Beautiful cottage on lagoon,walk to beach, great for couples or families

Spend your vacation relaxing in our sunny cottage on a peaceful lagoon overlooking the first hole of the Harbor Course in Wild Dunes. You will love the convenient location of our home, situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in the Lake Village neighborhood just minutes from the main gate of the resort. The beautiful, uncrowded beach is only a 6 minute walk from the front door. The Grand Pavilion, and the Wild Dunes Village Plaza are only a short walk or bike ride away. Decorated in a casual “beachy” style, this spacious cottage is perfect for your family or small group. The first floor includes a separate dining area, an eat-in kitchen, a comfortable living area with lagoon view, screen porch and expansive deck overlooking the lagoon and golf course.

There are three bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs which will sleep a total of eight. The downstairs master bedroom suite has a king bed and attached bath with dual sinks and recently updated shower. There are also 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with twin beds, downstairs that share a full bath, recently updated with tub and shower. The upstairs includes another master suite which also has a pillow-top queen bed, a private balcony, and an attached private bath with shower. Plush bed and bath linens are provided in all bedrooms.

Outside, watch the amazing sunsets from our expansive deck or take a nap in the hammock near the lagoon. The deck has plenty of seating for outdoor dining and entertaining. The cozy screen porch is perfect for enjoying that morning cup of coffee or for curling up with a novel on a lazy afternoon. For movie buffs and music lovers, our home includes a premium home theater system with surround sound and stereo speakers in the living areas and master suite downstairs. SONOS stereo speakers are located throughout the downstairs for you to stream your favorite music, as well as AppleTVs. High speed wifi provided through Comcast.

Our home is only a 30 minute drive from Historic downtown Charleston with its carriage tours, upscale shops, fine restaurants and art galleries. Nearby Sullivan’s Island and Mount Pleasant also have numerous shopping and dining options. Boating, fishing, and water sports enthusiasts will find the Isle of Palms marina on the Intracoastal Waterway conveniently located as well.

Great stay on IOP, with one caveat

My family and I were in town for Spring Break and really enjoyed our stay. The location in Wild Dunes is excellent- a short walk to the beach and pavilion. Communication with Lisa leading up to the stay was excellent- very prompt and helpful. The house layout was great for our family of 5 and the interior was updated and extremely well maintained. Only thing keeping it from a 5-star rating is the heavy amount of flying insects on the front patio and entryway. I know it's South Carolina in the spring so bugs come with the territory but they seemed excessive relative to other houses we visited during our trip. We used quite a bit of spray during our visit but it only proved to be a temporary solution.

Just what we needed

This property was perfectly situated for our family “girls” trip. Bedrooms on the main level were a must. The property was just what we were looking for and it was as advertised.

Wonderful Gathering Place

This cottage fit our needs perfectly to reunite my Mom and her siblings ranging in age from 84-97. Plenty of spaces to sit in and out. Decor is updated with lovely art work everywhere. Very well equipped and clean. For sure considering a second stay next year!

Lagoon paradise

Outdoor experience was fabulous. The lagoon and nature surrounding it was perfect. Furniture was comfortable. The screened in porch could use more housekeeping.

The house was perfect for our family of 4 and rhe location to the Boardwalk Inn, Sweetgrass, Harbor course, tennis center were a bonus. House has everything you need and the lagoon location was quiet and appreciated. Layout is inviting for family time! Golf cart rental is a must down here. Not because of the house location but because it just adds to the vacay jumping on the cart with the family for a spin in this great community. Lisa (owner) was great with good communication. Easy check in/out! Thanks Lisa!

Great cottage on Isle of Palms!

My family and I had an excellent stay at the cottage! It's located in an great location on Isle of Palms, in a very safe and family friendly community right down the street from the beach. The cottage is spacious with plenty of great amenities, and we especially loved overlooking the lagoon and community golf course right outside our back door. The owners were responsive while providing very helpful directions and information for both our arrival and throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a fun trip trip Isle of Palms and Charleston area.

Beautiful Back Deck

Great location with a roomy and quiet back deck overlooking water and a fairway on the golf course. Also walking distance to the beach. Parking is limited to 2 or 3 vehicles.

Fabulous Few Days in Isle of Palms

This was such a nice property. House was decorated so special with original art work on the walls. Deck had a nice view of a pond and golf course. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for us to cook which we did several nights. Lisa responded quickly to any questions I had. We had a family of 6 adults staying there and there was plently of space as well as privacy as needed. We rented a LSV cart from Lightning Bugz for the few days there. Great service for getting around between the islands.

Lovely place—absolutely recommend!

We are a blended family with kids ranging from early elementary to about to graduate high school. So we need space & comfort, and Lisa’s place delivered! Comfortable, beautiful and relaxing with everything we needed at our fingertips! We especially enjoyed the porches, hammock, and proximity to water. Our family’s favorite memories were: birdwatching, lizard finding, and we mayyyyy have fed the turtles a goldfish cracker or two! Lisa’s communication was also top notch, she is wonderful! Would absolutely love to stay here again for our next visit to Charleston/IOP!

Lagoon front house

Nicely equipped house with nice view over lagoon and many birds flying around. Beds are comfortable and very comfortable. Outdoor grill was rusted and needs replacing, but that’s the only negative. Would rent again.

Thanksgiving

Wonderful stay and couldn’t recommend this home enough. Great location near the beach and an easy drive into Charleston. Grocery store and a few good restaurants down the street. It was a great place to host our Thanksgiving vacation.

Terrific property close to everything.

Great home in terrific location close to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. Plenty of seating on the back porch with views of the pond and golf course. The communication with the owner was amazing. Definitely would stay here again.

Girlfriends Milestone Birthday Celebration

We are childhood girlfriends celebrating a milestone birthday. The Lagoon Cottage is a very lovely, uniquely designed property. Honestly, felt good vibes when I first saw the listing on VRBO. The owners were very professional, responsive throughout the bookings and during our stay. This place is a gem! Serene, peaceful, cozy, amble room inside and out. Very welcoming atmosphere, quiet, comfortable, awesome views of lagoon and simply very inviting. We splurged and had a chef come in for an evening dinner - the kitchen setup and dining area was perfect for our celebration. We immensely enjoyed our Birthdays and stay here and would welcome a return visit!

Beautiful & Fun Weekend!

Lovely property in a great location

We had such a lovely stay at this well appointed home. The location is beautiful, quiet, just a 5 minute walk to the beach, but without the massive amount of traffic on Palm Blvd. Will definitely look to book this again for our next Isle of Palms visit.

Amazing Vacation - Location, Location, Location

Can't share enough about how nice the house is and the location is perfect. The house is close to everything, clean, quiet, and with ample privacy even with neighbors being close by. The neighbors on the left and right are year-round residences and could not have been nicer. We had a wonderful time with plenty room for our entire family of 6 and two friends from the Charleston area joined us for couple of days. Lisa was an incredible host and communicated everything so well leading up to our stay we never had to connect while on our stay. Everything about the house and area was as described. Even, my kind of picky teenage daughter loved it and shared it was our best beach vacation and we have had a few so that was saying something. I would recommend checking out the IOP Marina, fun place for lunch and to rent a boat if so inclined but make reservations well in advance. IOP Marina is a short bike ride or drive from the house. They also have kayaks and paddle boards for rent. There are plenty of beach chairs provided and a beach wagon that worked out nice. We were not sure how far it is to the beach before getting there had a rough idea, it was closer than we thought, would say about 2-3 blocks though they are not true blocks per say, 6–10-minute walk and 80% of the walk is in the shade. It is also an easy walk (about 5-10 minutes) to the Wild Oats resort area for tennis, golf, deli, coffee...etc. This a perfect location and wonderful host for sure!!

Both natives of Pennsylvania, we met here in Charleston and have lived here for over 30 years. We love spending time at the beach with family and friends and purchased our rental home in 1994. We think that the Lowcountry of South Carolina is truly one of the most beautiful spots on the East Coast. We are fortunate to live in a vibrant, thriving community with a great mix of restaurants, cultural activities, history and not to mention, incredible natural beauty.

In addition, the beach access within walking distance takes you to a wonderful, uncrowded and peaceful beach...many times you will feel like you are on your own private beach. So if you are looking for a relaxing place to spend your vacation, look no further!
