About this property

Comfy Three Bedrooms, Two Baths, Competitively Priced with Lots of Amenities

Our house is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It has been recently painted with many new updates and furnishings. We are located two blocks from the sound (bay) which offers a public boat ramp, spectacular sunset views, and miles of multi-use paths for walking, jogging, and biking. We are an easy walk to public sound accesses for fishing, crabbing, or relaxing. The closest ocean beach is approximately 3/4 of a mile from the house and affords many public accesses and free parking. Within one mile we have supermarkets, department stores, ice cream parlors, coffee shops, and many fine restaurants. Within one mile is a new Target store projected to open in Spring 2023. Within five miles, more restaurants, arcades, mini-golf, movies, and so forth.

PLEASE NOTE: On the ground floor of the house we have a small, separate, one bedroom unit which we have had as a vacation rental for the past several years -- see VRBO 685432. This unit is suited for up to two adults. In the years we've lived above the unit, we have never heard any excessive noise from the guests below other than their car doors closing. Likewise, they have never commented on hearing noise from above. Each unit is private and separate.

Also note, new this year, we are now providing linens and towels. Along with bed linens, we provide one set of towels (towel and washcloth) per guest plus one beach towel per guest.

We have available on the ground floor a gas grill with side burner and spare propane tank, a porch swing, and an outside shower. These items are also made available to downstairs guests as well.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

My fiancée and I stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The property is well maintained, clean, and orderly. It is well located, close to a new Target and grocery stores, restaurants etc. The hosts are very responsive and helpful and ensured we had a great stay. We walked to the beach each day, and while it is a fifteen minute walk, there is a safe place to cross at the crosswalk/light at the Target and a wagon made carrying anything easy. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice week in a great location in the Outer Banks!

My family and I stayed here for vacation. The house is in a great location and it was easy to access things. There was a multi use trail just two blocks away which allowed us to ride our bikes all over. I felt very safe. The house was very clean and well provisioned. We had a great time!

Great location for all the things. We did things north and south of the house and nothing was too far. It was a great house with everything we needed for the home, laundry available, beach gear, etc. Our kids took the bunks and we had comfortable rooms for the rest of the adults. Highly recommend.

Place was clean and great amenities. We utilized the outside hammocks and grill as well as the decks seating. Family room big enough for all 7 to have movie night. Comfortable House in a Great Location

This house had everything we wanted for our short spring break getaway. The place is spacious and comfortable, immaculately clean, and well furnished with anything you might need. We enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. The neighborhood is quiet and charming, with the Sound a short walk away and the beach just a short drive with easy public access. Family Summer Vacay

My family along with my brothers had such a good time. We are so sad to leave. We truly felt at home. Close to everything without feeling like you are. We were so nervous with the other renters below us and our children being children…but the second couple even complimented on “how quiet” our children were. We definently had to get them to settle down to make sure we didn’t bother anyone. They have set it up just right!! We were provided with more than most houses we’ve stayed at. I recently retired after 40 years of public school teaching. I grew up in southeastern Virginia and would come to the Outer Banks often on family vacations and while my father was building houses in the area. I feel in love with the area and knew I would eventually make the OBX my permanent home.

I fell in love with the house because of the peacefulness of the area and the many attractions within a few minutes drive or walk.

What makes this property unique

Easy walk to sound side accesses to enjoy the many attractions this body of water offers -- fishing, crabbing, unique and stunning sunsets, and simply relaxing. Miles of multi-use paths just two blocks away for walking, jogging, or bike riding. You can walk, jog, or bike to the Wright Brothers Memorial without dealing with busy streets. Easy drive to ocean access with free parking plus shopping, dining, and entertainment -- all within a few miles or less!
