Our lovely 1200 sf garden level apartment located on the East side of Boulder has spectacular views of Boulder and the Rocky Mountain Continental divide. Our totally separate apartment (not shared with anyone) has an open dining, living and full kitchen that bring the outdoors in, are a compliment to the large bedrooms. No stairs at the entry, a one level layout and wide doorways lend itself to being wheelchair accessible, but counter/sink heights are not ADA compliant. It is totally private with its own entrance, off street parking, heating, AC system, Wifi, phone, full size laundry, BBQ, outside table/chairs with view of Boulder and the Rockies.

We have lived in Colorado most of our lives and are very willing to share with you information on points of interest in and around Boulder and Colorado. We are avid hikers, down-hill and back country skiers and cyclists. We have 3 bikes & helmets to loan so that the 300 miles of Boulder bicycle lanes and multi-use paths are available to enjoy. Walking the foothills and prairie opens views to birds, evergreen trees or rock climbers.

About The Owner

Reed is a retired electrical and telecommunications engineer and businessman with degrees in both. Carol is a retired Speech Therapist, Language Arts & Learning Disability teacher.

We are actively engaged with a combined family (5 children, 5 grand children, 4 great grandchildren), friends, bicycling, downhill & backcountry skiing, hiking, chorale singing, dancing, traveling...…and life in general. We are both graduates of the University of Colorado in Boulder.

We designed our house and included an apartment for our parents to live in when they needed assisted living.

What makes this apartment unique

We are warm and friendly and have lived in Boulder for 35 years and have a wealth of information about Boulder and Colorado that we are more than willing to share with you. Having three loaner bikes for those who enjoy the wind in their hair is indeed serendipitous.

Comfortable, convenient, charming.

Perfect for us for two weeks building up to Christmas. Every convenience was provided by Carol and Reed. Winter light and views of the mountains from the spacious living room are awesome. We’re coming back when the garden is blooming and the fish pond isn’t frozen over!

Spacious, Comfortable Apartment; Close To Everything!

This was perfect for our needs. Reed and Carol are gracious hosts. After initial introductions, they left us to have our privacy. The apartment is beautiful with all that you need. Easy to find. Minutes from CU and several fine restaurants. Shopping is close by. Ample parking.

Really A Home Away From Home

The picture makes it seem as if the garden level apartment is one of several apartments, but it isn't; it's part of a very big home and was probably used to house a favorite relative, perhaps elderly, at one time. The best thing about this place is its location atop a bluff giving a view of the front range and the Flatirons. Otherwise, it was clean and carefully kept, with real consideration of what the occupant might need.
