The River House is your spacious luxury retreat on the banks of the Deschutes, the ideal spot to celebrate life with friends and family. Toast your arrival with an Oregon vintage savored in Adirondack chairs on the deck. Enjoy the blacktail deer grazing nearby on wild grasses. Then explore their footpath to the water’s edge, where floaters and canoeists glide along the currents. If you’re ready for action, grab your clubs or racket, and head to the course and courts just down the road. Then as the sun dips over the National Forest on the river’s far bank, relax into the hot tub and ignite the gas grill. If it’s chilly after supper, build a fire in the two story river rock hearth, and stream a favorite feature on the 65” flat screen. When it’s finally time to call it a night, take a moment to savor the canopy of High Desert starlight before drifting off to sleep. Next morning as you awake, that unforgettable river is right there waiting for you, and over coffee and conversation with friends and family you’ll realize you’ve already gotten started on those memories you came to make.
Your Property On opening the front door you’ll notice how the river theme flows throughout this memorable Northwest retreat. The restful decor is inspired by native shades of lichen, whitewashed timber, warm sunsets, and mineral grays, and the design blends seamlessly with the panorama revealed by floor-to-ceiling windows. Curated art and unique bedding accent every living area, capturing the many moods of life on the water. Children will especially enjoy the whimsical finned and furry creatures found in both twin and bunk bedrooms.
The spacious living room, dining room and kitchen form a ground floor hub for conversation and hospitality. The several bedrooms and bathrooms spread outward and upward from here, providing spaces for relaxation and privacy as multiple generations and friend groups travel together. There are also delightful bonus spaces, such as the open loft for gathering around puzzles and games, and the semi-private suite off the second-floor landing, and the fully outfitted ski room for drying wet gear.

The home was clean and pleasant. We were celebrating a 50th birthday, and it was perfect. Nice location at the end of a loop. The river in the distance was very peaceful to watch. As we were there during the Winter, it was a nice and relaxing getaway.
The mother-in-law quarters was perfect for a teenage son that wanted his own space. :D There was plenty of room, plenty of blankets. We enjoyed the hot tub.
It was a beautiful space and would definitely love to come back in the warmer months.
This is a great house for large groups. We had four adults and five teenagers. It was plenty of room for everyone. The house is beautifully equipped particularly the kitchen which had every device and gadget that we could think of. It is nicely furnished with very comfortable beds. Compared to a lot of rental houses where the hot tub is usually kept at a lower temperature than I like, the tub at this house was a perfect temperature. The location is also very nice, being away from the main bustling activity area of Sunriver but close to the store on the backside. We were very pleased with this accommodation and would rent it again.
The property is great and is situated within 50 yards of the Deschutes River. The 6 mile float down the lazy River was a fun trip. We rented three 6 man rafts for 14 of us and we loaded up with water guns at the marina. The home is situated about half way through the float trip so we pulled in and had lunch. Sparks Lake was a beautiful trip as good as Crater Lake. Smith Rock at sunset was another good pick and rather close by. Our only complaint was the response to a problem with one of the toilets. Apparently the only communication to dispatch someone was the internet and due to an accident in Bend the internet was down.. We also had a difficult time getting household supplies replenished. The home is well kept and beautiful. We had 12 people at the home and 2 stayed at the Sunriver Lodge. Great place to have a family outing!
This was our annual family vacation with our sons, wives and 2 college age grandchildren. Eight in all. They layout of the home was perfect for us. It is a beautiful and comfortable home on the river. We couldn’t have asked for more. The kitchen is equipped to handle anything you have in mind. What you see in the photos is exactly what you get and more. Amazing. Thank you.
