A rare property right on 6th Street in the heart of the West End! 2 bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, plus a twin daybed in the living area. The front patio is private, overlooking 6th Street with seating and lighting. A fully stocked kitchen and breakfast area make it easy to entertain and cook your own meals. The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer and everything is provided to do laundry. Easy parking. Bathrooms and kitchen are newly updated, beautiful hardwood floors, lots of light and located in the coolest neighborhood in the Live Music Capitol. Walk to bars and restauarants, Whole Foods, Waterloo Records, boutique shopping, Auditorium Shores (ACL), Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail and Zilker Park.

SX oasis

We stayed at the bungalow during the SXSW festival. In addition to being adorable, it was just far enough away from the action to provide a quiet haven in the evenings, and just close enough to be very convenient. Kay was incredibly attentive and provided every accommodation we could possibly have needed. We really enjoyed our stay!

Very Aptly Named Property

Our second stay at Happy House was just as lovely and fun as the first! What a perfect spot to introduce our friends to the Austin vibe! Kay is a penultimate host - exceptionally responsive and also thoughtful in her choice of decoration and appointments. We happily anticipate our third stay at Happy House this May!

This is Austin at its finest

Kay's home is what Austin is all about! Retro, comfortable and charming with everything a visitor could want. Excellent communication from Kay in advance with detailed check in and parking instructions. The home is conveniently located to make our way around Austin. Fun restaurants, Whole Foods, and shopping all within walking distance. Definitely a home to return to when visiting Austin in the future.

Perfect Location and Wonderful Property

This is the perfect location for visiting the heart of Austin. Everything you need is either within walking distance or short drive to restaurants, bars, or shopping. The property itself is perfectly set up with two bedrooms and full baths and an additional daybed in the living room. The unit is fully outfitted with towels in the bathrooms and very well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Our host was nothing short of amazing. Our enjoyment and satisfaction were her first priorities. Thank you for a wonderful weekend in Austin!

Charming House in a Fantastic Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Austin. We arrived on the later side due to flight delays, however owner Kay was very responsive and accommodating. Location is walkable to many areas of Austin, as well as food& beverage options, and if you consider yourself active, you can walk over to the hike and bike path which was a nice way to get some movement in after long travels.

Cute bungalow within walking distance to some great Austin delights

Four friends on a vacation. Host was excellent and very responsive. The whole experience was great, and the only reason it did not receive a fifth star on location was the traffic noise was a little much at times. Bring earplugs or white noise to cancel the sounds. Otherwise, cannot recommend this place enough.

Perfect way to experience all Austin has to offer

We used this perfect bungalow as our home base while exploring Austin. The location is amazing, the home is extremely comfortable and clean, and the host is responsive and kind. We will definitely recommend this spot to friends and family, and we hope to return soon!

Great for a girls' weekend

This purple house was the ideal location and size for a few friends to get together in Austin for a long weekend. While it's a bit of a walk to downtown, it's certainly doable. However, the house is quite close to Whole Foods, which was convenient for grabbing snacks and drinks! The front bedroom may not be ideal for someone not accustomed to road noise, but the back bedroom is much quieter. (And such comfortable pillows!) I would definitely stay here again.

Very Cute House in Cool Neighborhood

Kay has a very cute bungalow house. It is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, galleries and clubs. The furnishings and decorations in the house are chic and hip with a nice homey bohemian vibe. We had an excellent Austin experience staying here.

Perfect Austin cottage

Stayed three days with friends for ACL. Comfy beds and perfect location for our needs. Kay was a great host--would definitely stay here again.

Lil happy place for us too!

Such a cute lil place! The location was convenient for all things Austin has to offer. Felt right at home, from my sweet tooth to my morning shower . Crunch bars and Aveda, why say more? Thank you Kay

Peaceful gem in the heart of Texas

We can’t say enough positive things about this property. Located nearly in the geographic middle of Austin, it is charming old house, very nicely furnished and decorated. Check-in was a breeze and the owner was available for any questions. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

Perfect girls weekend

We had a wonderful time in our little purple house. Kay was very hospitable. She left a cup full of candy for us which we appreciated and was a nice touch. The house was so cute and beds were very comfortable. The location was wonderful with a couple of cute restaurants across the street. We went to Donn's Depot one night and had a great time!! Definitely would recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Austin!

Happy Texas Home

The Happy House really felt like a home. From the time we unlocked the door to the time we checked out, everything felt like we lived there. Our host made sure we were comfortable with everything. We had access to an ironing board, wine opener, and even extra blankets for a movie night. I could not recommend The Happy House more when visiting Austin, Texas.

Great location and host

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, as well. Our host could not have been better. We will definitely stay here on our next visit.

Great indoor, outdoor living space.

We enjoyed the quaint home with great indoor outdoor living space. The house is set up perfectly for two couples or families with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Happy @ The Happy House‼️

This Bungalow is beautiful. Four of my friends and I enjoyed the 4 nights and ease of Uber was awesome as well. Walking distance to many places if you like the Heat of TX. Kay and her daughter Natalie are so kind and helpful and booking and communication and instructions were easy. If I come back to Austin?, I will definitely stay there again😊 5 stars all the way‼️

What a wonderful find! Happy House is extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated to reflect Austin culture, and thoughtfully appointed. Kay is a model host - responsive and friendly. We were so taken with the property that we booked a second stay as we were leaving.

The Happy House location just cannot be beat. You can literally walk to anything fun or interesting you want to do. This neighborhood is sweet and easy to navigate and the house is super cute and well laid out. There is plenty of room and it's very comfortable, I have provided everything I can think of and constantly strive to improve.
