Welcome to our Lakehouse!
We are so excited to share this special home with you! Our family has dreamed of owning a lake house we can escape to and where we can build lasting family memories. We have worked hard to fully renovate the home to make it a place where friends and family can truly relax and forget the stresses of life.

We may be biased, but we think we are in the best location on the Great Sacandaga! The lake house is just off North Shore Road about 7 miles north of the Batchellerville Bridge. Our lakefront is in a quiet, serene cove with direct walk-out access to the lake. We have a private dock and beach area with stunning views of the Adirondacks. Only about 30 miles from Lake George & Saratoga, we are in the perfect location to enjoy all these areas have to offer. And yet at the end of the day, you can easily escape home to our welcoming oasis on the lake.

This open-concept home has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and enough sleeping arrangements for up to 12 guests to spread out comfortably throughout over 2,300 square feet of living space, making it an ideal accommodation for a family or group of close friends looking for a memorable lake vacation.

You’ll feel right at home the moment you step inside the home’s bright interior with beautiful reclaimed wood posts and beams, expansive windows with views to the lake, and access to a huge deck outfitted with plenty of seating for all. The large, fully-equipped kitchen opens to the dining area and has room for everyone to gather. There is an open but cozy family room with both a flat-screen TV and a shuffleboard table. This home encourages quality family time, but is also large enough to provide quiet areas to retreat to!

Located on the 1st floor, there is a Master Bedroom with a king-sized bed, gorgeous lake views, and a screened-in porch. What a wonderful way to wake up each morning! Across from the Master is a bright bunk room with 3 twin-sized beds. The kids will love staying in this room together. Also located downstairs, in an alcove off of the living room, is a sofa that folds down allowing for additional sleeping space (ideal for a child, not an adult).

Upstairs has two additional bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and the second with a queen-sized bed, as well as a trundle bed that pulls out to accommodate two twin-sized mattresses. An additional twin-sized cot is also available upstairs. Each upstairs bedroom has a separate a/c unit.

This house has a completely renovated full-sized bathroom on the 1st floor with a gorgeous tiled shower, custom concrete countertops, and double sinks, as well as a second full-sized bathroom on the second floor with a shower/tub combination.

One of the best features of our lake house is the large lot it sits on! The expansive backyard with towering pines truly provides a wonderfully private oasis. Down at the beach, enjoy a refreshing swim, go paddling in our canoe or kayaks, or bring your boat to fully enjoy exploring the Great Sacandaga. We know whether you are outside simply relaxing on the deck or ending the day with a glass of wine beside the fire pit down at the beach, you will fall in love with our home just as we have!

Can’t wait to come back!

The house and property were fantastic! The location on the Great Sacandaga Lake was quiet and beautiful. The serene short walk to the lake through the pines, kayaks, canoe, firepit, and ability to dock our rented pontoon added so much fun for the entire family. The large kitchen is full of everything you need, family members commented on the extra comfortable beds, the updated home was extremely well done. It was one of the best vacations our family has ever had, and we can’t wait to rent again in the future.

Wonderfully relaxing

Communication with Katie was seamless. House was beautifully decorated and cozy. Relaxing view of the lake from the house and great area down by the water to take in the views and occasional eagles flying by. House was a bit remote from restaurants and attractions so planning is a must. Loved it!

Fabulous Lake House

This was probably the best vacation house I have ever booked. Katie was the best host....answered all my questions and always responded in a very timely manner. We had three generations (11 people) and the house accommodated everyone perfectly....very spacious open concept. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen...it had everything we needed to prepare meals. We also took advantage of the gas grill :-). They also supplied all the linens and towels and hand soap and toilet paper and paper towels and garbage bags...and many other staples. We enjoyed our time on and by the lake everyday. We brought our own kayaks and paddle boards....but if we hadn't we would have totally taken advantage of the kayaks and canoe available. And that fire pit....great way to spend our evenings with a fire and star gazing...we saw Jupiter appear every night. We had a great family vacation at Katie's lake house.....we're so glad she shared it with us. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you again!!!

Beautiful home on sacandaga. Our family of 7 adults and 3 toddlers had plenty of room to run around! The kitchen was very well stocked and linens were high quality. Just be aware the lake level gets low at the end of august and can be difficult to access for swimming

Clean, quiet and relaxing

Our stay was great and relaxing. The house is located on a quieter end of the lake. Mornings were spent lakeside enjoying coffee and evenings were spent lakeside by a campfire making smores. No one bothered us the entire time we were there. We barely even saw the neighbors. The faster water craft stayed far enough off shore that we could relax in tubes along the swimming area without the sound or much movement from them. We went kayaking a few times and enjoyed to peace abd quiet of the surrounding. Katie was very responsive. The house had everything you could need from towels for showers and lakeside, to board games, flashlights, to cooking utensils and even a decent selection of spices. The only thing we figured out, no fault of the homeowners, was the a lot of the local restaurants, actives, etc. do not open up full time until July. No big deal for us, we just cooked for ourselves but for anyone who wants to eat out everynight you might want to make sure you don't go to this area until after July1st.

Lake Getaway

We recently stayed at the Lakehouse at Sacandaga for a week with 5 children and 4 adults. The house is recently renovated and was very well done. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions. The house was very clean and is right on the lake, which is great if you have a boat (we rented one for a few days) The house is somewhat remote and the lake was very quiet for the week we went, which was perfect for a COVID vacation. However, the house is not too far from Lake Luzene, where we went whitewater rafting, ziplining and did the lazy river which was fun. Overall a great getaway.

Great family holiday!

We had a wonderful Christmas here with the extended family. The *very* well-appointed kitchen was a godsend, as I love to cook for the assembled masses. The yard was home to lots of birds, some squirrels, and we saw deer tracks in the snow. The lake greeted us with expansion cracks in the ice that sounded like thunder - pretty impressive! Lovely home-away-from-home!

Great way to end Summer!

We had a wonderful time at the Lakehouse, the property is spacious and was plenty of room for the 11 of us - adults and kids. We enjoyed playing games on the deck and sitting by the fire at night. Cleanest property we’ve ever stayed in

This is the lake house our family dreams of owning. The quiet cove was wonderful for swimming and using the property owner’s canoe. We sat on the dock enjoying the sun and played in the sandy beach. At night, we enjoyed the fire pit on the lake. We have stayed in numerous rental houses and this one went above and beyond in cleanliness and attention to details. Each bed was tidily made and set with towels. The kitchen was spacious and spotless. The bathrooms were impeccable and we loved the concrete countertop and pebble shower accent. The shuffleboard table was a big hit! We would absolutely return to this property and highly recommend anyone looking to get away to book this property!

Girls get-a-way

First I want to say how great the owners are. When renting, good communication is essential. Our questions were answered quickly and in a friendly manner. The whole process was without any stress. We are a group of 6 ladies, mothers and daughters, that take a few days once a year to get away, relax and have fun. This home provided just that. The very large deck provided areas for everyone to sit and read or take a nap. Inside is spacious, nicely decorated with plenty of seating for everyone. The kitchen is equipped with everything one would need to cook a gourmet meal! We launched a float built for 8 off the dock and enjoyed nightly fires by the water. Needless to say we had a wonderful time and would return again. I highly recommend The Lakehouse.

Why they chose this property

The Great Sacandaga Reservoir is an undiscovered gem in the Adirondack Park. The area has so much to offer, but is quieter than Lake George and Saratoga Lake. It truly feels like you are escaping to another world.

What sold us on this house was the double-sized lot! Once you get to the house, stand on the back deck, and look down to the expansive view of the lake, you feel like you are in a world of your own!
