This home is ideal for a couple of small families and offers everyone plenty of privacy and space. Start your day on the balcony and soak in the serene views of the forest and wildlife below, and in the evening, start a fire and get competitive for a game night or sit around the table and plan tomorrow's adventures. A TV is also available, so streaming a favorite movie and cozying up on the couch for a movie night is on the table!

Sitting on a couple of acres of land, this home is perfect for guests looking to enjoy a quieter setting while still being close to local conveniences. You will be just a short drive to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Eagle Nest Lake, where you can hike, fish, kayak, and snowshoe in the winter. Angel Fire is three miles away, where you can find several shops, restaurants, and breweries. Plus, the resort offers several year-round activities for everyone, such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking!

Our stay at Keith and Karen's Cabin

The cabin was everything we hoped it would be. The location was great, the rooms all very comfortable, and the view spectacular. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Great little cabin!

We had more than enough room and the location and property itself could not have been any better. Our 7 yr old LOVED having the freedom to explore the “backest back” wooded area behind the cabin.

Our stay at the Chalet

We were very satisfied with the accommodations. the BBQ grill was new and worked fine. There was a huge stock of firewood although the space heaters provided all the heat we needed. I would certainly stay there again!!!!!

Awesome Stay

We had a great time! The cabin was very cozy! After it got dark there wasnt much to keep kids entertained. A TV or two would had been awesome. The snow and view was beautiful! We look forward to a future stay! Keith was awesome responding and keeping us updated!

Cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We were a little disappointed the wood stove could not be used and we were looking forward to some star gazing using the telescope that was listed on the details page, but we could not find it. All in all, we would still book this cabin again.

Great cabin. Everyone had space. Everything worked fine. Only issue was that the circle to show the location of the cabin was a bit off. Had to drive more than expected. Minor issue. Definatly a place we will consider when selecting our next place to ski.

Ok but not great

Cabin is rustic and cozy, clean and comfortable and stocked with the basic essentials. However, there are steep stairs and a steep incline to access the cabin, which were not mentioned in the listing (pictures do not give a true representation of how steep the incline was). This was difficult for us, as we are older and have some problems in climbing. Also, the wood stove was not working and there was no TV in the living area. If there was one upstairs in the loft, then it was inaccessible to us. All in all, I would not rent this cabin again.

Overall the physical property matched expectations. The good Lovely family friendly cabin in secluded area. The unexpected Lights didn't work in the master bath and there were a few too many little spiders occupying the cabin The bad Wrong mgmt company phone number in my confirmation and no emails to welcome us until I went through the other mgmt company and they be gave me a regional mgr contact out of Colorado. The rep from V..... kept saying how they are busy and manage 30,000 properties but I truly didn't care to hear that because I didn't give a hoot about the other 29,999. I only wanted good services on 1 😲

Cozy and comfortable

It’s a very nice place and the location is secluded enough to be away from everything but still minutes from town. There is a telescope in the pictures that does not exist in real life. I had planned on checking out the moon on a clear night. It also seemed that it had been empty for some time as I found spider webs by the beds and dead bugs scattered here and there. The main bathroom toilet had proof of non-use with a skim of nasty on the water in the bowl. It had 99% of the items needed in the home ready for use. I really wanted a waffle, but no waffle iron, so I had pancakes instead. It would also be a good thing to have an outdoor grill. I would have settled for an inexpensive charcoal grill. Yes, I have a smoker, but can cook on those as well. The wildlife there is a major plus. I saw deer almost every day. They didn’t have a care in the world, just walked through the yard. The nights there are very quiet. Overall I enjoyed my stay there.

Disappointing

This is the first booking through Vrbo we have been disappointed with. While the property does have gorgeous views and the accommodations were as advertised, it had numerous issues. In the master bedroom the wood bed frame fell apart, and the blinds with missing slats letting bright light in a 5:30 am. In the loft, the bunk beds were missing supports that allowed the mattresses to fall between them and several of the electrical outlets did not work. The CO detector went off every time someone took a shower in the hall bathroom (steam?). And, not included in the exorbitant fees (which exceeded the rent), which include cleaning, you have to take your trash to the city dump area, which is a 20-minute drive. On the plus side, communication was good. The washer and dryer were great. And, the access to streaming content on the TV as well as wifi was appreciated.

Beautiful Scenery

Clean house, beautiful location. Not well stocked. Needs brighter light bulbs. Renting in winter but no firewood (nothing mentioned about bringing your own or we would have) No salt for icy/snowy stairs up to front door that was not cleared. Was not snowplowed and could not get up to house even with an SUV. Had to call and a plow came the day we were leaving. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Several pans had the non-stick coating totally worn off, one even had rust on it. Felt bad about these items. If remedied, would certainly rent again. The most difficult thing was trying to get anyone from Vacasa or whoever their local people are to communicate with our messages or get any help.

Enjoyable rental

The Chamberlain Chalet was a nice, comfortable place to stay. It is cozy, but with ample room for the four of us. The down side is the driveway. Upon our arrival the driveway was so muddy we got stuck and could not get up to the house. If it rains the driveway is impossible. The driveway is in serious need of repair.

Pathetic and dangerous home environment

Hi, The property was not cleaned before our arrival and this was in the midst of COVID pandemic. It took us three hours to clean the house, we had to wash the previous tenants clothes in washer , the bed sheets and it was a complete mess!! I need my full money back as the entire family stayed under the danger of infecting Covid. Please call me to refund my money!!

Very comfortable

We very much enjoyed our stay in this cozy, relaxing home, but guests should note that the house is actually 1mi from the turn off into Onate Dr. (dirt road), and just past Hideaway Dr. The home offers all that you might need for a relaxing getaway and is in a beautiful location that offers peace and quiet while also having easy access to nearby attractions and towns.

Cute and Cozy Cabin

Our family had a blast! There was plenty of snow on the ground for the kids (and adults) to play in. The scenery was breathtaking. Can’t wait to plan our next trip!!

wonderful family vacay

perfect location! 9 mins to angel fires ski slopes and 25 mins to red river! loved the field across street! our boys sledded their hearts out in the hills in the field and i even taught them to ski on the hills! loft was so cool for kids with its spiral stair case😍 the owner was very prompt in replying to all my millons of questions 😁 my hubby loved the wood burning stove and wood was supplied! we will back!
