Backyard on 14th hole of Golf Course/Dog-friendly

Golf anyone!! This lovely one level, single family home is located in the peaceful, gated retirement community of "Fountain of the Sun". Get front row seats on the patio, to the pristine semi-private 18-hole executive golf course while sipping margaritas and taking in stunning views of the Superstition Mountains. This house is conveniently located on the 14th hole. Also within the gated community you will find a country club with Birdie's Bar and Grill on-site. There is also a fitness center, pickle ball courts, an outdoor pool, and jacuzzi spa all located on beautiful and well-maintained grounds. There is a small fee paid to the Fountain of the Sun Association to use these facilities. There are two bedrooms, two full baths, living room, Arizona room (screened in porch with pull out sofa and twin bed), front porch, back patio, laundry room and garage. Your fury family members are also welcome (but specific restrictions apply - see additional information under pets). There is a two week minimum stay and someone must be at least 55 years of age. There is much to do in the area such as many hiking trails and the Desert Botanical Gardens in nearby Phoenix. Bicycles are available to tool around in the neighborhood or to get you to the country club.

Recent updates of February 2024: new hardwood/vinyl flooring, new garbage disposal and a new refrigerator.

Beautiful spot.

The patio area is on the fairway, visited by doves, quail, bunnies. We loved watching the golfers! The home had everything we needed—comfortable beds, towels, nice sheets. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place to stay

The whole process was very easy with this host. if we were uncertain about anything or had a need, they were quick to respond. The house was set up perfectly for our needs and the location was also excellent. we would stay here again, anytime

Fountain of the Fun Sun

The house we stayed in was great. Very clean, nice view sitting in the back. Right on the 14th fairway. A fun golf course to play. Gated community with security. Nice club house called Birdies.

Nice stay

It was a nice place to stay, very quiet, bonus was they allowed our pet to come with us, toy Pomeranian, she enjoyed being with us. Nice area to walk and golf , felt safe. We would recommend the garbage disposal to be replaced, it did not work. We do look forward to returning.

Thank you Tom. I'm so glad you enjoyed the stay. It is my understanding the garbage disposal issue is common and that when someone is not there for a period of time or people don't use it, it sticks. There is a button under the sink on the garbage disposal toward the back that needs to be pushed in. So hopefully for future renters, this is an easy fix.

Great Location

Several things need to be addressed. The fridge makes a terrible grinding noise. The carpeting throughout needs to be replaced. The beds are very comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

It was great. Just felt like home.

I loved the area, the home was great. I bought a bird seed block at Ace Hardware and set up out back in gravel in a table and board. It brought in 30+ Quail and many other birds, but the best was the Love birds that came in every day. Neighbors are great, the lady next did have me many navel oranges that had to be the best I've ever had. All in all, great stay. Thanks Joyce!

Golf course view

Wish we could have used the dog parks with grass. Told they were only for owners. Coyotes made us nervous. Showers were not great. Had to reef on the knobs to get them on , then barely warm water. Otherwise bed was comfy and enjoyed the pool.

Mesa house

The house is really nice, I think the carpet needs to be changed. The front porch & back patio were ver messy, I had to sweep the patio before we could sit on it. The outside carpets blown out of place. The rocks holding them down had moved, better just to remove them completely, it would look better & be easier to clean. The rocks are a pain I tripped on one & my sister stubbed her toe on one. The house is lovely other than these things.

Thank you for your feedback. We try and keep the outside porch and patio clean but when it is windy we find that is an endless battle. We really appreciate your feedback on the rocks that we use to hold down the outdoor rugs. We will remove those and find another solution. I think for now we will just roll the rugs which will hopefully make cleaning and sweeping much easier as well.

Golf ⛳️

A very comfortable home situated on a golf course in a 55plus community. More like 80 plus! So very quiet! Wonderful club house with very good food and drinks 🍸. Nice driving range on real grass. 18hole couse is short but is fun and cheap. Our 🐕 liked it but had to walk on the roads(had a marked trail). But some people didn't like dogs and had anti-pooping signs out. We walked our dog also on an area behind the house but not on the course. No one seemed to mind, but I'm sure the HOA might be concerned? Overall, the owner was great! And the property pleasant. Plan on going back next year if available! Mitch.

Fun in the Sun

We had a wonderful time. The home was nice, beds were comfortable, and had everything we could possibly want or need during our stay. We enjoyed watching golfers during our morning coffee on the back patio. The only 3 suggestions I would recommend is, 1. Tear out the carpeting and replace with tile flooring. The carpet is dirty and the caret tacks draw blood when you step on them. Avoid stepping on edges of carpet. 2. Replace the garbage disposal. Since the dishwasher drains into the garbage disposal and the garbage disposal doesn't work, the drain back up into the sink. I would avoid using the dishwasher until the disposal is repaired or replaced. 3. The refrigerator is old and doesn't stay cold. Only buy enough groceries for a day or two otherwise, milk and meat will spoil within a few days. Other than that, we had a great time and will definitely book again. Joyce is a wonderful host!

We are planning on redoing the flooring but probably not until this Spring 2024 because it is solidly booked with renters. I appreciate the information about the refrigerator and the garbage disposal. We will also replace those as well. I am sorry the food spoiled and didn't stay cold enough for your stay.

We loved our stay in Fountain of the Sun. FOS is a great community with many activities to keep you busy. It's close to everything - restaurants, shopping, theatres, etc. The house was perfect for us. It had everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay there again if it was available. Our host was very easy to communicate with. It was a nice "home away from home."

We have owned this property for a couple years after inheriting it from my father. We, (myself Joyce and my aunt Arleen). Both of us enjoy visiting it with our families and spending time in AZ when we are not busy with our lives in Minnesota. We particularly enjoy hiking the many trail systems through AZ and golfing.
