If you plan to rent or bring a boat, please let us know in advance. Our dock has bumpers and cleats for pontoons/deck/bass boats. Please note - the water level off our dock ranges from 40 to 42 inches deep, so please factor this in.

MAIN LEVEL
Enter the main level of the house to a well appointed and spacious kitchen with a breakfast bar and direct access to a large screened in porch overlooking Lake Gaston. The attached dining room and drop down living room have great scenic view as well. Step outside from the living room to the sundeck with a grill...or stay inside and relax in front of the floor to ceiling stone fireplace. This level also has a large selection of board games and puzzles available to play with family and friends. The large main floor bedroom has a king sized bed and connects to a full bath. A laundry room and pantry can also be found on this level.

UPPER LEVEL
The upper level offers two additional bedrooms and a shared full bath. Bedroom one has a full bed and the second bedroom has a queen sized bed and a deck with seating and beautiful lake views. A small loft workspace overlooks the living room below.

LOWER LEVEL
The lower level includes a bunk room and great room. The great room has a foosball table and pool table with a ping pong table conversion top, as well as, a 65" big screen tv with an Xbox 360 game system and controllers. The bunk room comfortably sleeps six with one full bed, three twin beds and a trundle. The lower level also has a full bath with a walk in shower. The covered outdoor patio off this level leads to a flat lakeside yard perfect for corn hole, croquet or a backyard firepit with s’mores.

There is also a second refrigerator/freezer located in the garage.

Explore the lake and it's surrounding area...rent a jet ski, check out a local restaurant, hike, take a wake board lesson or visit one of our local vineyards. We are proud to have been rated as a VRBO Premier Host and look forward to having your enjoy our wonderful house. Live, Love, Lake!

NOTE: This property features 4 exterior security cameras, of which the following 3 are not active during guest stays (facing the shed, facing the main door, and facing the lawn). One of the 4 cameras (facing the long driveway) is active at all times. None of these cameras face interior spaces.

The pros: the house is gorgeous and has plenty of space for a family. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need including spices, cooking spray, first aid supplies, hand soap in the bathrooms, a welcome bag of coffee, ziploc bags and trash bags! There are tons of games and puzzles to entertain on a rainy day. The screened in porch is nice. The yard is fairly level.Things I wish we had known- the water is very, very shallow. It’s more like 24-36 inches with a foot of slimy mud. If you had visions of jumping off the dock that isn’t happening. On our visit the dock ladder was rusted out and my son’s foot went through it on Saturday night (our first night) and unfortunately a new ladder was not available during our stay. This made getting in and out of the water very difficult unless you wanted to walk through the mud. The neighbors are weekend lake house people and very territorial about the water and being in the way of their boat getting in and out. The house had just had the exterminator in and there were huge dead bugs that looked like roaches but I don’t think they were all over the house. The basement had lots of little flies, daddy long legs and a spider so big we named him tarantula. I didn’t mention the bugs to the owners until we left in their defense. Overall we had a nice time boating on the lake which was fairly empty and spending time together.

Thoughtfully equipped house for a quiet family getaway

We loved our stay here. The house feels lived in not just rented out. It’s a remote area so we were grateful for the full kitchen (dishes, incl kids dishes, plus cooking equipment and grilling utensils) and plenty of fun board games. With a mix of kids’ ages (1-7) we felt at home in this house. Easy communication. The screened sunroom is awesome. I could imagine staying here in summer or winter and being very happy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Peaceful, Relaxing & Spacious

What a wonderful place to stay. For being on the main lake, the small cove is just enough to keep the water calm. Very quiet and peaceful! We thoroughly loved our whole week we were there. Thank you Sharon for letting us borrow your beautiful home for our vacation! We will always remember all the good times and memories we made!

Amazing Lake Home!!

This home was above and beyond our expectations! Beautifully located right on the lake. The home is well stocked with everything anyone could ever need! We enjoyed putting together puzzles as a family, kayaking on the lake, fishing and we all greatly improved our ping pong game. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

Relaxing and peaceful lakefront home

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful lakefront property. The house was well-stocked with many amenities. We felt very comfortable here. The sunrises were amazing and we loved the wildlife - deer, lots of birds, and early morning otters. Coffee on the screened porch every morning was the best! We enjoyed taking the kayaks out in the cove, too. We loved a little taste of lake life! We will definitely be back.

A Most Relaxing Lake Vacation

We had a lovely relaxing week at this lake house. It was a super quiet lake and neighborhood and the house came with plenty of toys (kayaks, fishing gear, floats, fire pit, pool table goose ball table, exercise equipment, games, books, etc) so everyone could enjoy the fun. Deer brought their babies by every evening to feed and the sunrises were spectacular.

Wonderful week at the lake

I have been renting from VBRO for years in different locations and this house had EVERYTHING you could ever think of....from beach towels, wine openers, shower supplies to s'more sticks to use. Communication with the owner was phenomenal. My parents, sister and her kids, and my kid and I had a relaxing time.

Lake House stay

We enjoyed the house, it was beautiful. The view of the lake was breathtaking and the bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen and pantry was filled with anything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable. I planned to fish while at the house, but fishing from the boat dock was a little difficult for throwing your line. The tv's were not easy to figure out because we were not familiar with ROKU. Overall, we loved the house and did not want to leave the peace and quiet!

Lake stay

We had a great time the amenities were great, pool table, corn hole and kayaks and the ease of contacting owners with questions or concerns. The only down side was the limited internet connections but that did not deter a great week

Loved it, very beautiful & peaceful area. Owner very fast to respond to any questions, gave some info on surrounding areas, house was awesome, very spotless inside the outside & screen porch could use a good spray down. But over all would definitely stay there again.. Highly recommend this house.

Incredible views ---lots of windows

Only six of our family made it to our vacation getaway (ages ranging 80s down to 20s) but I assure you there was plenty of room for more. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch and out on the lake in our kayaks but there was a large family room downstairs that I would think would be used by younger families. The views of the lake were the best we've seen. You could literally see the lake from almost every room in the house. We saw deer, herons, osprey and bluebirds daily. The house was also well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. We hope to return for another relaxing getaway in the future. A big thanks to Sharon for answering all of our questions before and during our stay.

Amazing Lake Gaston property

My family stayed at this property for Thanksgiving week (Nov 2021). It is an absolutely stunning property. The kitchen is heavily stocked for cooking and entertaining. The property owners are wonderful to communicate with, they communicated everything to us and stayed in touch to make sure we were doing okay. The home has a wonderful view of Lake Gaston, just off a little cove. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. We rented a boat but the cold weather didn't allow us to take in all the beauty that Lake Gaston has to offer. We did make a day trip over to the Kerr Lake hydroelectric dam and walked the beaches there (highly recommend). The home has room for adults and kids to spread out in. We enjoyed afternoon fires with marshmallows and evenings playing Foosball, Billards, and watching movies. The basement is a kid friendly layer with double bunk beds and lots of games to entertain. We are looking forward to renting this property again over the summer to enjoy all the beauty of Lake Gaston. Thanks Carl and Sharon for a wonderful week!

Peaceful lake view and RESPONSIVE owners

We had SUCH a lovely time...the most relaxed I have been in many years...house is lovely, well-appointed kitchen...was a little chilly at night, Hosts ordered us 4 new blankets which arrived the next day...the most positive conversation I have EVER had with Hosts...they were VERY kind and responsive...we used kayaks and felt very comfortable with all amenities...we would go again in a moment!

Relaxing Lake Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Lakeside home. It was very clean and well appointed. The owners have provided many activities for renters. The screen porch provides beauty and peace throughout the day! The owner was very responsive to any questions we had! This is a gem!

Wonderful lake home, beautiful lake view and great amenities

We love Lake Gaston and renting with an easy and short access to the dock is exceptional at this home. No big climbs and stairs here. Sharon and Carl offer a lovely and well appointed home. The furniture and beds were quite comfortable and we all loved the diverse set of games including pool, ping-pong, foozball, video games and board games. All 3 kayaks are in great condition and lots of fun. They also provide numerous fishing poles and a well stocked tacklebox. Nice touch! And, while the weather was a bit on the hot side, we all loved relaxing on the big screen porch in the early morning hours and getting ready for the day. Highly recommended!
