above San José Bay, on the beautiful residential golf course of San José del Cabo. Walking 10 minutes you reach the beach and in 15 minutes the historic center with its many boutiques, galleries, restaurants and handicraft shops, as well as the beautiful Church of San Jose. It is a very peaceful and exclusive area that could not be better located. The beautiful beach of Palmilla is 10 minutes away by car, with its wonderful bay, perfect for swimming because of its serenity. If you are looking for waves to surf, you can also reach Acapulquito, Las Olas, Pescadito and Zippers beaches in 10 minutes. The closest golf clubs are Palmilla and Club Campestre. If you like to fish, the marina of Puerto los Cabos is very close too. Alegranza is 15 minutes by car from Los Cabos International Airport.

What makes this property unique

This apartment was my home for a while and I know it well. It has a beautiful sea view, I have seen whales while having breakfast. It is very close to the beach, very quiet, and the condo has great amenities.

The location is surrounded by all the attractions and services you need to have a perfect time, you can walk to many places and there are local businesses nearby, also a Walmart and a hospital. I lived 10 years in Cabo and I'm your best guide if you need any recommendation to eat, drink, buy, have fun or transport; please ask with freedom. Sabrina, the current host, has 20 years of local experience.

The beaches are definitely one of the most attractive points of interest of San José del Cabo. Its particular desert geography contrasts with the sea, surrounded by thick mounds of great diversity of cactus and the most peculiar vegetation. Its beaches and maritime views undoubtedly have a place among the most beautiful destinations in the world. You can’t miss the chance to stay here.
