About this property

Lower Keys Retreat and Boaters Paradise

Enjoy your stay at our beautiful Keys home! With a 60 ft waterfront dock--- only 3 canals from the Atlantic, there is plenty of room to keep your boat, use our kayaks and paddleboards, or sit and sip your favorite cocktail (the picture is older and all foliage around the dock has been removed, approx 32 ft of dockage before the boat lift). The 1,300 sq ft house features an open floorplan, 2 bedrooms (sleeping 6), pullout sofa bed (sleeps 2), and 2 bathrooms. We also have a "pack-n-play" and a bed guard rail for use if needed. The huge wrap-around covered porch is the perfect spot to have morning coffee or afternoon happy hour.
Just a short boat ride to the open waters of the Gulf and Atlantic, you are minutes away from world-class snorkeling and diving at Looe Key Reef, amazing lower-keys fishing, and unlimited sightseeing adventures. You’ll love swimming the sand bars at nearby Picnic Island and Marvin Key, or explore and find your own special place!
Boondocks Grille & Draft House and the famous Tiki Bar & Grill are just a mile away, a quick walk or bike ride from the house. Enjoy great food, live entertainment, and miniature golf the kids will love.
If you are ready to come and enjoy everything the Keys has to offer, this is the place to be!!

The house had more amenities than we expected. Paddle boards, kayaks, and more. The owner was great to work with when any questions came up. It’s close to loo key resort and had a friend stay there and come diving with us during the day.

Great location on Ramrod Key

We love this location for easy access to open water. Property includes 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards. Property manager was responsive and nice to work with. Renovated primary bathroom shower is beautiful. Could use additional updates including new mattresses/bedding and kitchen island.

Great kayaking spot

We spent a lot of time paddling out of the canal and into the shallow bay to look for aquatic life. We saw nurse sharks, Bonnethead sharks, rays, barracudas and more! The bird sightings were also wonderful - lots of herons and egrets and a resident osprey. We paddled around the small island at the end of the Key as well. The upper porch is a lovely place for coffee and breakfast in the morning.

November stay 2021

Our over all stay was very nice. We were disappointed in the lack of lighting downstairs, the dock electric not working and not a long enough extension cord provided to make up for the electricity on the dock not working. A safety issue was the set up for the washer and dryer. The lids are just too heavy and one of the cords broke holding up the lid while getting into the washer. We were lucky there was not an injury.
