Our house was build circa 1909 with the original name Cobblehurst. It was the first homestead built in the area now know as No Name and is situated in prime position to maximize views of spectacular Glenwood Canyon. It is one of the first ever Craftsman Houses built in Colorado and retains many of the original features including river rock porch & fireplace & paneled ceilings. The setting is stunning in the middle of the Colorado Rockies but only a 3 minute drive into downtown Glenwood Springs which has many restaurants, shops and activities including the world famous Colorado Hot Springs.
Historic but also fully updated with a spectacular master suite which includes Steam Room, Sauna and Step Machine, The accommodation is composed of the living room, separate dining room, 4 bedrooms (one of which is the master suite); 2 bathrooms; Kitchen and Laundry room. Outdoor space includes a classic river rock porch; outdoor fire-pit; outdoor dining seating.
Sitting on 1.5 acres you have your own private forest which also includes a a large fenced in area for dogs. From the house there are multiple walks/biking trails including No Name Creek/Jesse Weaver Trail; Colorado River walk; and Glenwood Springs trail. Also very close to Hanging Lake which is one of the most amazing scenic areas in Colorado. World class fly fishing on your door step; along with white water rafting & zip lining. Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is just minutes away. It is is America's only mountain top them park and amazing place to visit with astounding thrill rides for the whole family.
For the winter No Name is nicely positioned,, less than an hour from Aspen and Beaver creek. Nearest skiing is even closer (<30 minutes) at Sunlight mountain which is a great option for family skiing at a fraction of the price of the larger resorts.

I spent three nights here with my daughter, her husband, my two young grandsons, ages 5 and 7, and two dogs. We loved the location - convenient both to hiking and to the Glenwood Springs attractions. The owner was responsive, and the check-in process
Charming cabin that feels like home. Marvelous artwork, dishes, and other special touches that made our vacation memorable. The beds are so comfortable and the outside spaces are perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. Thanks so much for the amazing hospitality!
From the moment we pulled into the driveway we were thrilled! The home has so much character and was so comfortable for our family of six.We had plenty of beautiful views and spent a lot of time watching the hummingbirds. The closeness of Glennwood Springs was so convenient. The home and area made our stay wonderful.
This home provided us a very comfortable, Currier&Ives-like, getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed the location and proximity to Glenwood Springs with spectacular views of Glenwood Canyon.
We had a wonderful weekend. The host was responsive and helpful. We would love to stay longer! It was not as remote as we were expecting; traffic noise outdoors that you could not hear inside. We saw eagles and hummingbirds galore! The beds were all super comfortable,
The house is very nice, clean and comfortable. It was well appointed with everything you need to feel right at home. We could walk to hiking trails right from the house & it’s a short drive to town and the hot springs. Would definitely come back!
Thank you for sharing your home!
Cobblehurst is one of the most unique and personable rentals we’ve ever stayed at! We loved the art and decorations around the house almost as much as the stunning canyon views. The hosts have thought of everything you might need, and they were so kind and accommodating to a couple special requests.
The house is one exit from town and sits upon some great trails. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting Glenwood!
Greeting you is a beautiful carved totem, chairs made of skis and baskets of blooming flowers! Open the front door and gasp in delight! It’s like stepping back in history with cozy colors, period furniture and sculpture and decor worthy of a museum! Wonderful layout and a kitchen well stocked with whatever you might need. The setting is amazing with the mountains, quaking aspens and a flock of hummingbirds right at the back terraced deck! Minutes from beautiful downtown Glenwood Springs, the mountain top amusement park and outdoor adventures! ,We can’t wait to return!

We rented this house for our wedding weekend and had asked and had approval to do our rehearsal dinner there. We were going to be staying alone for most of the time but had one night with extra guests for the wedding day. The neighbor was incredible aggressive and left angry notes on cars, contacted the host and complained about the number of cars multiple times, even after we moved all of them. The host was also very not understanding and threatened to call the cops and evict us for having too many cars (three at the time were present) in the middle of the wedding. I was contacted and threatened 7 calls during the wedding (which he knew we were getting married that day) 3 calls the following day during more wedding activities and 2 the previous day. We treated his house with nothing but respect. Cleaned everything and ended up leaving early because we so uncomfortable. It ruined our wedding weekend. He also demanded extra money for the guests, which we paid. I would highly recommended not booking this property. It’s beautiful but not worth the stress and tears. .
Overall, a great location W/O the busy Glenwood Traffic. Close to hiking trail and hot springs. Looking at all of the family heirlooms was an unexpected bonus
Steve's property is absolutely gorgeous! The views of the canyon from the back and front porch are phenomenal.. The originality of staying in a house built in 1909 with excellent and unique craftsmanship appealed to us. We stayed during the June 2022 Glenwood Springs MGCC Rallye and used this as a home base. There was plenty of space for our cars and group. It was during a heat wave, but once we figured out how to use the coolers and how to close up the house and shades during the day to preserve the coolness inside we were OK. We would definitely sacrifice middle of the day AC for the fabulous views and cool mornings with coffee on the porch. Steve was very attentive and we did not want for anything! Even though this place feels like a park retreat, you are just an exit or two away from Glenwood and the hotsprings. 5 star stay all the way!
We have stayed here before in the summer time and loved it so much we thought we would come back in the winter. Love this house and the location. The owners were very accommodating and have the house very well stocked! We will definitely stay here again.
We had a great experience staying here! There were some weather/travel issues in the area and we were informed and helped by the owners immediately. I would recommend them again for sure!
This cottage has such wonderful character, and we felt instantly at home. Everything was clean and well stocked. There were even chocolates and a bottle of wine! Our family had a blast playing board games (check out the 1980’s game Therapy). Great location right off the highway but on a quiet street you can walk up and down. Great for kids, adults, and our furry companion. Only downside was lack of air conditioning on main floor bedrooms. Otherwise it was perfect!
Great property. Exceeded our expectations. Terrific backyard and good location for walks and hikes and 5 minutes to Glenwood. I hope we can return next year.

About the host
Hosted by Steve Buchanan
Steve and Janett moved to Aspen Colorado in 2008 from Northern CA Both were born and raised in Scotland and moved the US in 1994. All 3 children were born in CA but have been raised in beautiful Colorado. They were looking for some time for the perfect home to host short term rental and couldn't believe their luck when this marvelous old home came on the market in November 2019. Being from Scotland they loved older homes and the history that came with them. Steve worked very hard with the historical society of colorado to have it as a listed home.
Why they chose this property
We love the canyon for the vies, wildlife and serenity, yet it is a 3 minute drive to downtown, where you can enjoy some wonderful restaurants and shops.
What makes this property unique
It was the first house built in No Name and was originally and apple orchard. Although he house was built in 1919 it has only had 4 owners. It is truly loved by everyone in the community.
