Whimsical Guest Cottage by a Mountain Stream

This guest favorite is back! This charming guest cottage at Greenwood Estate sits along a tumbling mountain stream just a few miles north of Warm Springs and the historic Warm Springs Pools. You'll enjoy the sounds of Gilletts Run, peace and tranquility, surrounded by nature by day and a star-filled sky at night.

The main floor of the cottage offers a cozy living room with a SMART TV to enjoy your own personal streaming services (powered by new and improved fiber internet service!), a main floor bathroom with vintage clawfoot soaking tub, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, front porch and back deck overlooking the expansive yard. The second floor features two generous bedrooms, one with a queen bed and balcony overlooking the stream and one with two twin beds. Both bedrooms share a full bath with double vanity and shower.

The cottage is served by central heat and a/c. Sadly, insurance policies prevent the usage of the pictured woodstove, but you'll love the creekside seating and fire pit with one firewood bundle included per stay! The yard offers the perfect spot to enjoy corn hole (boards provided), frisbee or a friendly game of tag or football. There is a gas grill on the porch and convenient parking just behind the cottage. Located just 10 minutes from Warm Springs, this cottage is worth the drive!

Great cottage in a beautiful spot!

We found the Greenwood Cottage to be clean and well cared for and the kitchen especially had everything we needed. A bit remote but easy to find with directions provided and outside is lots of deck space and the creek and lawn provided a serene environment to relax and enjoy.

Great place with amazing fire pit right along a stream with a waterfall!

The place was great, beds were super comfy with very nice linens on them. Kitchen was well appointed. Very close to Warm Springs Pools and Omni hotel but also not too close. Property had beautiful trees and landscaping with views of the farm next door and the horses and cows. We even saw a black bear and her cubs.

Wonderful cottage in an absolutely stunning location. House has an artist's cottage feel, with lots of good books on the bookshelves to read, that I sadly did not have time for since I was busy keeping my children occupied. The location is very private and rural, but there are other houses nearby so it doesn't feel too creepy at night (like other places out in the woods I have stayed). It is very dark at night and we brought our telescope with us. One tradeoff that comes with the extra private location, however, is that you have to drive at least 15 minutes to get anywhere that you might want to see, with the exception of Poor Farm Recreation Area, which is very close. The drive to Warm Springs is pleasant and scenic, but it did get a bit old for us goung back and forth because we had kids with us and had had a long ride to get to Bath County in the first place. This is just something to be aware of, I wouldn't say it detracted from our stay at all. Overall, it was wonderfuland relaxing.

Wonderful getaway in nature

Had a wonderful long weekend her with my Dad and my young kids. Was really relaxing, quiet and the surrounding nature was terrific. My kids had a blast playing in the stream. We had s’mores at the camp fire each night. The house was very cozy with good internet and was very comfortable. Nearby are many parks, hiking trails, historic towns and lovely views. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again. Be forewarned, this area has no cell service, so be sure to set your GPS before you get to the mountains. My phone had 0 bars until we were back on the highway. But that’s what I was hoping for. Very memorable

We love thos cottage so much. It has a beautiful stream next to it and perfect amenities for our girls weekend. The kitchen is well stocked and the whole house is very clean. The soaking tub is amazing too. There is the right number of beds for our group. I will say the double mattresses should be replaced they have been well used. We cant wait till next year.

Well-appointed beautiful home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Greenwood Cottage. The home was comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. The kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed the artwork on the walls. We had fun exploring the property and our kids (10 and 6) loved the swinging bridges. We hiked in George Washington National Forest and explored nearby Hot Springs. We'd love to return in the spring.

Hidden gem

We were a bit uneasy about the owner being right next door but Marty was nice and didn’t overstep any boundaries. The property is fantastic and it is right in the middle of some of the best motorcycle roads in the country. We spent 5 days doing day trips out of the property. We would absolutely stay there again.

Perfect Place for Relaxation

Super cute home on a beautiful property. Homeowner next door was very nice and gave us plenty of privacy. The creek is so peaceful and so many places on the property to enjoy it. So glad we visited the simple little towns of Bath Co Virginia!

Dream Cottage

We felt very privileged to be the first ones to rent this lovely Cottage. It was the perfect spot in so many ways. First of all it has multiple places to sit outside and hear and see the beautiful creek. Inside it is very tastefully decorated with art and comfortable furnishings. The owners who live on the same property have thought of everything you might need. You can walk to and sit by the natural waterfall which is postcard picture perfect! The kitchen is modern and very functional. The upstairs bathroom is also new with a great shower and 2 sinks. We only used the Queen bed and it was quite comfortable. That room has a walk in closet and a balcony that overlooks the creek. It is really an amazing property. I can’t wait to return!
