Cabin-style house was much larger than it looked like from the outside. Kitchen is well stocked and we loved that there were multiple outdoor places to hang out: large back deck, lower deck with hot tub, front area with fire pit! Host provided directions before we arrived and checked up on us during our stay. Cabin is close to main area of Pigeon Forge, but is tucked away so that it is very private and makes you feel like you are miles away in the woods.

Location was great. Trying to find in the dark was somewhat difficult. A lot of effort to feel like grandmas house, but, for me, this was all canceled when I followed the instructions at the end of stay to remove pillow cases and sheets and stumbled upon bodily fluids (the red one, the one between men and women, and the one when someone gets hot.) Tried to work it out directly with host with a 50% split of the stay after two of my children and myself slept on this for 2 nights. This was denied and a significantly reduced value with a 15% off future stay was offered. I felt insulted. My child face was on one of the occurrences and my other child laid on a different one. This spanned 2 beds and 4 pillows. I understand mistakes happen but this one is a pretty serious oops spanning 2 rooms. VRBO states they won't do anything because stay is over and need to work it out with host. Host repeatedly apologized and stated first time event. After having to go through VRBO, my original offer seems okay to host, but at this point, I am done with the experience. Never again for me.

I wish I could give them a 10 star review. It was a fantastic stay. The cabin was perfect. Clean, location was great, has all the necessities as well. Owners communicated in advance, also checked in during the stay and even allowed us to have a later checkout since we had an activity scheduled that day. I 100% recommend staying here and I plan to do so again.

Perfect location for all the action and yet a center of calm and relaxing atmosphere. I will rent this place again. We enjoyed the game room, hot tub, and fire pit.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at Firefly Hollow. Location is very close to everything in Pigeon Forge. The road up to the cabin is a little steep and windy but it doesn’t take long and there is no traffic on the road up. It makes you feel like you are in the heart of the mountains but literally are 3 minutes away from the parkway. The cabin was a good size for our family of 4 and we enjoyed the game room and hot tub. Stan was very responsive when I reached out to him. My only complaint was the dishes were not very clean. We found quite a few bowls, plates and glasses that required washing before use so we just washed and reused the same dishes during our stay.

Fun stay at a great location!

Just had our granddaughter and daughter in law for their first trip to the Smokies. Firefly Cove was the perfect location for all of the activities in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg as well as the GSMNP. Easy to find, just secluded enough to feel like we were “in the mountains”. Thoughtfully appointed and nicely presented. Property manager was very helpful and easy to reach. We will definitely be back when we have to chance to stay in PF with family again.

Cozy cabin in a convenient location—private feel but close to attractions and easy to get to/from. Great communication from property manager. Had all the necessities and many extras.

Great cabin and location!

This cabin is great in every way! We have stayed in many cabins through the years, and this one may be my favorite. It’s the perfect size for a family of 5, and with the pool table, hot tub, and fire pit, there’s lots of fun to be had! For our stay, the cabin was very clean, had plenty of towels (this can be an issue!), and the property manager was incredibly kind and responsive. The location is fantastic for those wanting to visit Dollywood (about ten minutes away!). I really cannot say enough good things about this cabin, and I think we will be back!

It was frustrating because there was no directions on working the TV in the living room. Sometimes, it would say there was no internet connection. Was never able to get the TV on in the main bedroom or the lower bedroom. Beside that it was a nice cabin.

Firefly Hollow Cabin is our home away from home and we’re glad to be able to share it with your family. Hi, we’re Keith and Edie Lowhorne from Huntsville, Alabama and we have owned Firefly Hollow since 2016. We’ve upgraded inside and outside and are continually trying to improve the cabin for you.

We bought Firefly Hollow after visiting the area for many years and staying in several cabins. When we got closer to retirement, we had our eyes set on a Destin beach condo, but our heart was in the Smokey Mountains. We haven’t regretted that decision and now own a second cabin in Pigeon Forge. So why the cabin name Firefly Hollow? Every year, a unique event takes place exclusively in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The Synchronous Firefly or the scientific name, Photinus Carolinus, puts on a spectacular show where tens of thousands of these one of a kind lightning bugs synchronize their lights and flash in unison. The event has become so popular
folks have to register ahead of time, get a number if you’re lucky and be shuttled into the area to watch the magical light show. So, when you’re sitting around our firepit, roasting marshmallows for your smore’s (each stay gets a complimentary supply), hopefully you will see some magical fireflies dancing around. Now whether these are the Synchronous type is a wild guess. But now you know the story behind the name.

We love the fact you’re close by the attractions, eateries, civic center, softball and baseball fields and the strip. We hope you enjoy your stay and provide us with a 5-star review.
