So much space for everyone! There were 4 families, and we never felt overcrowded. The kitchen is amazing. Two dishwashers, two ovens and two refrigerators - which is all super great if you’re traveling with little ones. Michele was easily reachable and responded promptly! She was very sweet and made us all feel welcome.
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The layout and accommodations were wonderful. I would consider renting it again.
Exceeded all our expectations. Thank you for sharing your home.
Great Big House
This house was wonderful. We were in the area for a wedding and wanted a house large enough to fit all of us. We had 10 adults and 6 young kids, and there was a bed for everyone! Bedroom 4 had a toddler bed in addition to the queen bed mentioned in the listing. And bedroom 7 had a trundle bed under the single, so the room actually has two twin beds. Bedroom 7 is more of a loft with no door, so we just had kids sleep there. The house was huge, and the kids liked to play in the media room (which can only be accessed by going through bedroom 3). They called it the hideaway. There were 2 washers and 2 dryers! The kitchen had 2 dishwashers! The yard was nice and big. We had the kids chasing bubbles.
The following weren't issues for us, but just as an FYI, the bathroom in bedroom 4 had a slanted ceiling in the tub, so it acted more like a shower stall. And the wifi had to be reset multiple times while we were there. Otherwise everything was perfect!
We get together every year and this was the first house where we didn't feel cramped! It had everything we needed, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Great Kitchen and living areas.
Nice property on a very nice lot.
This house and its furnishings are beyond lovely.
This is a huge well maintained elegantly furnished historic beauty. I wish a history of the house had been available there for us to look at, I am so curious about who built it and who has lived there. 100+ year old chandeliers throughout the house, gorgeous wallpapers, lovely antiques, immaculate, spacious, colorful. It would be a fantastic destination for a family reunion (we were there for a work reunion of 7 people). The house sleeps many people very comfortably in the 2 upstairs bedroom floors. You could have your dinner in the formal dining room (where we did) or at the long kitchen table (we did breakfast there). Michele will answer your text/email enquiries very promptly and with helpful answers. I look forward to our being able to stay there again.
Thank you for your wonderful review of Summerwood! I agree, this home is pretty special and provides a glimpse into a different era, but with all of today's modern amenities. It was a pleasure having you and your group visit again. You are always so lovely to work with. I look forward to hearing from you next year!
