Lake Marion country has something for everyone. Our lakefront cottage is located on the beautiful 1100 acre impounded waters of Church Branch just across the causeway to the Big Lake. Church Branch offers a paradise for kayaking, waterskiing, knee boarding, jet skiing and nature watching. Large bass, bream, catfish and crappy can be caught right off the dock. Alex Harvin boat landing for access to the open waters of Lake Marion is just 5 minutes away. You can bike or walk to the Santee Dam (Randolph's Landing is located at the foot of the Dam) and ride or walk on top of the Dam. There are several locally run restaurants nearby and day trips to Charleston, Columbia, or the beaches are ever so easy for a change of pace.
If you are an early riser, you'll enjoy the sunrises from the screened-in porch overlooking the lake. In the afternoon, you'll relax on the dock in the shade of the oak trees sipping on your favorite beverage and enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.
This house is located near Randolf’s Landing and Fayz at the Lake on highway 260.

Needed a home base while visiting family and these accommodations worked great. Room for grandkids to stay with us a few nights and the view of the lake is great.Only neg. for us, the beds aren't comfortable and the pots and pans aren't great for cooking with. So I poached my eggs every morning to avoid sticking.
Location & lake were what we wanted. However, things weren't as we thought they should be. Toilets needed upgraded as seat was broken in one, in the master, toilet insides needed replaced as they were plastic & can't hold up well. Steps to the dock & dock itself needed work. View was great & loved the screened porch. Grill had no propane. Cottage itself was cute but improvements were needed on what's in it. I consider this a fishing cottage.
Expected more as from the info on site.
Loved our stay in this idyllic setting. The home was exactly as described in listing. Property manager gave clear instructions for checking in and expectations of guests during stay. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife and wish we would have scheduled more time to spend on the lake!
Perfect location on the lake. The kids enjoyed the dock and swimming almost every day. Easy drives to Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Very clean inside, and there were some towels so we didn’t really need to bring our own. I’m not thing we had to get was paper towels and toilet paper (ur family of 5 ran out). There were tiny sugar ants near most windows, and they got all in the car each day too but that’s to be expected in a wooded area by the lake. We enjoyed our time!
Enjoyed our stay at the lake cottage. House was clean and pier allowed us to fish when we wanted. 1.5 hours from Charleston, also near other attractions such as Swan lake, Cypress Gardens and Mepkin Abbey. Bring some bag chairs if you want to sit at the pier. Enjoyed sitting in the porch drinking coffee in the morning looking at the lake and the wildlife.
Great little spot to enjoy the 4th of July with Family!
This property was great, we have family in Manning so they were able to bring their 5, and almost 2 year old over to hang out. We enjoyed some time in the lake, and the screened in porch was the place to be even in the heat. They have a grill that works great, so we had a nice little cookout on the 4th! We will definitely be staying again!
We loved the serenity of this lakefront rental. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed our meals on the screen porch overlooking the water. We brought our lawn chairs and liked to sit on the private dock, enjoying the cool breeze and watching the geese and turtles swim by.
The cottage appears to be mostly renovated and was spotlessly clean. Furniture and beds were comfortable
We went to SwanLake Iris Garden about 40 minutes away and saw 8 different varieties of swans. Also liked Cypress Gardens about an hour drive from the cottage
We rented this house to 1) go fishing, and 2) celebrate my FIL's 70th birthday. Everyone enjoyed their time there. The private dock was a major plus for us. We didn't have to put our boat in and out of the water every time we wanted to go out. The parents enjoyed sitting on the dock and reading/watching the birds. We did notice several small to medium alligators in the branch, so not a good spot for swimming. Also, the branch is separated from the lake by a road- no bridge. The house itself is very nice- nothing huge but there was enough beds and space for my Husband, myself, our 1 year old and 11 year old, and my parents-in-law.
Relaxing , loved the screened in porch and the view!
Enjoyed the fireworks, home was adequate , very peaceful!

Very nice. Location is great!
Pros: We enjoyed this property very much. It is in a great location, convenient to golf, restaurants, Walmart, bait shops etc. Very quiet, traffic on the lake was no where near as busy as it is on the big lake which is what we wanted.
Cons: House could use some attention to cleaning, fixtures somewhat dusty. Microwave should be replaced. Linens need to be replaced. Towels and dish towels had stains. Dock light was out, so you could not enjoy it at night.
Overall we would stay here again. Debbie Bragg, Guyton GA

lake house
Wonderful large screened deck with ceiling fan that overlooks the lake. Lovely view. House was adequate, but needs a good cleaning. Refrigerator was dirty inside and out; heavy dust on ceiling fan and wall hangings. Was able to use the grill once to heat some smoked sausage on the gas grill slowly while the gas ran out. House needs to be stocked with what guests need before their visit. We enjoyed being there, so the "not really" is not what I would want to say, but I can't say we loved it either. It would be fine if they took more care in cleaning and stocking.

Great place for a quiet getaway.
Nothing but good things to say about this property. The house was clean, and had a great screened in back porch with an open deck attached. Very quiet location and great view of the water. Fishing was good off of the pier. Tackle shop was only 5 minutes away and had most necessities you may need. Also had a restaurant close by. Would recommend this if you want to get away and have a quiet getaway/

Perfect Vacation gateway!!!
We just stay at this wonderful house for 4 nights and LOVED it! The house was perfect for our family. The decor was charming. The house has everything needed: 3 bedrooms with a lot of space, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen with all amendities needed. The dining room table is large enought for 6-8 persons. The living room was spacious and very comfortable. We felt really like at home. The large screened-in deck is lovely and the large fan help cool down from the heat of summer. We used the BBQ right off the deck. It was our daughter first fishing adventure, and she really loved it. The deck is right off a path down from the house. Our kids also enjoyed the swing and the relaxing hammock under the shades.
Overall we were so fortunate to find this rental property and a very reasonable rate!!!
I cant wait to return!!!

Good place to get away fr...
Good place to get away from everything.20 mile roung trip tp Manning, bring your food and drinks,no fast food here, good dock for water toys. After dark, the boats come in and it gets quiet, real quiet.House is comfortable, kitchen is laid out nice.Just a slow laid back place, nobody gets in a hurry for anything.Be sure and watch speed limits.Big screeened porch, perfect to watch the water toys or just watch the sun rise over the water, gas grill on outside deck.If you want to rest and do nothing, this is the place.Verizon cell doesn't work, have to go 5 miles up 260 to find sig,AT&T does work..Local stores have usual stuff, worms ice adult beverages no major supplies.Manning has the wal mart McD,BK,KFC,Hardees,Arbys,Piggly Wiggly,IGA.Lots of side roads to look at houses for sale in area..Go to unpack, miss the porch..
