Beacher's Lodge Studio Suite Plus with onsite Front Desk and Staff

This 2nd Floor Studio Plus is the only one of it's kind. This condo happens to have the largest balcony on the property, it's just not directly oceanfront. When you are enjoying the open air of the large wooden balcony, you will over look the beach parking lot and you can still see the horizon of the ocean off in the distance. This spacious suite has a large comfortable Serta King Mattress. In the closet there is an additional single size roll-away bed. The sleeper sofa is great for snuggling up and watching a movie on the 48" Flat Screen TV. This condo owner pays for popular programming for the television (same channel line up as before 10/2023). This suite has the full kitchen with granite counter tops, stove with oven and large refrigerator. The bathroom has the tub, vanity, toilet and tile. We think this spacious Studio efficiency is the perfect spot for a couple or small family. NO PETS ALLOWED
Minimum age to rent is 21 years old
Notes: The 2nd Floor Studios can not be reached by the elevators on the property, you must take stairs to get to the 2nd Floor. This condo is non-smoking, however the complex's designated smoking area is near by on the ground level.

nice condo- but wouldnā€™t have a family bigger than 4 stay

We stayed for about a week in the condo. Itā€™s on the opposite side from the entrance to the pool and beach. So thereā€™s a trek down a set of stairs, up another set across the lot and then down the length of the building to beach/pool. The laundry and the ice Machine are on the 2nd and 3rd floors closest to this unit. Laundry is 2 per washing and 2 for drying. The dryer is mediocre and wouldā€™ve taken another cycle to properly dry the load that we washed but we didnā€™t want to pay another 2. The condo didnā€™t have any potholders to remove pans from the oven or a spatula- so we had to purchase as we didnā€™t bring our own. The balcony faces the parking lot of the building next to you and there is the pet walk and smoking section right beneath. Had Iā€™d known this prior to booking I wouldn't have chosen it as Iā€™m currently pregnant and have two small children. So we were limited on the balcony time as there were frequent smokers. I went To confirm what we needed to have done before we departed- clean dishes and gather trash. Everyday of our stay we had housekeeping knock on our door and provide fresh towels and took the trash. We were gone early Saturday and housekeeping had not come- which isnā€™t a problem except we wanted fresh towels and didnā€™t know where to put the trash. The woman at the desk was a little put off when I asked If we could get more towels and asked about the trash. The lady that did help me informed me that the lady didnā€™t know housekeeping came to take trash

This one was not quite as well stocked, but had a bigger kitchen, couch, and table. Wasnā€™t on oceanfront side, but we had a pretty view of it from a nice deck. Housekeeping took great care of us. Close to convenience stores and a couple of food options.

Reviewer Comments: Strong and suffocating mold with a smoking lounge beneath the outside deck which drifts up when you to escape the mold. Only because we arrived late and had no alternative did we even sleep in room one night. We all woke up sick, sneezing and having reactions due to mold and smoke. They moved us to another room the next day with no refund for room.

The unit was exactly as it was described. Very clean when we arrived, and the full-size kitchen was amazing. Loved the little bench area for eating and the balcony was great to drink morning coffee on and play cards at night. The shower is a little outdated but everything else was great. Would stay here again!

Last time amazing, this time awful...

I stayed at the Beacher's Lodge several years ago, and the "room" I got was a full-sized one bedroom condo with a full kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom. It was modern, beautifully appointed, with sliding glass doors that opened right onto the beach. It was amazing. On the most recent stay, I made reservations that cost a LOT of money per night (VRBO will not allow me to show the dollar amounts paid!) and non-refundable because of a Daytona Beach event, but I paid the high price thinking that I was going to get similar accommodations as my previous stay at that cost. Boy, was I wrong on that one. The room was old and cramped, with a refrigerator that had rust on the outside of it, a toaster that didn't work, and an air conditioner that cooled the room but did not control humidity, so the tile floor always remained damp. The bathroom sink had a small leak in a pipe, so water dripped on the floor in front of the sink. The room quality reminded me of the type of room you would get at a no-name hotel on a rural highway. You know, I'm not the type to give bad reviews. I know that people have to make a living, and I sympathize with that, but I really liked this place the last time I stayed there, and this time was a real letdown. It will certainly affect any decision to consider staying there in the future.

The main issue I had was with the pull out sofa. While my kids slept on it, it's definitely broken. I called the lobby and maintenance came up to our room but couldn't fix it. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant, the location was wonderful and we would come back again :)

The beach is beautiful, the pool was great for swimming laps each day, the room was very adequate for our needs and the deck with rocking chairs was a nice place to spend our evenings. Only complaint was that the bathroom door was a little ā€œwonkyā€, but everything else was very nice. Jill, in the office, was a rockstar at figuring out a way for us to stay an extra day when we requested it because of a dangerous weather front we would have had to drive in if we had left the day we had planned. We are so grateful for her help with that situation and, consequently, had a safe drive back to Michigan.
