Welcome to 529 Elmira Street in the downtown area of Cape May! Named the Cape Island Cottage, this historic single-family homehas been recently renovated and includes six bedrooms and three full bathrooms. This beautifully decorated home can sleep up to fourteen people. As you walk in the home the first floor includes two spacious living areas, each with TVs, great for movie and gamenights. There is also a dining area with a wooden table and bench. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cabinet space and a breakfast bar with additional seating. There is a first-floor master bedroom with a king-sized bed and a full bathroom withshower. The first floor also includes a full bathroom with shower and bathtub combination as well as a laundry room. Take your pick on the second-floor of five guest bedrooms. There is one king bedroom, one queen bedroom, one queen plus a full-sized futon bedroom,one full-sized bed bedroom and one twin over a twin bunk bed bedroom with junior twin chaise lounge. Upstairs has a full bathroom with a double vanity and a shower and bathtub combination for the guest rooms to share. Outside spaces include a front porch as well as a back deck with propane grill and two picnic tables leading to a spacious backyard. There are three off street parking spots on site. Additional amenities include, 2 baby gates, a pack n play, high chair, stroller and beach box with 4-5 beach chairs, sand toys and umbrella at the Ocean Street beach during the season. This home does not provide beach tags. Please bring your own sheets a towels for your stay. 529 Elmira Street is a wonderful combination of historic charm and updated amenities, located two blocks from the Washington Street Mall and an eightminute walk to the Ocean Street beach. There are restaurants, shops, parks and entertainment all within walking distance of this clean and comfortable home. Book your stay today!Beach Boxes are NOT confirmed or guaranteed until the year of the summer you are booking. Boxes are a first come basis and are limited in availability. The owner makes every attempt to secure a box. Boxes are only available between Memorial Day and Labor Day if one is secured.

This house was perfect for our family gathering. There were 10 of us - 5 couples. Bedrooms, kitchen, dining, sitting rooms, porches all designed to support large groups very comfortably. House is easy walking distance from the heart of Cape May and the beach, yet it’s on a quiet street. All was just as advertised. No surprises!

Friends Weekend Reunion

Great to get together with friends & spouses of 40+ years. Place was very comfortable for 5 couples. Bedrooms good, common spaces great & kitchen good for our group. Location was walkable to Cape May restaurants, mall and beach.

Perfect Family Getaway!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in this beautiful home! There was enough room for everyone to have their own space but the main floor is designed for gathering. The house was clean and well-equipped. It was a luxury to have off street parking and a 5 minute walk to the store.

Beautiful Home - Great location

We had a wonderful time at this home! It was the perfect size for our two families. Beautifully decorated and was very clean. It was the perfect distance to walk to the Washington Mall, Acme, Cape May Carriage rides, local restaurants and bike rentals. Despite being a little bit of a hike to get to the beach, it was a lovely walk and we didn't have to drive anywhere the entire week. Would certainly recommend to anyone considering staying here!

Location location location!

The home was decorated well and very comfortable. The kids loved the location because they could walk many places that they usually frequent. Saved a lot of time by not having to drive around looking for a parking spot. We also loved sitting on the large front porch. The check in was very convenient and Holly the realtor was always prompt at returning any texts or calls. Overall it was an amazing place and one we hope to return to in the future.

Wonderful at Christmastime

This house was great. Clean, updated, adorably decorated. The location makes for a very short walk to the mall, the beach, or anything in town, which is especially great in the winter. The owners decorated for the holidays in a beachy, minimal way that added a really nice surprise as we stayed there for our family holiday celebration. Multiple, good-sized bedrooms and bed configurations was perfect for our entire family with kids and all. We all loved the house and would absolutely stay there again!

We loved staying at this recently renovated property. The house was decorated beautifully, and we enjoyed being able to walk to the downtown area. The kitchen was well equipped, and there were many bedrooms. One thing to note- the stairs leading to the upper floor are very steep, and they would not be safe for a toddler or elderly person. They worked fine for our kids due to their age however. Great house!

Excellent Choice

I love EVERYTHING about this house. It was super close to town. Took us less than 10 minutes to walk there. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could possibly need. We had 14 people staying in the house and it was extremely comfortable - we never felt like we were on top of each other or that it was crowded. The front and back porches were fantastic. The yard is a decent size if you wanted to spend time outdoors. The rental agent was very easy to deal with and was very responsive to emails. The only thing I would recommend is to bring hand towels. I know the listing says to bring linens and towels, but we didn't think about hand towels for bathrooms. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Blue House/yellow Door

This is a great house in a perfect location. House is large with plenty of room for a large group. One word of caution- the stairs to the second floor are very steep and not good for anyone with mobility issues. However, there is a very nice master bedroom with beautiful master bath on the first floor. This is an old house that has been lovingly maintained with original wood floors, woodwork, and exposed brick. The house is well appointed and beautifully decorated. One of the best features is the spacious backyard and deck. If you are traveling with littles, they’ll love the yard. The location is great- close to the Washington Street pedestrian mall, restaurants, bars, miniature golf, beach and the all important Acme. We hope to go back again someday!

Loved our stay at the blue cottage

This house was exactly as advertised if not more. It was immaculately kept with beautiful decor. There were enough rooms for our kids and their friends. Kitchen is spacious and very well stocked. We did not have to buy anything and it felt just like our own home. The house has everything one would need for a short stay. It is well located with a 5 minute walk to the Main Street and 10 minute walk to the beach. The beach box with chairs and umbrellas were also very helpful. The owners were very prompt to replace one of the broken umbrellas. Thanks to the blue cottage we had a great stay in Cape May with our family and friends.

A Gem in Cape May

This property was just perfect for 7 senior ladies for a 5 day stay in Cape May. Plenty of room for almost all to have their own bedroom, sufficient bathrooms for this many ladies, and a kitchen that was equipped with Everything you could possibly need. We spent. time on the back deck having snacks and cocktails before dinner. On other days, we sat comfortably on the front porch where the warming rays of the sun kept the chill away in the cooler late afternoon to early evening. It was an easy walk to shopping area, tour operator, and also down to the beach for a walk. Just the perfect location. Loved it all!!

Lovely home!

This house is exactly as described-very comfortable, clean, and nice touches to make us feel comfortable. We had a girls weekend and the location was perfect for access to restaurants, shops, bars, and the ocean. I will definitely check out this property for future rentals! One thing to note-the stairs are a bit steep (as they often are in old homes). Manageable, but something to note if anyone has trouble with steps
