The cabin is situated on a hill above the dirt and gravel road. It’s nestled on a 1+ acre lot amongst the trees on the edge of a babbling brook that comes from higher up in the woods. The covered front porch spans the front of the house and looks out to the southeast where you can experience the sunrise in the early morning. There is a deck that spans the back of the house for a quiet evening relaxing or an early morning cup of coffee. French doors lead out to the deck from the dining room which creates a open air dining space in the warmer months.

House/Cabin was clean and well stocked. Lots of comfortable beds to choose from and the kitchen is well set up for cooking and chatting at the kitchen island. Highly recommend this one!! Excellent accommodations.

Aggie, thanks so much for your feedback! We take a lot of pride in our home away from home and enjoy sharing it with others! Thanks again!

We were there for a Family reunion in a nearby town. Perfect spot for us. Place was beautiful and everything we needed. Would be a great spot for a ski vacation. Mt. Snow was close and some great food nearby. Bob was great with communication.
Our four day stay at the cabin was filled with comfort, relaxation, game playing, hiking and star gazing. Robert’s place was equipped with everything we needed. It fulfilled the rustic getaway vibe my daughters and I were craving this summer.

We had a great time at Linus' Lodge. It was the escape from the normal hustle and bustle we needed. The cabin was in pristine shape with everything we could possibly need and more. The owner provided lots of great information and was available for any issues that arose.

This log house is terrific. Even nicer than the photos! It was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. The house is very well stocked especially the kitchen. Plenty of outdoor furniture to watch the sunrise on the front porch or sit around the fire pit. We will definitely come back. The host was great. Highly recommend!

Thank you Christine! We’re happy you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to have you back again!
The log cabin was everything we hoped for and more. Secluded in the woods and completely private. We had a much needed relaxing long weekend. The kitchen was completely stocked and the host provided all of the wood for our cozy fires. I recommend bringing your own food or food shopping before you check in as it is a remote setting. Would definitely rent again here! 5* rating 🍁
This place really met our needs. 3 overnighters (college roommates in the '70's) and 2 day trippers (college friends). We all agreed that when we get together next year this will be our first choice and try and stay longer.

Very nice, clean and safe. A great place for a families.
The property was just as described and Bob is a wonderful, welcoming and helpful host. His home is so comfortable, love the big kitchen table in addition to the dining room table which made cooking and unpacking so much easier.
We loved everything about our stay! One thing that really stands out is how well stocked and appointed the cabin is - we had everything we needed and more for a very comfortable stay. Communication from Bob was helpful and spot on, we appreciated the clarity as well as the national/state park info, the kiddos loved swimming at Grout Pond. Thanks for a great time!
Beautiful home. Lots of parking. More than enough space for 10 to spread out and do things. We couldn’t get the TV to work, but we brought games to keep ourselves entertained. We had a wonderful week.
The cabin is beautiful. Very clean with clear directions for check out and where everything was in each room of the house. Good sized kitchen and living area, two full bathrooms and a nice back deck with a fire pit. There's a small area on the side that's big enough for lawn games (can jam, kubb). Located about 15 minutes away from a good brewery.
Cell service isn't great but wifi worked perfectly. Bob answered all questions extremely quickly via VRBO/email.
Would definitely recommend!
Pros:
The house is very clean and roomy. Bathrooms feel very new and clean, and has everything you need. There's a lot of space in the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Downstairs has a large bedroom downstairs with queen size bed. Upstairs has two bedrooms with many beds.
Cons:
The noise insulation was not great. I slept in the bedroom downstairs, and had to wait until my friends fell asleep first, because we could easily hear people talking and walking.
It might be nice to visit this place in winter or fall. The living room has stove. Unfortunately we visited there on an extremely hot summer night(It was 99+ during the day). The house didn't have AC, and it was too hot to fall asleep.
Other than that, the place is very nice as listed.

About the host

Why they chose this property
We purchased this property after vacationing in Vermont for about 20 years. We selected this property for its location because it is close to our favorite ski resort (Stratton Mountain) and because it is off the grid (no cell service). We always wanted to find a warm, comfortable log cabin with enough room to enjoy with family and friends. This place fit our exact needs to a "T". Situated on a hill back off the road, our cabin is quiet and relaxing, without being to far from just about any activity you could want.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is conveniently located almost directly between two of the top ski resorts in Vermont, Mount Snow and Stratton Mountain. It's also a short drive to Manchester and other highly sought after destinations.
