Location: Suntide II South Padre Island, Texas, USA (25 mi. from Brownsville; 40 mi. from Harlingen & Airports for each)

Accommodations: 2 bedroom, 2 bath, sleeps up to 6 confortably.

Suntide II is a modern, five story building located directly on the beach, a perfect destination for family and friends. Judy's Condo has four rooms comprised of a fully equipped kitchen, dining area,seating for 6; a spacious living room and a master bedroom, with a great view overlooking the Gulf, with a king size bed with newer mattress. The master bath has a recently remodeled dressing area with a new marble vanity; a walk-in closet, and a newly remodeled tiled shower. The guest room has both a new queen size bed & a twin bed. This bedroom has its own full bathroom (tub & shower). Both bedrooms feature flat screen TVs and ceiling fans

The living room and master bedroom have long & wide windows overlooking the beach and Gulf of Mexico affording panoramic views of the waters. There is recently updated furniture in the living room including a matching sofa,(with queen size sleeper), a love seat and swivel rocker. The TV is a new flat screen 40" "Smart TV" with Roku streaming system with free movie channels. There is also a Stero system and DVD player, along with vintage movies for Guest enjoyment.

Our condo offers 1200 square feet of living space and opens to a large covered deck, complete with outdoor chairs and tables; offering a perfect unobstructed view of the Gulf, beach activity, kite boarders and ships sailing through Santiago Pass on their way to the Port of Brownsville. It is a a great setting for a margarita at cocktail hour and an unbelievable setting if there is a full moon rising over the Gulf. Suntide II Offers its a BEACH FRONT swimming pool (which is heated during the winter); a BEACH FRONT hot tub, and a BEACH FRONT enclosed large sun deck, with lounge chairs and tables. You are definitely ON THE BEACH!!!

There are tennis courts outside of our 2nd floor unit; a shared barbecue area and a beach volleyball court installed directly on the beach in front of "Judy's Condo".

Unit #205 is a spacious, fully furnished condo which has been upgraded, with the last major redecoration in 2012, with new tile floors in the living and dining rooms and kitchen. Both bedrooms are carpeted, which we intend to recarpet this Fall. The kitchen has been updated with new appliances, cabinets and tile. Our unit is directly across from the elevators and laundry room on the 2nd floor and which provides easy access to all amenities of Suntide II. We think it is the best location in the building!

We traveled frequently to this area over the years because of family in the Valley and chose to buy property because we were familiar with the area and knew that it was not only the most reasonably priced and affordable beach resort area in the U.S., but also one of the most beautiful and least crowed. You can actually swim in the water, year around without a wet suit! If you live in the "Great Southwest" this is the place to vacation in the hot summer months and let the cool Gulf breeze make the summer more enjoyable.

Great location and everything you need

Towels are scratchy so bring your own bath towel if you're picky. Kitchen stocked with all the utensils and pans, bowls you need. Chair and umbrella rental on beach so convenient. We loved spending mornings and evenings on the balcony watching the surf. Very relaxing.

Loved this place!!

This is the most awesome place from which you can enjoy all that South Padre Island has to offer!! The Suntide II condos were so great! The staff was the absolute best ever from check-in to check-out! You are right on the beach!! Again, all I can say is it was awesome!!!

Very Satisfied

We were made aware that March was spring break month. And several weeks lived up to all the hype and wildness we were led to expect. But we survived. The staff at Suntide II were excellent. Except for one bad night, the staff kept everything under control. The condo itself met all our expectations. It was a great month and we hope to return again.

Totally disappointed

The condo itself was fine, although the carpeting was very stained in the guest bedroom. It had everything you needed for cooking. However, the internet was horrible. We rent and pay to stay on the beach in early spring to enjoy the sea breeze, fresh air and hear the waves crashing. This resort has all of it's windows bracketed which that doesn't allow you to open the windows, and if you prop the door open it's a $200 fine. I have stayed and 30+ beach resorts and have never experienced such a ridiculous rule. Besides that, isn't it a dangerous in the event of an emergency to have windows bracketed shut? Hearing the ocean waves at night is our serenity and why we pay to be on the beach. They said it was because of mold and mildew... really??? Then upgrade your air filtration system to remove the moisture from the air! And beware, always put your deadbolt on, because pest control will walk right in on you.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you were disappointed and that our condo didn't meet your expectations. As I said in our email exchanges, since the master bedroom faces the ocean and is right on the beach, we can clearly hear the ocean though I too miss feeling the breeze before falling asleep. Having the windows locked adheres to safety codes, since the door to the balcony opens. Since no other renters ever mentioned anything about the window, I didn't think about it. Because of your feedback I've now included that in the logistical information I share with potential renters before they book.
