Crystal Villas 6A is a beautifully updated second-floor beachfront condo in the serene Crystal Beach area of Destin. This one-bedroom, one-bath retreat comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests with a King bed, a set of cozy built-in bunks, and a sleeper sofa in the living area. Upon arrival condo bathroom was missing a shower curtain and the den drapes cover the two glass doors were missing. The one couch in the living area had large seat cushion stains. The bathroom door was off the hinges at the top and did not close and the tub drain was completely removed. The kitchen had a drawer facing which was not secure and hanging down. Two large spots in the kitchen floor separated from the vinyl planks. All these items were reported at check in and photos were provided. The rental company stated that the property management had been contacted. They even went as far as to inform us that property management was due to come upon two occasions. The only item which was remedied was the couch was steam cleaned on the third day of our stay which due to drying time made it unusable for the remainder of our stay. I caution potential renters regarding this property in its current condition. I will not use Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals in the future.

The balcony was perfect for watching the sunrise and the sunset. The view was gorgeous. We did have noise from the unit above us with kids jumping and running around. Otherwise it was a wonderful relaxing vacation.

The beach view is amazing! The location is wonderful. It felt secluded but you could still walk places in 10-20 minutes. And of course lots of places to drive as well.The chairs and umbrella set up was super nice and made our stay even more enjoyable. The beach was wonderful and not crowded in October.It could use just a little sprucing up as it is showing some wear and tear, but nothing major.
The view from the balcony was perfect.

We had a blast. Everything that you needed or wanted was in this condo. The view was amazing. The only thing was the tv in the living room had a code on it n it wld not work even if you had the code. We didn't let that ruin anything tho. But overall we wld rent this condo again.

This condo needs lots of work! Had to call about Mold on the bathroom ceiling that they came promptly came and covered with a remediation. Lots of dirt around the air vents on the ceiling. 2 inch cockroach in the bathroom still alive one morning, they said condo was sprayed the week prior. Guest bathroom toilet ran all the time. Lots of dust on doors and lamps. No replaced lightbulbs in the kitchen. Carbon monoxide detector had old battery so it went off during the night. I was able to reach management on all complaints but was offered zero money compensation, minus the 5 for a new battery for the detector. The good…balcony furniture nice, used it the most! Thankfully, the view of the sand and the sound of the ocean never fail to calm the soul! 25 years traveling to Destin…this condo is the first fail!

Great location. Loved the private beach. Was a little disappointed in the condo as we felt like we paid too much for what it was. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and what looked to be vent issues/leaks. The place was pretty clean overall, the hosts were great, and the property manager was great.

Beautiful views with easy access to beach. Pool was great. Sofa and mattress are worn out and need replacing. Warped floorboards in hallway. Large Black and brown stain on ceiling in the bathroom. Socks were black from walking on the floor. Rusted metal basket next to shower needs to be removed since it is in the way of the washing machine and dryer and getting in and out of the shower. Again amazing views and location just needs some maintenance!

General Disappointment of unit condition to-price paid

Communications with the property manager were great, but the unit was not in condition as the pictures advertise. I should not be paying the price I paid for what I discovered only after opening the front door. Some discoveries by me:1. Sweeper broken, two pans of sand swept with broom2. Condensation in one bathroom ceiling dripping water at the vent from evening till morning and ceiling wet3. Paint peeling on living room ceiling4. Dining table finish coming apart with sawdust when wiped5. Loose kitchen faucet movement hot/cold6. Faucet in one bathroom has to be set just right or it drips7. Dryer door latch would not stay closed8. Lint filter not working; if drying clothes after towels, all the towel lint sticks to clothes9. Hall floor warps when light mopping10. We could feel sand in the bed sheetsOverall, I liked the unit location, access to the beach, umbrella & chairs service and the pool. However, the disappointment of my unit condition really ruined the experience I expected for my family. One good thing; after calling the property manager regarding the sweeper not picking up sand, they sent someone over the next day with a brand new one. Downside, we filled it two times in 15 minutes with sand from the living room carpet and floor. I don't know about their other units in the complex, but I know that I can't recommend this location to anyone.

Beautiful Beach!

The beach and chair service are wonderful, and communication with the property manager is excellent. However, the condo itself feels quite dated and cluttered. The kitchen is well equipped. Additionally, be aware that you need to bring your own essentials, such as hand soap, salt & pepper, beach towels. Given the price it was decent and we loved the beach!
