Modern mountain chic cabin nestled right in the middle of the village yet still feels secluded. Perfect for a romantic getaway or family vacation with large child-friendly gated yard. Music lovers enjoy the piano, guitar, record player and the music-themed decor. Just a few steps to restaurants, shopping, live music, playground, library, Wine Walk, Concert in the Park, Butterfield Amphitheater, Farmer's Market, Fruit Stand, Idyllwild Strong Fest, Halloween Parade, July 4th Parade, events, art galleries, wine tasting, brewpub, coffee shops, bakeries, grocery store, theater and Strawberry Creek. No need to drive! You can park your car and never drive for your entire visit.

Designed with a hip contemporary flair, our 800 sq. ft., two-story guesthouse features a fully upgraded music-themed interior: Full size digital piano, guitar, record player with old school collection, bluetooth speaker, flat screen TV with ROKU, full kitchen, hand-crafted dining table with bear sculpture base and glass top, new gas fireplace with remote, new full bath with walk-in shower downstairs, new half bath upstairs, free WIFI, board games, desk and water filtration system. The very spacious upstairs master suite has a mountaintop view, comfy king size bed with fine linens and Tempurpedic mattress, modern half bath, loveseat, upholstered rocking chair and a workspace. The cabin has a cozy, modern decor with Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines artwork throughout. Enjoy the amazing outdoor entertainment area complete with fireplace, cozy night lighting strung overhead, a new BBQ, plenty of seating and even a basketball court!

We value your privacy with the utmost respect. Our guesthouse cottage stands next to our full time residence but has its own driveway and plenty of level parking. Our guests may check in themselves via keypad but we are here to assist you at any time.

This was our second time coming and we will return again. The cabin is easy to find, you can walk around town and not have to look for parking because the cabin is so close to everything. It’s very clean and the owner is super communicative.

Often times mountain cabin rentals can be rustic, and a bit rundown. However, this particular rental seems to be completely remodeled, everything is freshly painted, the bathrooms are modernized and beautiful, and the grounds were also exquisite. We didn’t think being able to walk to town would be such a bonus but it turned out to be so this is one of the best things about this rental. Also my husband had a great time shooting baskets.

We were in Idyllwild for a wedding and were fortunate enough to find Jim and Jo's place within walking distance of the venue and the best part of town. Arrival instructions were clear and easy and they had the heat on for us upon arrival. We settled in easily and the place was immaculate. We walked around the town and had some great coffee, Italian, and ice cream while we were there and we were able to take our two boys on a small hike near the Nature Center. Jo and Jim's place has the best character with all their Jazz Festival Photos. I felt like I was staying with a beloved family member. There was even a bookshelf with a variety of children's books.Thanks for sharing your cottage with us!

Charming bungalow

The place is charming and in close walking distance of anything in town, but quiet and private. We brought two small children and found baby gates and everything we needed. Very clean and very comfortable, and hosts are fantastic and very quick to communicate.

Great For Active Recovery

After running the O.C. Marathon, the hiking trails here were great for an active recovery. Very close to town, we were able to walk to all the fun shops and restaurants. The cabin was very comfortable.

Being from the midwest originally, we love the friendly, small town atmosphere and being able to walk to everything, especially restaurants and live music. Some of our favorities are Ferro, Idyllwild Brewpub and Gastrognome.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property because it has the best of both worlds. It's right in the middle of the village so we walk to everything we need, yet is on a quiet, wooded street that still feels secluded.
