  • Quiet and Relaxing Spot in the Keys

"If you are looking for a peaceful place in the Keys with all the amenities, this is your spot! Located in a quiet, upscale residential area, the house offers privacy and comfort. I enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen with the awesome stove. The rooftop deck is great to catch a sunrise or sunset or just read a book and enjoy the breeze. It is wonderful to shower outdoors in privacy looking up at all the palms! The canal has quite a variety of interesting fish and I recommend putting on mask and snorkel and going for a swim. The house is located less than 15 minutes from Bahia Honda SP, great beach to snorkel and soak up the sun and it close to a grocery store and pharmacy. The Looe Key Resort, in walking distance from house, offers daily specials and live music nightly. The resort also offers trips out to the reef at Looe Key but the winds were an issue for small crafts during our stay. Steve is great to work with and helped us get our kayak to the house without a hitch. We look forward to staying again sometime and would highly recommend his home to anyone who loves the beauty of the Florida Keys! Thanks Steve for helping us to celebrate our 25th Anniversary."

  • So glad I changed our plans and found this house!

"I had originally reserved a larger house a few streets down from this one. That was when there was going to be a much larger group. However, due to the fact that some friends were unable to commit to a vacation so far out, we had to cancel that house and I found this one. Tropical Paradise is the perfect name for this house. The views are better than what you'd see on the Travel Channel. I wish I could post some pictures, words just can't do it justice. We spent a week there and had a fantastic time! I brought my boat and we went out fishing and snorkeling just about everyday. Being just 20 minutes or so from Key West we did go into town a few times, but this allowed us to be able to explore more of the Keys and find the secret spots only the locals know about. If you can find it, Boca Chica beach is amazing for exploring and the stories you can hear from the locals are fantastic. There is also a great snorkeling place at the Ram Rod Yacht Club. It's not on a map, but if you ask the right questions, it's supper easy to find. We cooked most of our meals at the house, but I do wish we had been able to eat them all at Mangrove Mama's. I highly recommend it. Best conch fritters (more conch meat than any we had in Key West) in the Keys and their smoked fish dip is to die for. The house was perfect for two couples. It had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked and the screen porch is perfect for dinner. The pool, while not huge was perfect for relaxing after a long day in the hot sun, or for watching the sun rise. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and my wife loved the sheets so much, she found out the brand and bought a set the moment we got home. Our friends enjoyed the kayaks and going out into the bay to watch the sunsets. Although there was a little hiccup with getting the deposit in on time, Shannon and Amy worked well with us and were extremely accommodating. The only suggestion I have is to look into accepting payment via Pay-Pal. It is a very safe a secure method of on-line payments and is usually quicker than cashing a check. Overall, I will recommend this house to all of my friends and I am already planning my return trip. Thank you Shannon and Amy for a fantastic vacation. We will be back."

  • Great Place

"We stayed for 8 days and brought our boat. The dock was in excellent shape and navigating the channels out to the ocean was easy. Great location to boat to many places. There was plenty of space to park the boat trailer after putting the boat in at the marina the next key over. The house was in good shape with extra towels, linens, etc. The freezer does not make ice but buying ice was inexpensive and if I would have remembered I would have bought ice trays at the Kmart where we stopped for more sunscreen as the freezer was very cold. The AC system worked great (critical for summer in Florida). WiFi and basic cable worked with no issues. Lots of room for family or friends. The washer and dryer were in the guest bath making laundry very convenient. We enjoyed the property very much. We would stay here again."

  • Rick & Cindy Rowett

"Oh my where does the time go. We spent the months of February and March at One Particular Harbor. Another two great months. Whitney our property manager was helpful as always. We had a few cold night and windy days due to El Nino, but a lot of fishing was done. The boys had some great time fishing for barracuda, and caught some pretty big ones. Ours friends from Florida were here for a few days, the water was like glass and they had a great time fishing. Bet we see them again next year. Our daughter and her husband flew into Key West. They loved the airport and our first stop was lunch at Bo's Fish Shack (highly recommend this place), then to Duval Street for the Spice Store and the Candy Store (our son in law is a Executive Chef) love these two places. Once again the kayaks were on dry land. One of the years we will find time to try them. The wrap around porch was great for our weekly get together. The views once again over the marsh were beautiful. The Navy Blue Angels were practicing the end of March for their April show. We tried some new places to eat, The Square Grouper Upstairs and Downstairs, outstanding, Fish Restaurant also good and No Name Pub. We also got great fish at the Summerland Fish Market. Yes, and a FEW trips to the Wharf, Boondocks, Looe Key Tiki Bar and Springer's Bar and Grill for great Blue Grass Jam night. Met new neighbors and old neighbors, their names I forget but remember their dogs name. What else to say but a beautiful home, great and helpful owners, can not wait till January, going to try three months. Especially sad to leave when one of the locals hugged me and said see you next year."
