Pearl Point was formed thousands of years ago by material from the high ground of Vancouver Island washing into Baynes Sound through Hindoo Creek, forming a fluvial fan.
The freshwater of Hindoo Creek, vantages allowing warning of impending danger from the sea, a mature forest of cedar, Douglas fir and hemlock offering protection from the elements, materials for shelter, boats and clothing along with an abundance of berries, shellfish and finfish, this point has served as home to indigenous people for hundreds of years, evidenced by middens around the property.
We bought this property in 2001 from a family who’d owned it since acquiring deed from the Crown 118 years prior. We built the beach house in 2002 and have enjoyed the privilege of hosting guests from around the world since 2003.
We hope you enjoy Pearl Point, it’s trees, flora and fauna, high and low tides, our resident eagles, shellfish on the beach, occasional orca and humpback whale sightings out front and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from either inside or outside. Please feel free to explore the property and please, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
We hope you give Pearl Point a page in your book of memories.
