We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin for a week. The cabin was very clean and had all the cookware we needed for our stay. We will miss our time at What A Lodge!
Cabin was very clean and full of activities. Kitchen had everything you needed to make your own meals. Plenty of porch space and seating to enjoy the mountains. Host was very quickn to respond when I had questions. We would stay again. Location was not far from town, but be warned if you have motion sensitivity, very curvy roads to get to the cabin.
Plenty of room! Close to town but far enough out you have wonderful views! The wrap around porch has plenty of seating. We traveled with 16yr olds who enjoyed the game room! The layout is awesome and I have not one negative comment about this home!
Absolutely perfect in every way. Fell in love with this beautiful home and especially the christmas tree. Spotless clean with everything you need available.
Such a wonderful property. Ideally located close to everything but off the beaten path. Completely fully stocked kitchen. Love the four separate suites. Game room was awesome. Communication with the owners was extremely fast. Definitely recommend.
This cabin was amazing!!! It more than met our expectations. It was really clean and very spacious. With our group of 4 couples, it allowed us each to have our own bedroom/bath (which was so nice for privacy). The game room was awesome--kept our group busy when we weren't out exploring Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge (which were amazing too). We even had a family movie night in the upstairs living room area (the TV was HUGE). We enjoyed the outdoor area as well, with the firepit, horseshoe pit and even playing corn hole. I forgot to mention the hot tub (so relaxing after a day of hiking). I feel like there isn't anything this cabin forgot to include! We also enjoyed having the big kitchen and dining area (as we all took a night to cook a full meal for the family). I am trying very hard to think of something that might be a con and I just can't. The host/hostess was extremely friendly and quick to reply to any needs we might have had. This cabin truly has it all, hopefully we will be able to come back again soon :)
Wonderful view, home has everything needed for a great family getaway. Enjoyed how quiet it was, and no close neighbors. Host very helpful on questions on the area. Will return.
Gorgeous lodge with amazing views, would return 100%. The information and instructions given were very helpful, and we had no issues with local wildlife. One thing to note: while the main level of the property is handicap accessible, the fire pit area was down quite a few stairs and our wheelchair-bound sister didn’t feel comfortable to try to navigate around the yard to get there in the dark.
This is our second year in this cabin and it is always perfect. The cabin has everything you could need and is close to everything. My family is looking forward to going back again next year!
Enjoyed our time with family. The cabin was very nice.

It's always a pleasure to hear when guests enjoy time with their family (and some relaxation as well)! We look forward to having you return again soon!
This was the perfect sized house for us in terms of beds, baths, and communal areas for book discussion and meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the view from the porch, our discussions in the media room, and space for all of us at the dinner table. This is a great house for a larger group and it is close to many attractions in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.
We enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It had all the amenities for an enjoyable family vacation. Beautiful views and great location as a base to exploring the area. We loved spending time around the fire pit with the family. We would love to come back again.

Why they chose this property
During a visit to the Great Smoky Mountains in the summer of 2019, we were captivated by the quiet beauty, the hospitality, and the easy access to all the amenities nearby. At that time, we decided this was the perfect area in which to purchase a second home to make return trips, expand upon the memories of the prior family vacation, and to invite family, friends, and guests to see what our excitement was all about. This wonderful experience needed to be shared, and we knew we needed a vacation home near the Smokies to call our own.
But we didn't want just any cabin. It had to speak to us personally. It had to grab us and pull us in from the moment we saw it. It had to take our breath away. But moreover, it had to feel like home.
The moment we saw this lodge, we knew we had to have it! It took our breath away!
With so many places to hang out and relax, and so many rooms to spread out and enjoy, we knew this would be perfect for our families to host reunions yet provide the privacy we all desire. The 3/4 acres of mostly usable land allows multi-generational families to choose from many indoor and outdoor activities, yet it's spacious interior allows everyone to congregate for meals, movie watching, or reminiscing.
Our family has been very blessed and thankful to have found a lodge that can accommodate many friends and families coming together, while still feeling warm and inviting, as if at home. Previous guests have thoroughly enjoyed their stay at this lodge, commenting on the love, laughter and memories made. In fact, many guests return year after year!
And that's what we were looking for....a property perfectly suited for us, family, and friends. We know you will share our enthusiasm for this lovely home and can't wait to have you join the What A Lodge family!
