Just Right
This inn is just right. First off, a real Bed & Breakfast! A hot breakfast was wonderful each morning! The room was spacious and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Being an historic building, it was charming, though a little updating of the bathroom would go a long way. Location is very convenient to downtown Ithaca and wine country. The intersection around the inn is a bit busy and must be a trucking route. We found we did really notice the trucks at times on the weekday mornings. The owner is a great communicator. Though we never had the chance to meet her, the staff we did meet were very pleasant and accommodating. The attached pub was just the thing. The food and hospitality were both enjoyable. Would definitely stay again, if we're ever that way again.

Historic Hotel
My wife and I had a lovely stay at this place. We love old places, so this was right up our alley. We loved all of the details that the owner used to decorate. We loved the pub that adjoined the hotel, everyone was friendly, and the food and service were great! The next morning we came down to a common area to have coffee and read a few travel brochures. There was a gas-fireplace that warmed up the room. Later we went up to the ballroom to have a hot breakfast. We were served French Toast with raisins and a side of applesauce. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience!
We had an amazing time at the Rogues Harbor Inn, the room was super easy to book, communication with staff was prompt and clear. The bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations, we love staying in historic buildings and the Rogues Harbor Inn did not disappoint. The room was quaint and well kept and it was amazing to see all the artifacts from the buildings history decorating the halls of the Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food in both the restaurant and bed and breakfast was absolutely amazing. I will definitely visit again when I return to Ithaca! Thank you for a wonderful visit. Collin & Julia

Like many Ithacans, I went to Cornell University, and liked Ithaca so much that I stayed. I loved lake life, the culture & diversity of a University town and the affordability of such a cool place. I have been in the area since 1988 and have no plans to leave. I love it here. I went to Cornell for a Master's in Landscape Architecture, but now work as a jeweler and an innkeeper. Life is good.

Why they chose this property

I drove past the Inn for the first time in 1990 and it was in sad condition. It troubled me to see such a beautiful historic structure falling into decay. Not long after that, a local bank foreclosed on the property and I was able to purchase it from them. It took several years to renovate, but I do love a project...

What makes this property unique

It's a great sense of accomplishment to renovate, maintain and share such a special place with our guests.
