Murella is a beautiful stone house set in a national park close to the incredible coastline of the Cinque Terre. In a forest crowning the hill of Montemarcello, the house is in a small dell surrounded by oak trees.
Set in its own private terraced 4 hectares fenced park with a heated swimming pool, this house is in an ideal position for exploring the hill villages and coast of the Cinque Terre, Liguria and Northern Tuscany. It's also the perfect place to return to after your travels and relax under the pergola with a glass of our red natural wine, 'Margot'.
All ground floor rooms have French windows, making the outside pergola and garden part of the everyday use of the house and giving a very summery feel. Walking in from the large pergola one enters an elegantly furnished living-dining room focuses on an ancient fireplace, flanked by the corridor leading to a well-equipped kitchen, with a Smeg fridge and an antique glass cabinet for glasses and plates. From the kitchen a door leads to a bathroom and to a high-ceiling double bedroom, with wood stove and French windows to the garden. The stairs lead up from the kitchen to a half-landing with twin bedroom and bathroom. Further up there is a last double bedroom with ensuite shower-room.
In the garden there is a beautiful heated swimming pool (10 meters * 3 meters) built into the terraced slope. If night temperature does not fall below 22 degrees, solar panels keep this pool at a constant temperature of between 25 and 29 degrees centigrade from the 1st of May to the end of September.
Murella is provided with a cosy and efficient wood stove in the main bedroom and a fully functional fireplace in the living/dining area. Wood logs are provided and free of charge.
We rent two other proprieties 200m from Murella: Pian della Chiesa (host 10) and Concara (host 2/3).
