We invite you, your family and friends to stay on our 40 acre farm for some rest and relaxation time.

*Our cottage sits on our 40 acre WORKING farm. During the summer and fall months many people from around the world visit the farm stand to pick fruit and take in the beautiful views of Mt. Hood and surrounding cottage gardens. During the daytime hours, the yard will be shared with many tourists taking pictures of the mountains, farm and flower gardens.

Hood, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Biking, Golf, Tennis, Fitness Center, Fishing, Hunting, Horseback Riding, Shopping, Restaurants, Cinemas, Museums, Sightseeing, Swimming, Boating, Sailing, Rafting, Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Wine Tasting at local vineyards, Brew Pubs.

In the winter enjoy some of the best ski and snowboarding in the state, at Cooper Spur (15 miles) and Mt. Hood Meadows (25 miles). If it’s sledding you desire, Little John Snow-Park is 20 minutes away.

In the summer spend the morning and afternoon exploring the Columbia River Gorge. You may choose to take a tour of the beautiful Hood River Valley by train, explore the fruit farms and wineries (on the fruit loop map) by car or take up some windsurfing lessons at the river. You may just want to hang out on our farm and feed the animals, pick your own fruit or just enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Hood on our swing.

*This farm home features: A breath taking view of Mt. Hood. Four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps eight with three queen beds, and one double bed, has a full kitchen with dishwasher, laundry room, large family room with beautiful over-sized furniture, a cozy wood burning fireplace, and a dining room that seats up to eight. Satellite TV, DVD and phone are also included. All linens and cooking utensils are provided.

*Please respect and treat our house as your own. Also be mindful of turning off lights and helping to keep the electric bill manageable. Though our home is picturesque for parties, weddings and reunions, we do not allow such events at our farm house. No smoking or drugs of any kind is allowed in our home. Pets are not allowed.

*Please note that you will be staying on a working farm, which means the yard is not private, there are many visitors that visit our fruit stand from all over the world. Our visitors enjoy taking in the mountain views and gorgeous flowers our yard offers.

*There is a curtain that separates bedroom 3 and 4, not a door.

About Theresa

Theresa Draper has been running the farm since 1982 when our grandpa Roman and grandma Ann passed the legacy over to her. Farming has always been in her blood, as she would follow Roman's every footstep. She has made a lot of good changes along the way to the farm but has always kept grandpa's vision in mind; people first. Now all the daughters help run the farm. A few years back, Theresa and her girls decided to fix up the farm house they all grew up in, and turn it into a vacation rental.

Theresa purchased this farmhouse in 1982

Why Theresa chose Mt. Hood, The Gorge

Located at the base of Mt. Hood with spectacular views, the Draper Girls' decided it would be the perfect vacation area. It's only twenty minutes from the town of Hood River, twenty-five minutes from Mt. Hood Meadows, Cooper Spur and Little John Snow Park. If skiing, snowboarding, sledding, hiking, biking or windsurfing is your thing the Columbia Gorge is the place for you.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The farm house sits on our forty acre working farm.

Guestbook comments from the owner

To come from Australia to attend my grand daughters wedding and find this tranquil place to stay has given such pleasure. The Mt. Hood scenery will stay with me as a special part of America. My young grand daughter have had a great stay and with cats, strawberry picking, the swing have felt much at home. Thank you for your kindness!

Oh my goodness....the view!!

  • 5 of 5

We completely enjoyed our stay in your farmhouse. The house was perfect to accommodate our family for my son's wedding at Mt Hood. The kitchen is truly fully stocked, so we were able to do a lot of eating in while enjoying the view. Breakfast and coffee outside in the crisp mountain air truly made me never want to come back home to reality. The produce stand next door offered most everything we needed. The house is spacious and so very comfortable. Thank you for the accommodations and hospitality!!

Our third visit, and we'll be back.

  • 5 of 5

We have a reason to visit the Hood River area regularly, but we enjoy staying here so much it is extra incentive to make the trip. Our girls love visiting with the goats and picking apples. There are so many great day trips that can be made from the farm, any time of the year.

Wonderful Charming Location

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect little hideaway if you're looking for a rustic retreat!

We were there for our yearly girls vacation trip and we loved it. Sitting by the wood fireplace, cooking in the adorable vintage looking kitchen and walking around the apple orchard. The goats weren't out yet for the season and the owner kindly brought over a baby lamb for us to pet! Be aware that you are right next to their fruit stand so there are tourists near the house, but it didn't bother us.

Such a great weekend, thanks again!

Cute vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

I loved the vintage feel of the home. Spectacular view of Mt. Hood. My family had a wonderful time here and commented many times how much we liked this vacation rental. It's a nice little country get away.

Cute farm house

  • 5 of 5

This place is in a perfect location. We were close to all the ski places and Hood River. Far enough away to have quiets nights by the fire and a rousing game of monopoly. My husband found his perfect spot in a comfy chair tending the fire. We even picked up some apples and pears from the fruit stand before we left.

We had a nice stay, the house was well stocked and clean. I loved the fireplace & fresh clean water

  • 4 of 5

The house is older and rustic but comfortable and had clean linens. I enjoyed having the house stocked with games, food, utensils etc. Also it was nice having the self serve fruit stand next door. The honey came in especially useful as my wife was sick with a sore throat for most of the trip. Also it was great to have a fireplace to dry out our ski gear each night . My only regret is that we had to leave our very well behaved dog at home, I feel like she would have fit in fine in the house . Overall it's a great place to stay especially if you're looking to ski mt hood.

Owner's Response: As much as we love dogs or any pet we have chose to make our vacation house a pet free house. Many of the people that rent my house are allergic to pet hair and rent from me because I do have a no pet policy. We have it stated on our site that we are a no pet vacation rental.
