  • Quiet and Relaxing Spot in the Keys

"If you are looking for a peaceful place in the Keys with all the amenities, this is your spot! Located in a quiet, upscale residential area, the house offers privacy and comfort. I enjoyed cooking in the gourmet kitchen with the awesome stove. The rooftop deck is great to catch a sunrise or sunset or just read a book and enjoy the breeze. It is wonderful to shower outdoors in privacy looking up at all the palms! The canal has quite a variety of interesting fish and I recommend putting on mask and snorkel and going for a swim. The house is located less than 15 minutes from Bahia Honda SP, great beach to snorkel and soak up the sun and it close to a grocery store and pharmacy. The Looe Key Resort, in walking distance from house, offers daily specials and live music nightly. The resort also offers trips out to the reef at Looe Key but the winds were an issue for small crafts during our stay. Steve is great to work with and helped us get our kayak to the house without a hitch. We look forward to staying again sometime and would highly recommend his home to anyone who loves the beauty of the Florida Keys! Thanks Steve for helping us to celebrate our 25th Anniversary."

  • A Great Place for Family

"I tried to hit 5 star but, for some reason, nothing happened when I chose it. My family and I spent our first stay on Ramrod at this home.(Usually stay on Big Pine). Most enjoyable was easy access to the deep water. We were able to wrangle lobsters a half mile from the house! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy the water and have easy access to all the water activities. Good for couple with or without children. My grandson caught fish right off the dock. The home is a very casual laid back place where we felt comfortable and at home. Enjoyed the Tiki Bar right at the end of the road. Also, convenient access to all diving supplies. Comfortable beds, plenty of seating, lovely balconies.....nothing more to ask for. Thank you for allowing us to stay. My sweet Jack (our 4 legged child) loved chasing iguanas!!"

  • A great place to relax

"We spent 2 months in this lovely home and loved every minute of it. The home looks like the photos, very clean and neat. Even the first floor (where kayaks and bicycles are stored was clean and dry) As you climb the outside stairs you have access to the covered patio or enter the house in the kitchen/dining area. The living room is visible as the home has an open concept. Down the hall is a bathroom, 2nd bedroom and master suite with a nice stand up shower in the bathroom. The king size bed was very comfortable. An additional bedroom can be found at the top of the spiral staircase. The canal along side of the property empties into a shallow bay (it does have a channel deep enough for boats) the shallow areas are great for kayaks because boats can't access the area. We saw a variety of fish, found an island to picnic on and treasure the time spent exploring the area. There are two restaurants within walking distance. We ate at both many times and found that Taco Tuesday at Lookeys is very popular so get there early. This is a quiet area with friendly neighbors. Our visit was fantastic on the happy scale and Joe is a wonderful host. He was always available when we had a question and his directions were easy to follow. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and our experience here with Joe has been the best. I hope we have an opportunity to visit again soon."

  • Rick & Cindy Rowett

"Oh my where does the time go. We spent the months of February and March at One Particular Harbor. Another two great months. Whitney our property manager was helpful as always. We had a few cold night and windy days due to El Nino, but a lot of fishing was done. The boys had some great time fishing for barracuda, and caught some pretty big ones. Ours friends from Florida were here for a few days, the water was like glass and they had a great time fishing. Bet we see them again next year. Our daughter and her husband flew into Key West. They loved the airport and our first stop was lunch at Bo's Fish Shack (highly recommend this place), then to Duval Street for the Spice Store and the Candy Store (our son in law is a Executive Chef) love these two places. Once again the kayaks were on dry land. One of the years we will find time to try them. The wrap around porch was great for our weekly get together. The views once again over the marsh were beautiful. The Navy Blue Angels were practicing the end of March for their April show. We tried some new places to eat, The Square Grouper Upstairs and Downstairs, outstanding, Fish Restaurant also good and No Name Pub. We also got great fish at the Summerland Fish Market. Yes, and a FEW trips to the Wharf, Boondocks, Looe Key Tiki Bar and Springer's Bar and Grill for great Blue Grass Jam night. Met new neighbors and old neighbors, their names I forget but remember their dogs name. What else to say but a beautiful home, great and helpful owners, can not wait till January, going to try three months. Especially sad to leave when one of the locals hugged me and said see you next year."
