This was not as it was advertised. We ended up going to another hotel the next night. Noisy location, not well lit, only one flimsy lock on our door, Next to a pub, no signage to find it, window leaked cold air. We did not sleep well and we were afraid to stay there.

Like many Ithacans, I went to Cornell University, and liked Ithaca so much that I stayed. I loved lake life, the culture & diversity of a University town and the affordability of such a cool place. I have been in the area since 1988 and have no plans to leave. I love it here. I went to Cornell for a Master's in Landscape Architecture, but now work as a jeweler and an innkeeper. Life is good.

Why they chose this property

I drove past the Inn for the first time in 1990 and it was in sad condition. It troubled me to see such a beautiful historic structure falling into decay. Not long after that, a local bank foreclosed on the property and I was able to purchase it from them. It took several years to renovate, but I do love a project...

What makes this property unique

It's a great sense of accomplishment to renovate, maintain and share such a special place with our guests.
