Beautiful apartment

The apartment is so tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and easy parking. The rock formations and tide pools with sea creatures were fascinating but inhibited our love of ocean swimming.

Getaway at Kure Beach

Great property right on the beach, you really can't get any closer to the water. Great proximity to Ft Fisher activities and walkable to the pier if you like a good beach hike. Property was clean and comfortable. We had no issues during the stay however, the owner is very accessible if needed.

Great Place for a Getaway

I rented this condo to celebrate my birthday with a couple of girlfriends. It was the perfect place for 5 of us for a long weekend. Everything was clean and comfortable. Teresa was quick and responsive to my many questions. Would definitely rent again!

Absolutely perfect!

Everything is perfect about this property. You are right on the beach, the shells you can find are amazing, and within walking distance of so many fun things to do for the family. We loved it, and the kids are already begging to come back next year! Our family of 5 had plenty of space.

Awesome oceanfront weekend!

This property is amazing - oceanfront is the perfect description! One of my girlfriends and I came for a long summer beach weekend (I’m 30 weeks pregnant and she has a 3 month old), so the close location to the pool and beach was amazing! Teresa was sweet and checked in on us during the weekend, and had a lovely condo that suited all our needs. Will definitely be back!

The best place to be in Kure Beach

This was one of the most pleasant rental experiences I've ever had. Not only is the host incredibly gracious and kind, the apartment is literally perfect. It's bright and sunny and has an impeccable view of the ocean, it's practically at your door. If you're thinking about coming to Kure Beach, this is where you want to stay. I can't wait to come back.

This beach condo is located in the perfect place! so convenient for my two little boys. And if we forgot something or needed something it was easy to run back up to our condo and grab it! The view!!!! Absolutely amazing!!! That's exactly what I want when going to the beach!! Definitely would recommend anyone to stay here!!

Great little home on the water

This little gem was as close to being on the water as it comes. The property was clean and tidy, and stocked with just about everything our family required. The owner was a pleasure to work with--very responsive and helpful. Keeping an eye on the tides, we were able to take advantage of the perfect little span of beach in front of The Riggings, socially distanced and comfortable. Recommended!

Loved our vacation

We loved our vacation at Teresa’s condo! It was the perfect location for a socially distanced beach trip with my family. The little stretch of beach in front of the condo was mostly private and the pool only ever had a few people at it at most. The condo is beachfront and the water is so close it’s like you’re on a cruise ship. We enjoyed getting takeout from several restaurants in Kure and Carolina beach and eating on the balcony. The beds were comfortable and the condo was clean. We will definitely be back!

Vacation State of Mind

Beautiful property. It was really quiet and peaceful except for the stomping upstairs. When we realized it was a toddler running back and forth, compassion overcame aggravation. I was disappointed in the kitchen - we cook on vacation and the knives were hazardous - literally came away from the base while using. Wish there had been some large bowls for stirring things in. Otherwise great location and lovely place.

Amazing relaxing condo

This property is perfect for sun, relaxing and recharging your batteries. As soon as you walk in you immediately enter relax mode. The living room over looks the ocean so you get immediate breathtaking views of the sun dancing on the water and later the moon light dancing in the water. The kitchen is comfortable to cook in. I made 3 meals a day for a week. Always had enough space for what I was making. There is a dishwasher and washing machine and dryer in the condo. They both come in handy. I can’t wait to book another week.

Renters Beware!

My husband and I have stayed at several very nice rentals in this area and this particular one is below the standards that anyone should have to accept. First, there is extreme beach erosion. There are very large sandbags in use and have been in use since 1985. The owner is stating that these sandbags were placed for the tropical storm but they were not. Google “The Riggins Sandbags” and you will see that this complex has had extreme erosion since it was built. If you plan on using the beach, you will only be able to use it for 2 hours a day at low tide. The rest of the time there is no beach as the waves rush up to the sand bags. Second, the unit needs a deep cleaning. Upon entering, there is a stong musty/mold smell. There are 2 dehumidifiers in the unit. The furniture covers have dirty spots/stains, there are water stains on the floor near the kitchen and soft spots in the floor. The dishwasher/stove have rust on them. Lastly, there are bugs in the unit. Both cockroaches and water bugs. We left the unit after seeing several bugs in the unit. I attempted to work towards a solution with the owner but she stated she would not discuss reimbursement. I am currently working with VRBO towards a solution. I read all of the reviews and there was one bad review for this unit. I thought it was a disgruntled renter, now I know her review was accurate. In this listing, there are not any sandbags in any photos despite the owner stating there is. Rent elsewhere!

B2 is a musty-smelling condo. As soon as we entered, the odor was noticeable and permeated every piece of furniture inside. I did not notify the property manager because this problem can only be resolved by using a dehumidifier 24/7. The ice maker on the refrigerator also didn't work, but that was not a problem for us. The king bed was very comfortable but every time I woke up, I got a whiff of the musty odor. This odor was present before Hurricane Erin skirted the coastline in front of Riggings.

Our stay here was great! The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful when needed. The location is absolutely perfect and right on the water. The space was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Will be back!

Felt like home

This location was a great location away from the busyness of the restaurants and bars yet close enough to go for walks along the beach. Very picturesque. Scenic walk to Fort Fisher and the state park beach too!
