Benvenuti in paradiso! Questa lussuosa casa con aria condizionata e piscina privata sulla spiaggia è una semplice scappatoia da alcuni dei migliori surf in Costa Rica.

La nostra spaziosa casa dispone di tre camere da letto (due camere hanno un letto matrimoniale e un letto matrimoniale in ciascuna, e la master suite ha un letto matrimoniale) e due bagni.

Diversi ristoranti e bar sono una piacevole passeggiata a piedi nudi nella soffice sabbia a nord. Lungo la strada, penserai di essere sulla tua spiaggia privata, con alcuni surfisti sparsi tra le onde. I tramonti sono mozzafiato!

Playa Hermosa ('Bella spiaggia') è una famosa spiaggia per il surf a poche miglia a sud della vivace cittadina balneare di Jaco, che vanta centinaia di ristoranti, negozi, bar, casinò ...

Abbiamo gestori locali per assistervi durante il vostro soggiorno. Cadranno presto nel vostro soggiorno per assicurarsi che tutto sia per la vostra soddisfazione. Everything was wonderful. We had a fantastic time. The rooms were aptly equipped, the communication was efficient, the kitchen had everything we needed, the pool was clean, the outside areas were super pretty and comfortable. It helped that during this stay we had great weather. We were able to see many animals, from a black squirrel to a whale. I would recommend this location 100 times. The ocean is not apt for swimming as it is rough but the beach is wide and we were able to play in the sun and enjoy the ocean's beauty along with the beautiful sky. We hope to go back one day.

Top notch house in Hermosa

Fantastic house for a beach and surf getaway. Close to everything you need yet super quiet neighborhood south of town. Property includes a great private pool onsite to relax after a surf session or whenever. Love this spot and we’ll be back again soon (I hope!).

Great pool

The outdoor area was beautiful and the pool was the highlight of the property. The property manager was amazing and provided great recommendations for things to do on our trip. He was extremely helpful. The house itself was fine although the stovetop burners were difficult to work with so cooking was challenging. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

The house was nice. There are a few things that could be good to know for future occupants. Casa Baracuda is close to the neighbor's which is also a vbro. If there are partiers or have loud kids it will be very aparent. The ocean is very close and the beach is great! Very empty, there were what seemed like permanent signs indicating a RIPTIDE (I went swiming out to where the waves were breaking as i am experenced in the ocean) well i nearly drown as the riptide was very wide and very strong. After an hour of trying to get back to the beach i was saved by a local surfer. The master bedroom in the picture that has the balcony is not accessible. THE PORCH AT THE TOP IS. Through an outside staircase. Only downstairs is where the 3 bedrooms are. the yard is great. There are iguanas that hang out. Coconut trees plenty of shade. Lots of items to use in the kitchen. Games

Beach house getaway

Lovely home with an amazing outdoor space where we could watch iguanas and macaws all day. Just cross the road to the endless beach that was often unoccupied. The owner has really made the house feel homey and has many conveniences for a comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again!

The entire experience at Casa Barracuda was absolutely perfect. The house itself was petfectly comfortable for six. Brian the manager was truly available 24/7 for any issues requiring his assistance. Tropical breezes, gorgeous beach, amazing sunsets around the pool, a well equiped kitchen that met every need, snd really comfy beds were the setting for the petfect stay.

Our yearly getaway

Just the hubby and I, relaxing between work jobs. Loved the property and the area! So much to see even though it rained most of time! The directions were though to follow cause it was dark and raining, thank goodness the security officer helped!! Would love to go back again! Crocodile in the flooded driveway was so exciting to see, Wyo doesn’t have those!😊

Short stay in Playa Hermosa

Property manager was very responsive. The house is great, as advertised etc. we had three days of intense rain and a flooded driveway - no one’s fault- so we left a day early. Owner kindly offered a refund of one night. . Would stay again if in the area, quiet location but close to everything.

Beautiful house on great location

Spent a week in July 2024 with my wife and two teenage kids. The house is beautiful. The location is great (you cross the street and you are on the beach). Jeff, the co-host was extremely helpful in recommending things to do. Overall, great experience.

Kickass surf spot

Property exactly as described. Location is ideal for surfers who want to get away from the main peak and enjoy the same waves with fewer in the water. Local property manager very helpful and ultra-responsive. We'll be back!

Trip of a lifetime!

This was our first time to Costa Rica and WOW, what an experience!! We were well informed on how to get to the property from San Jose, so we had no issues driving. The house itself is stunning and has every amenity you could want. Spacious, clean as a whistle, AC when you need it, perfect size pool, and breathtaking views from the balcony. The property manager was incredibly communicative and helpful, and had fantastic recommendations on things to do, places to eat, and even found someone local to fix my phone! When we weren't relaxing in the pool or having fun in the waves, we were riding horses on the beach, taking waterfall tours, shopping, and eating the most delicious food. There is no doubt we will be back!

Hi, my name is Ron, and I love Costa Rica. Fantastic news as it's now legal for tourists to stay in Costa Rica, up to 6 months, check your airline or Costa Rican consulates for perfect info!
Ron the owner, lives half the time in the beach town Buenaventura, California for a few months then back to Costa Rica. When my beachfront home in Playa Hermosa, (Puntarenas province, not Guanacaste), is rented out, I stay at my other house in Ciudad Colon, 1.5 hours away, that over looks the Virilla river & waterfall, which could soon be available on VRBO.
I enjoy being a host and meeting world travelers, that fall in love with my home and Costa Rica. I love it here, and I'm sure you will too!

Like my rental manager Brian Engstrom (who's lived in CR for over 15 yrs says: "to only be 10 minutes from one of the coolest beach towns anywhere, (which at times gets crowded), but then be able to return to Casa Barracuda's peaceful oasis in Playa Hermosa, is the perfect combo!
Also to be only 1.5hours from the airport SJO, or to the western suburbs of San Jose (like Escazu, Santa Ana, Ciudad Colon) for great shopping, entertainment I like the Jazz Cafe, cooler weather, medical reasons or special events like Wine Tastings, is really the best of both worlds! Come to Costa Rica and see why its so highly rated as best place to retire or to invest & live here parttime.
