Location was great for the experience of being in the heart of downtown Denver
The condo was where in needed to be to enjoy downtown Denver.
The condo needs updating from kitchen utensils, pots and pans to futon.
The carpet needs cleaning.
Also don’t be surprised by the cost of your parking expenses
The location gives you easy access to downtown, 16th Street Mall, and other areas accessible by the RTD system. The bed was comfortable and the overall apartment was just right for 1-2 people.
Property location is great. Owner response is slow. The rest is average.
The location of this property is great. Being in the center of downtown is a major sell of this property. The view from the property is very scenic.
The property itself is average to below average. Immediately you begin to realize there are several rooms with light switches that do not connect to any overhead lighting or lamps. There were some visible water stains in the bedroom by the window. The shower is not ideal for anyone above 5'10. Overall the place is decent, not bad by any means, but lower quality than an average hotel suite.
Owner feedback was poor, I had sent multiple emails throughout the renting process which never recieved any attention. Only until I called and left a voicemail did the owners ever make an effort to contact me.
Luckily, Denver is a great city with plenty to see and do so there is no reason to stay couped up in your rental. I am not sure I would recommend this particular condo for a stay in Denver.
Great Location for Downtown Events
This was our first time using a service like Homeaway. Overall it was very good. When we arrived our keys were waiting for us. There is a 7-11 attached to the building so we were able to grab some snacks. The location was clean and generally well cared for. The best thing about the building is how close it is to everything downtown. You are 1 block away from the outdoor mall and restaurants. 2 blocks from the convention center and about 7 blocks from the baseball stadium.
As for the stay itself, there were extra towels and such in the hallway closet next to the bedroom (we found that out the last day we stayed). The place was very clean. It is starting to show it's age a bit as there was a watermark on the ceiling in the bedroom and the one closet sliding door did not work. But none of that took away from our stay.
There were plates, glasses and silverware in the kitchen, and extra soap in the closet. Hangers in the bedroom closet and we did not feel like we lacked for much. We did not use the TV or cable so I can't comment on that. The WiFi worked well enough, but struggled just a bit streaming HD movies from our movie server at home. (Netflix worked fine however). I ended up having to work a bit from there and the connection was solid all day on our company's VPN so no worries there.
I would stay here again without hesitation.
Perfect location with a flaw
This condo is a great value. When picking out a place to stay in downtown Denver for a few days, I thought we would need a kitchen due to my food allergies. Needless to say, we never used the appliances because we had a hard time finding a grocery store in walking distance and there are so many surrounding restaurants. During the initial booking process, communication from the owners was slow. We had to put in our reservation request twice. Maybe they were busy. A little over a week before we were leaving I hadn't been e-mailed any further instructions on accessing the condo. I emailed the owners and after 4 days of no response I called their home and left a message. The following day I received a response. We had a car our first day in Denver because my husband had a business meeting to attend outside the city. We found a cheap overnight spot to park on Wazee street and walked with our little bit of luggage to the condo. As I said, the condo was in a perfect location. We loved the balcony and the views. The only drawback I saw was it's degree of cleanliness. When staying in a condo or hotel, I expect a certain level or sterility. In my younger years I cleaned condo's, houses and office building so I have a pretty good idea what is required and I don't feel this condo was up to par in that department, mostly in the kitchen. The area rug needed a good vacuum and maybe a shake outside and the front of the oven door seemed to have some residue stuck all over it. We did get a few basics to eat for breakfast and I definitely needed to wash the bowls and silverware before I used them. The silverware drawer also had coffee grains throughout. The bathroom, bedroom and living room seemed clean but my impression from the kitchen left me leary. The lack of complete cleanliness is my biggest reason for 3 stars.
Nice relaxing apartment, very convenient to restaurants and bars, wonderful view from the balcony. I highly recommend it for a couple or solo traveler. We would easily stay here again, we were very pleased. * Note - the flat cab rate from the airport to downtown is $56, so be prepared. Denver is working on public transit which should be available in 2016. *
